Take Me To The Beach Please!

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the Day At The Beach digital stamp from Impression Obsession.  Now if you're not a fan of digital stamps, they also have it as a rubber stamp here.  I had originally started it a week ago for the new Free For All challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, however, I was slowed down considerably by a migraine.  I still have it, but it's a tad more bearable now.

Once I had the image printed off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress and Adirondack caramel inks around it then layered.  Since I didn't have brads that matched the card base, I made my own faux brads by punching some small circles then adhering them to the layered panel using a 2-way glue pen.  After adding the image panel to my card base, I pulled out some blue gross grain ribbon from my stash and added that.  The only other embellishments added were an old Paper Bliss tag with caramel ink stippled around it and waterfall ice stickles to highlight the ocean waves.

Someone's Reason To Smile

Hello and welcome.  Today I have an Oldie But Goodie from Bugaboo Stamps called Someone's Reason which includes a digitally colored image as well as the line art one for you to color.  I've had this image for a while now and just haven't used it until now (NBUS).

After printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering it and adding some white brads.  My card is made using Stampin Up regal rose card stock with a long retired mini Stampin Up set called Beyond The Basics stamped in regal rose ink with a blush/white textured ribbon.  Once I added the layered image, I highlighted parts of it using Sakura 3D glaze pen and a Sakura Souffle pen.  The final touches were Ranger diamond ice stickles and some Picket Fence Studio Gin and Tonic sequins.  I am really happy with house this turned out since I'm still fighting strep throat and I really think something else as well.

Crappy Day

Hello and welcome.  Today is Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch The Bug and I have a dandy for you featuring Bugaboo's Crap SetFYI - Jodie has had some major computer issues since updating her computer and is still trying to get things fixed.  The weekly freebies can be downloaded from Catch The Bug.  Just look, or search, for the friday freebie post.

After combining then printing my image, I colored it using Castle Art pencils along with a blender pencil before stippling tumbled glass and garden green inks around it.  Once I had layered the colored image, I added some brushed copper brads and added it to a textured cocoa card.  The only other embellishments added were some copper cord, some unloved felt flowers with pearl centers and highlighting parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens.  I'm happy with how this turned out since I colored it while dealing with another migraine.  The migraine had gotten to the point of find something to distract me from the pain/nausea, or cry which would have hurt more I think.

A Birthday Hedgie

Hello and welcome.  Today is the 7th day of Bugaboo's Birthday Bash and with today's challenge, there is a flash freebie offered over at Catch The Bug. For my project today, I chose to use a different image than today's flash freebie since I had just used the same two days ago.   So for my project I am using the Birthday Hedgie 01 image.

After printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using copic markers and Castle Art pencils before sponging Bermuda bay ink around the edges and layering.  The card consists of a Bermuda bay base, dry embossed using a cuttlebug birthday greetings embossing folder and my big shot.  I then lightly sponged matching ink over the dry embossed sayings before deciding to also dry emboss a scrap of groovy guava card stock, and adding my layered image.  For the final touches, I added some dusty epoxy hearts and 3D glaze pens.  I'm really happy with how this turned out since my migraine rebounded while coloring.  Not a good thing I'm afraid.

Today's Menu

Hello and welcome.  Today is the Anything But A Card post over at Bugaboo's blog Catch The Bug. Since Thanksgiving is coming this week here in the United States, I chose to make a framed wall hanging for the kitchen using the Frame It Stella Today's Menu image. It's new to me and is also this week's freebie over at Bugaboo. (edited to add note: Jodie is having some issues with the store site so it may not have updated to show the latest freebie) As a mom I know I said this a time or two to my kids while they were growing up.

After printing the image off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before adding to a dollar store frame.  I then die cut some flowers from scrap black card stock before punching out some greenery using my Martha Stewart fern punch and some scrap green card stock then added some Stampendous bling stickers I've had for years.  With that, my frame was finished.  I'm really happy with how it turned out since I was dealing with another migraine.

