PIP Challenge 2606

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Sheepski Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Andrea for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Sheepski's Retro Rocket digital set.

After printing the images out onto Neenah white card stock, I colored them using my Ohuhu markers before stippling Tim Holtz chipped sapphireaged mahogany distress inks and Stampin Up basic gray dye ink to create my "space" background for the images.  I then added some tiny "star" confetti before adding Ohuhu's glitter metallic marker pens to highlight the planet and rocket flame.  The final touches were a black organdy ribbon and highlighting the "windows" of the spaceships using a clear 3D glaze pen.

A Wanted Halloween

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a couple of cards I made for Halloween using images from Conjurer of Dreams.  I've had these cards finished for a few days, just not photographed or blogged due to my health.

First up, is a cute little friendly robot card.  I started out by combining the following COD images using Photoshop©:  Cute Halloween RobotsYou're Driving Me BattyHalloween QuotesPhoto CornersBlack SilkAged Papers and a COD Inspiration Group freebie background from last year.  Once everything was combined and printed onto Neenah card stock, I added some faux brads before layering it on some black scrap card stock I had on my desk from a previous project.  After adhering to my card base, I added a black ribbon, some spider sequins and some bling to finish it off.

Cardz 4 Guyz #379 - Use Orange/Black/Purple + One More (used tan/brown, made for the little guys)

My second card uses one of the Halloween Mug Shots combined with the Halloween Photo Corners and the Wanted Poster.  After printing the witch image, I colored her using Ohuhu markers and a white gel pen before layering and adding brads.  The final touches were sequin spiders and some black bling.  I'm really happy with how both of these turned out.

Tranquility At The Beach

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made over the last several weeks in between my migraine and fibromyalgia flare-ups.  I used an image from Conjurer of Dreams greyscale coloring pages called The Beach.  Anyone that really knows me, knows the beach is my happy place.  I could just sit on the sand watching the waves for hours.

After printing it on Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both Lyra and Castle Arts watercolor pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I softened everything using a prismacolor blender pencil before layering and adding some sand dollar brads from my stash.  After adhering the layered image using glue dots, I added some "seagulls" using a black gel pen before adding some star dust stickles to the wave white caps.  After adding a scallop shell sticker from my stash, I added a few Meraki green shimmer bling to finish it off.  I'm happy with how it finally turned out.

PIP Challenge 2426

Sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship this week.  I decided to increase my children's birthday card stash so this week my card features Lawn Fawn's Winter Narwal set I received from a friend and hadn't used yet.

I started out by stamping the main image on scrap white card stock before cutting up the Happy Birthday included with the set.  Once I had done that, I wanted to create my own saying, so I stamped the Have A Narly saying first before stamping the Birthday underneath it before coloring using my copic markers.  After I had the image panel colored, and layered, I adhered that to a retired Gecko Galz ATC Anchor's Away background sheet then layered that.  Since I was making this for a child's birthday, I didn't add any embellishments so the card could be used for any child's age.  Now as an afterthought, I lightly stippled leftover tumbled glass distress ink from a previous project.  I'm fairly happy with it especially since my migraines have been really active again.

Run Up To Christmas 2023 Week 8

Hello and welcome to week 8 of the #runuptochristmashop2023 and this week we're being inspired to Make A Scene.  Now I love scenic stamping so this challenge is "right up my alley" so to speak and I knew the stamp set I wanted to use.  I just received this Snow Village set by Impression Obsession from a friend that's been on my wish list for some time now.  I decided to use my church in Anchorage, Alaska as inspiration for my scene.

I started out by stamping the village in memento tuxedo black ink on a slimline scrap panel before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I pulled out my Slimline Cloud stencil from Picket Fence Studios and created my cloud background using Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink and blending brushes.  At this point, I decided I needed some more trees and a couple of snowmen, so I stamped those on scrap white card stock, colored using gel pens, then cut out to adhered to my card.  After stamping my saying from Colorado Craft Company's Bethlehem's Light, I then adhered the image panel to a spruce green card before adding the clay snowflakes from  plum pudding sequin mix and diamond ice stickles because snow just had to sparkle.

Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas)

Hello and welcome.  My late grandfather used to live in Honolulu and seeing the news about the Maui wildfires got me thinking of him again and all of the laughs, and fun, we used to have together.  Grandpa was a true gentleman....with a wicked sense of humor.  LOL  So, I pulled out a couple of beach/palm stamps I received from a friend when she had to downsize and hadn't used yet.  Grandpa, this card is in your memory.  I think I'll send this to my brother for Christmas.

I started out by stamping the palm trees from Stamp Yourself Silly (now closed) and the beach Santa from PSX in memento tuxedo black ink onto a Hammermill white panel before coloring them using my Lyra and Castle Arts pencils.  Once the coloring was finished, I pulled out my retired Close To My Heart Tropical Christmas stamp set and stamped the Mele Kalikimaka in memento black between the palm trees before stenciling the background clouds using my slimline cloud stencil from Picket Fence Studios and Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink.  After layering the image panel, I added some copper brads, waterfall ice stickles, and hand drawn "birds" using a black gel pen.  Santa's sunglasses are also highlighted with the neon blue gel pen.
