A St. Patrick Cat In A Hat

 

Hello and welcome.  Second post from me today.  To see my Stained Glass Mushroom card, please scroll down one post.  For this post, I'd like to share a card made using the free newsletter digital image  from Gerda Steiner Designs called St. Patrick's Day Cat and Hat. 

 

I started off by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock then colored using both prismacolor and copic markers then layered and added brads.  For my card base, I pulled out a Recollections© All Seasons paper pad I've had in my stash for who knows how long.  After selecting my designer paper, I adhered it to a white card base before adding my layered image panel.  Digging through my stash of Prima© flowers, I dug out two polka dotted flowers, added them to the card using glue dots,  The final touches were some bling shamrocks I had forgotten about and some green/white bakers twine.

Fall Mice Thankful For You

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a cute little fall card I made using the Gerda Steiner Designs Fall Mice that I was gifted from a friend. 

I started out by stamping the mice on Copic X-press It card stock before coloring using copic markers.  Setting those aside, I stamped all the individual pieces (fruit, gourds, pie, wheelbarrow) on pieces of scrap X-press It card stock, colored and fussy cut all the pieces out to adhere later.  I then created my leaf ground cover by adding several colors/layers of dots.  Once that was finished, taking my slimline cloud stencil and created my sky background before adhering all of my small cut out pieces.  I did pop up the wheelbarrow on pop dots to add some dimension to my card.  The final touch was adding lots of falling autumn leaf sequins.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Woodblock Wednesday August 2023 edition

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today begins the new Woodblock Wednesday challenge.  This monthly challenge inspires us to pull out those woodblock stamps (we all have them) that we're not using, and show them some love.  Since I'm behind making my Christmas cards for this year, I pulled out a couple of House Mouse stamps to use.

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink on some Copic X-press It card stock before coloring using both Prismacolor and Copic markers before stippling some Stampin Up soft sky ink around the edges and to fill in the white spaces.  I then layered the image panel and added some metallic red brads before setting aside.  Taking a retired Stampin Up holly jumbo wheel, I stamped the card base with Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink before adding the layered image panel using glue dots.  The final touch was adding some crystal and waterfall ice stickles. Just A Pair Of Scarecrows

Hello and welcome.  Today is Freebie Friday over at Bugaboo Stamps and I have a cute little card I made using this week's Friday freebie and the newsletter freebie combined.  Not a subscriber of the newsletter, then go to the challenge blog to sign up.

 

After combining, then printing, my images onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored them using Castle Art pencils before stippling several Tim Holtz distress inks over and around them then layered.  Once I added some brads, bow and faux sewing, the layered image was added to my card.