What The.......

...fluffy???  Have you ever had a day that can be described by three letters???  Well, I'm having one of those days today.  Besides the migraine (thank you wildfires..not!), several other things are piling on and  just becoming overwhelming right now.  So I received this stamp set from Picket Fence Studios as a RAK and just had to use it along with Simply Wonderful (retired).

I started out by taking a long strip of scrap white card stock, folded in half and stamped the main saying before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges.  I then stamped the flowers onto scrap white card stock and fussy cut them out before pairing with greenery punched from scrap garden green card stock using the fern Martha Stewart punch.  As an after thought, I went over the stamped saying with a black prismacolor marker to make it stand out a bit more.

Sending You Sunshine

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share an oldie but goodie from Bugaboo Stamps called You Are My Sunshine and can be found here.  I think I've had this image for a few years now.

After printing off the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering onto scrap card stock and adding gold flower brads.  I then took my Tim Holtz sun ray embossing folder and dry embossed an orange panel using my big shot before stippling spiced marmalade ink over the embossed image.  I then dusted off some primas, added those with a yellow bling center before adding some yellow ruffled ribbon I had received as a RAK.  The final touch was highlighting parts of the sun rays using crystal ice stickles.

This Cat Is Too Cute To Spook

Hello and welcome.  Today is New Release Tuesday over at Catch The Bug for Bugaboo Stamps, and this little kitty is just too cute to be scary.

I started off by printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock then colored using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering.   It was then I decided I should have colored the background and grass before the layering so I dusted off my Stampin Up chalks and grabbed a eye shadow applicator I had bought years ago from Target's $1 spot, added the color, then erased the colors that ended up on the layered card stock.  For my card, I pulled out a scrap of Basic Grey Ambrosia designer paper I had bought on clearance at Michael's several years ago and added that to a white card before sponging spiced marmalade distress ink around the edges.  I then made a dry embossed border using scrap card stock, a Tim Holtz burlap embossing folder and my big shot and added that to the card.  The layered image I then popped up over the border using pop up glue dots and added a black/gold ribbon.  After adding some gold enamel stars to the image, I added a black Prima flower with a bling center and then some Jolee's Halloween stickers to finish it off.

Chocolate Fantasy

Hello and welcome.  Today is Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo's blog Catch The Bug.  As soon as I started on my card, my husband saw the image and said the card had to go to his sister.

After printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before lightly stippling Tim Holtz milled lavender distress ink then layering.  For the card, I pulled out some scrap designer paper (sorry can't remember what company) and added that to a chocolate chip card stock before adding my layered image.  I then pulled out some Stampin Up ribbon I had forgotten about, tied it into a knot, then added a copper circle clip.  The only other embellishments added were copper brads, white silk flowers I've had for years and a copper pearl bling in the center of the flowers.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream......

......for ice cream!!!  Hello and welcome.  Today is Freebie Friday over at Catch The Bug.  The freebie this week is this wonderful little ice cream cone with sprinkles and topped with a cherry.

After printing my image out onto white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering.  I then added some coral brads and added the panel to a multi-colored panel on a white card I received as a RAK (thank you Kelli).  I then stamped the wish saying in memento black directly onto the card before adding some velvet ribbon and prima flowers with a pearl center.  The final touch was highlighting parts of the ice cream cone using Sakura 3D glaze pens and a faux sewing border.

The World Needs

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using one of Impression Obsession's Cover A Card stamps called Hollyhocks (CC408).  It's a fairly clean and simple card but I'm really pleased with it.

I stamped the Hollyhocks (CC408) in Altnew lagoon ink onto Neenah white card stock, then stamped a never before used saying World Needs (D17288), also from Impression Obsession, in memento black onto white card stock and layered.  After adhering the saying over my hollyhocks, I added a teal bow sticker, some teal bling and finally diamond ice stickles.
