Thanks for stopping by! We hope we were able to inspire you with ideas for your Halloween/Harvest season.

I have two projects to share with you today - one for traditional Halloween gift giving and one for birthday's.  You can find the tutorial here on SpeedyTV for creating your own Halloween/Harvest treat gift bags.

My first project is for traditional Halloween gift giving and was made by stamping my ghost from What A Scream in memento black onto white card stock before coloring with a prismacolor marker.  Once the coloring was finished, it was set aside to be cut out and adhered later.  Then I stamped the candy corn background on BOTH the orange and black layers (in matching ink) before over stamping the saying in memento black, filled my bag with candy and adhered the bag topper by stapling it together.  Then I took the cut out ghost and adhered it to the candy filled bag using glue dots.

Now if you don't want to give out candy due to food allergies, or personal preference, another option is to hit the $1 store or dollar bins and fill a gift bag with one of those treasures like this candle from Michael's.

My next project I made as part of a birthday present using my step-sister's birthday as inspiration.  Since Darla's birthday is actually on Halloween, and she doesn't celebrate it, I needed something fitting more of a fall theme.

After stamping my main images from Autumn Splendor in memento tuxedo black onto white card stock and coloring with prismacolor markers, I cut out those images and set them aside to add later once my gift bag was assembled.  Then I stamped both layers of the bag topper in matching ink before filling my bag and adhering the topper with a stapler.  Taking the cut out images, I then adhered those to the stapled topper using glue dots.  Here's a close up of the gift bag.

Since I had already made my step-sister's birthday card, it was just time to add it to the ensemble.  Here's the blog post and instructions on making the matching birthday card since I used ten (10) different sets to make it.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win this week's featured sets.

Continuing again on the quick, easy and inexpensive Christmas/hostess/birthday gift ideas, I have two more to share showcasing today's featured set.

Now I love shopping in the store dollar sections, or just a plain dollar store to find a lot of my ideas.  So my first project today is a quick and easy gift using some of the coffee bricks you can find each year during the holiday in the Target $1 spot along with some matching candy.

I started out by stamping two coordinating layers of card stock with Just A Note using Tim Holtz pine needles and fired brick distress inks.  Then, taking a scrap piece of snow storm, I stamped various Christmas Selections images in memento black before coloring with koh-i-noor pencils and a blender marker.  Once my coloring was finished, I stamped the saying from All Is Calm then stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges.  Here's a close up of the finished gift bag topper.

Then taking a glassine gift bag, I added some pre-shredded paper to the bottom before adding two Ghiradelli© Chocolate Peppermint caffe bricks, some Ghiradelli© Peppermint Bark bars tied up with green/gold bows, and then some Hugs© Candy Cane kisses before stapling the bag top shut and then adding my gift bag topper using staples to make sure it stays shut.  This gift only takes about 10-20minutes to make depending on how detailed, and how much stuff you want to add inside the bag.

My second project uses an acrylic photo frame I picked up at Michael's in the photo section (again dollar stores work just fine) took out the paper insert and traced onto snow storm card stock the size of the insert before trimming it down 1/4inch.  Then I inked up Just A Note in memento black, stamped it on the trimmed down card stock, and layered onto masonary red card stock.  Then taking the birdhouse from Tweet That, I stamped the birdhouse in memento black onto snow storm, colored with prismacolor markers before stippling with tumbled glass distress ink then layering and re-inserting into the frame.  Turning the frame on it's "back", I added a small set of post it notes for messages and  - PRESTO! My own handmade notepad to keep by a phone.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.

Below are the designers participating in the hop. Some may have a tutorial, or project, each day and some may not.

One of the best things about being crafty is saving money by making my own gift bags to use.  Today I am sharing with you an easy project using Tim Holtz carved ornaments die, Christmas Cardinals stamp set, designer paper, and some yummy ribbon.

I started out by die cutting some Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company snow storm smooth heavy card stock using my Tim Holtz carved ornaments before stamping the images from the Christmas Cardinals and colored with prismacolor markers.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I pulled out some red/green plaid designer paper from my stash, cut it to size, and adhered it to my gift bag using some scor-tape.  (TIP: I highly recommend using scor-tape or something just as strong since the bags handles will cause any other adhesive to "give way".)  After I was finished adhering the designer paper, I added my cardinal ornaments using the same scor-tape, and then added some pre-made ribbon bows left over from last year from Wal-Mart.  A die cut poinsettia embellishes the top left corner for a little extra "something".  My final touch was to add a die cut tag with a thin strip of ripened tomato satin ribbon along with some Michael's $1 bin white/silver organdy ribbon after stamping a cardinal on the tag using Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink and edged with pine needles distress ink.

Here's a close up of some of the details.
