More Holiday Inspiration

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a couple of projects that I finally finished thanks to the flu. 

 

First up, is a set of ATC's made using the free challenge sheet for the December Conjurer of Dreams ATC challenge.  I did all of the image layering digitally before printing then adding my card stock layers using scraps.  Each ATC was then embellished using stickles, bling, photo corners from my stash and bows.

Next up is a snarky card made using the Christmas Mugshots and Wanted Poster Blanks from Conjurer of Dreams.  After combining the two sets digitally, I printed it out, added walnut stain distress ink along the edges before layering and adding brads.  I then printed out the Wood Bark Background, and adhered it to my card base before sponging walnut stain distress ink along the edges.  Once my layered image was adhered to the card base, I added some copper sequins and a epoxy candy cane sticker to finish it off.

I started out by printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring it using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink using a blending brush before layering and adding some yellow brads.  After adhering my layered panel to the card, I then added some bling and a small gingham yellow bow to finish it off.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Varada Sharma.  I would like to thank Varada for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  My card today is featuring Varada's Hot Air Balloons digital set.  

 

After printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using Ohuhu markers before stippling some tumbled glass distress ink then layering and adding some faux brads.  Once I adhered the colored image panel to my card, I pulled out a long retired Stampin Up set called Warm Wishes and added the "celebrate" to the bottom of the card.  The only embellishments added were then some tiny bling gems to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using an image I've had colored for some time, just didn't turn it into a card yet.  The image is from Simply Betty Stamps (now closed) and is colored using my prismacolor pencils. I have leftover tumbled glass distress ink stippled around her before layering and adding black brads.  I then popped the layered image up over a dry embossed spiderweb card.  The final touches were thunderstorm bling and some spider sequins.  I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge. My project this week is an ATC using Lawn Fawn's Flamingo Together mini set.  I love this mini because it reminds me so much of days at the Monterey Aquarium, and Chaffee Zoo, when my kids were little.  The whole ATC is made using scraps.

 

Using scraps, I stamped the main image panel, colored the flamingos before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then created the "beach sand" by dotting 3 different colors of Copic markers.  The final touch was a small floral spray, punched from scraps, with bling centers.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I've been wanting to make for some time just didn't get to it before now.  The images are from a retired set called Gnome Home Fall/Christmas from Pajama Crafter Stamps/Prickly Pear.  

I started out by stamping everything onto scrap card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I assembled the card before stamping my saying from a long retired Stampin Up set (Wishes Awash). I then added some copper bling before highlighting parts of the images using a clear Sakura 3D glaze pen.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Cowboys And A Red Barn

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a few Conjurer of Dreams images.  I started out by combining the Old Red Barn, Rugged, Barn Owl and Cute Dogs before printing the combined image  on Neenah white card stock, layering and adding some copper brads.  After distressing the edges, I adhered the layered panel to my card using pop up glue dots.  Digging through my stash, I found some twine and added that to the side before adhering some copper bling and a copper clip from my stash.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Barnyard Friends

 

 

Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share with your a fun image I colored over the last month or so - little by little while dealing with this migraine, and fibromyalgia, flare.  The image is a digital from Impression Obsession which is unfortunately closed now. To color my farmyard scene, I pulled out my Lyra and Castle Arts pencils and got to work adding layer/shades until I was happy with it.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it and added some vintage brads. As an afterthought, I also went and distressed the bottom layer using my paper distresser.  For my card base, I dry embossed a green panel using my Cuttlebug Branches embossing folder and big shot.  After adding my layered image panel using glue dots, I tied part of a jute ribbon around one side of the card.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made a few weeks ago, just never posted thanks to my health/migraines, using Conjurer of Dreams Fantasy Greyscale coloring book and Castle Arts Harmonious colored pencils.  Once my image was colored, I layered it and added some faux brads before adding it to a grey card base.  I kept my embellishments pretty simple: mauve organdy ribbon, silver star stickers from my stash and star dust stickles.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.
