Gus And The Calender WTF

Hello and welcome.  Today is Oldie But Goodie day over at Catch The Bug and I'm featuring a slim line card using one of my all time favorite Bugaboo Stamps called Gus Tidbits - WTF.  This image just cracks me up and is oh so appropriate after dealing with 2020 and the start of 2021.  

After combining the image, and saying, in MS Word then printing onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before blending some going grey ink around the edges of the image using some Picket Fence Studios blending brushes.  Once I was finished with the blending, I layered the image onto Stampin Up black and olive card stock.  For the card, I took white Neenah card stock and adhered some Basic Grey Motifica designer paper I had bought on clearance at Michael's several years ago and never used (NBUS) before blending old olive ink around the edges of the card then stamping a retired Stampin Up Sanded background stamp in brown ink.  I then took my old olive marker, ran it alongside the layered image before running a Tim Holtz distresser tool along the edges then added to the card.  I then took some dusty, yet never used (NBUS) Robins Nest fresh mowed grass dew drops and added them to the corners of the layered image as my "brads" and then added some to the bottom of the card.  My final embellishment was highlighting parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens, old olive marker with color spritzer tool and a black artist pen.

Thoughts And Prayers

Hello and welcome.  Today is the Oldie But Goodie day over at Catch The Bug.  My project today uses the Beautiful Blocks - Thoughts and Prayers. I know we could all use cards for the following occasions: sympathy, thinking of you, get well, etc.  This image covers all of those completely.

 

After printing the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using prismacolor markers before lightly stippling some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink over/around the image then layering and adding brads. I then took my Cuttlebug floral screen embossing folder, dusted it off, and dry embossed the card base using my Big Shot.  Once that was done, I sanded the dry embossed card to "soften" it a bit before adding the layered image.  I then dusted off some Queen and Company Sassy Sequins and added them to the card and layered image using micro glue dots.  The final touch was adding a touch of diamond ice stickles to highlight the flowers.

Crappy Day

Hello and welcome.  Today is Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch The Bug and I have a dandy for you featuring Bugaboo's Crap Set.  FYI - Jodie has had some major computer issues since updating her computer and is still trying to get things fixed.  The weekly freebies can be downloaded from Catch The Bug.  Just look, or search, for the friday freebie post.

After combining then printing my image, I colored it using Castle Art pencils along with a blender pencil before stippling tumbled glass and garden green inks around it.  Once I had layered the colored image, I added some brushed copper brads and added it to a textured cocoa card.  The only other embellishments added were some copper cord, some unloved felt flowers with pearl centers and highlighting parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens.  I'm happy with how this turned out since I colored it while dealing with another migraine.  The migraine had gotten to the point of find something to distract me from the pain/nausea, or cry which would have hurt more I think.

Sending You Sunshine

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share an oldie but goodie from Bugaboo Stamps called You Are My Sunshine and can be found here.  I think I've had this image for a few years now.

 

After printing off the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering onto scrap card stock and adding gold flower brads.  I then took my Tim Holtz sun ray embossing folder and dry embossed an orange panel using my big shot before stippling spiced marmalade ink over the embossed image.  I then dusted off some primas, added those with a yellow bling center before adding some yellow ruffled ribbon I had received as a RAK.  The final touch was highlighting parts of the sun rays using crystal ice stickles.
