Boris And Company

Hello and welcome to another week.  Today I am sharing a card I made for this month's Your Next Stamp Tasty Tuesday challenge.  It's been a while since I've been able to participate in one of YNS's challenges thanks to my migraine flare ups, but this weekend I just had to get something done migraine or no migraine.  I also decided I would keep my card clean and simple - or at what's clean and simple (CAS) for me.

At first I wasn't sure what to do with the inspiration photo, however after going through some of my YNS stamps, I finally settled on the Boris From Russia set I had won last fall during the SCS Hope You Can Cling To Challenges.  So after stamping my images in memento tuxedo black, with Boris being stamped twice, I pulled out my prismacolor markers and got to coloring before sponging Stampin Up! baja breeze and chocolate chip inks around the edges then layering.  I then but a panel of chocolate chip card stock, dry embossed it using a cuttlebug Moroccan embossing folder that needed to also see some love, and added that to my card.  The only embellishments are some vintage brads and the second image of Boris popped up using mini pop dots.

Fiona's Summer Bike Ride

Hello everyone!!  Today I am sharing a card I made on Friday for the Your Next Stamp Summer challenge, however, my migraines haven't allowed me to upload it until now. 

I started out by stamping Fhiona Riding Her Bike and the flowers in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock before coloring with prismacolor markers and stippling Stampin Up! bashful blue ink around her for the sky.  I also stamped the clouds and sun twice from Flying High Accessories before coloring those also with prismacolor markers and sponging with ink.

Once all of my stamping/coloring was done, I layered everything onto a Lily Bee Happily Lost designer paper card before adding some ruffled ribbon, bling flowers, brads, and then the popped up clouds and sun to finish my card off.

Celebrate!

Hello and welcome to the first Your Next Stamp challenge hosted by my buddy KJ.  This week's challenge is a color one: pink, orange and green, so I went with a celebration theme and pulled out my Celebrate set I won from the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over on Splitcoast back in October and got to work even with a migraine.

I started out by stamping my pinata onto white card stock in memento tuxedo black and colored with prismacolor markers before cutting one pinata out and setting aside to pop up later.  Then I stamped the banner in memento black and also in Stampin Up! pixie pink onto scrap card stock so I could color the open "flags" and cut/paste the solid ones.  After that I stamped the streamers in only orange before stamping the card in green galore and adding a scalloped border.  The only embellishments I added were ribbon, balloon brads, and primas with baby brad centers.

Also made the card for this week's SCS WT378 banner challenge.
