PIP Challenge 2230

Hello and welcome.  Today starts a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week our sponsor is CAS-ual Friday's Stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.  For my mini slimline card today, I am using a couple of retired sets I've had for a while called
Angel Hugs and Flower Angel.  Before getting to my project for this week, a little update on my health issues.  The long haul COVID issues, my migraines along with a lower back injury have been really driving me crazy lately to the point it's either craft or cry again.  Obviously, I've chosen craft to try and keep my mind off of everything.  After having been told if I wasn't vaccinated, and boosted, I would probably have ended up in the hospital from COVID, and it wouldn't have been pretty.  So please, please, please get vaccinated, and boosted.  I would not wish COVID on anyone.  Ok, that's my PSA for the week.  On to my card now.

I started out by stamping my main angel image in memento tuxedo black ink before stamping the saying right underneath.  After coloring it using both Prismacolor and Copic markers, I layered it before adding bradsOnce layered, I added it to a yellow card base using pop up glue dots.  Once it was popped up, I decided to add some small paper flowers using a MS hydrangea punch and Ranger Glossy Accents then adding some gold/crystal ice stickles to the flower centers and halo.  I really like how my card turned out.  I've had these sets for a while and just haven't used them yet.

Hello and welcome.
Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are being sponsored by CAS-ual Friday Stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.  My card uses the following stamps and dies: Coffee Talk and Coffee Cup Die.

I started out by die cutting from scraps, my coffee cup and saying using my big shot along before stamping the saying in the middle of my cup and then stippling Adirondack espresso ink over them.  I then dry embossed two panels using a dusty cuttlebug mesh embossing folder before stippling matching ink over the raised image.  After adding the cup and saying, I made my own floral spray in the middle using Martha Stewart punches and Ranger Crystal Accents as adhesive.  After adding some ice stickles to the flower centers, my card was finished.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.  Still not feeling up to par from the COVID and migraines, but I think I'm slowly starting to feel better.

 Challenge 2136 - Team A, Sept. 6

Hello and welcome to another challenge for Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week we are being sponsored by  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.  My card today is using a stamp set, and matching die, that I am IN LOVE with!!  Did I say I was in love with them?  The stamp set has just enough snarkiness to be funny, yet there are sentiments in it that are great for other times.

I started out by die cutting my coffee cup using the Coffee Cup Dies from groovy guava card stock then stippling some guava around the edges to "age" the cup a bit before die cutting my coffee saying from scrap close to cocoa card stock.  I then stippled matching cocoa ink over the lettering to help them stand out on the card base.  My sayings were stamped in memento tuxedo black ink from Coffee Talk onto scrap guava before punching the saying out and stippling guava ink around the edges then popping it up over the die cut coffee saying.  The second half of the sentiment was stamped in memento tuxedo black directly onto my die cut coffee cup before adding punched cocoa flowers using Ranger glossy accents as the adhesive.  The final touches was some guava ribbon I've had for a while and copper ice stickle centers

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies and this week we are being sponsored by Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.

I started out by die cutting the large coffee mug and "coffee" saying from the Coffee Cup Dies set before stamping, onto the mug, the additional saying from the Coffee Talk set in memento tuxedo black.  I then lightly blended Tim Holtz stormy sky and tea dye distress inks over the mug before doing the same to the die cut coffee saying in Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink.  After adding some chocolate ribbon, I added the walnut stain ink to the inside of the mug before adding a little glossy accents to make the coffee look more real.  The final touches were a couple of prima flowers with a bling center.  I really like how this turned out since I was dealing with another migraine as well as using more of my never before used (NBUS) stash plus more of my scraps.

Hello and welcome to another Pammies Inky Pinkies challenge.  As always our challenges are anything goes.  This week we're sponsored by  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and I'd like to thank them for the stamps provided to the design team.  For my card, I am using the beautiful Everyday Dragonflies and there are matching dies here

After stamping the larger dragonfly in memento tuxedo black ink onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art Pencils before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass and tattered rose distress inks around it then layered.  Once I had added some brads from my stash, I adhered the layered image to a card made using white card stock and Echo Park Clover Meadow designer paper I've had for years and never used (NBUS) until now before sponging regal rose ink around the edges.  I then stamped the saying in memento tuxedo black onto scrap white card stock then lightly stippling leftover stormy sky ink around it before layering onto scrap card stock and added that to my card using glue dots.  I then took some scrap wasabi card stock, punched it using my dusty Martha Stewart fern punch, ran it through the crimper before adding to the card using Ranger Glossy Accents along with some Jolee's die cut flowers with bling centers.  The final touch was to add crystal ice stickles to the dragonfly's flower centers and hearts.  I'm very happy with how this turned out and I got to use a lot of scraps in the process of making it.

Red Poppy Thanks

Hello and welcome to another week.  Definitely not a happy Monday for me as I'm dealing with a nasty migraine again so it's a good thing I was able to come up with a clean and simple card during the few moments my head wasn't pounding for a couple of challenges.

With the holidays over, everyone needs a few thank you cards and this one is so easy to mass produce as well.  My image and saying are from Welcome Poppies by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company and is stamped onto MFP white then colored with prismacolor markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I layered the poppies onto MFP scarlet and black linen card stock along with some Making Memories black baby brads.

Winter Snowflake Wishes

Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Cornish Heritage Farms post, please scroll down one.  Thanks.

Today I am sharing a card with you I made combining a few challenges together in order to try and get some mojo going again after dealing with more migraine issues, among other things, for the last couple of weeks.

For this card, I went with a clean and simple (CAS) look with just a splash of color.  After stamping the snowflakes from the Winter Scenes set by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company in Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink, I dry embossed a white panel using a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder with my Big Shot before adhering it with glue dots.  Then I punched three large snowflakes from scrap white card stock using a Martha Stewart jumbo punch before adhering some blue gem stickers.  My final step was to stamp the saying in memento tuxedo black directly onto the embossed panel from the Winter Scenes stamp set.  Presto!  An elegant, clean and simple card done in under 10 minutes.

Challenges submitted:

SCS Fan Club - Baby It's Cold Outside
CAS-ual Fridays - CFC83 10 Minute Craft Dash
Crafty Friends Challenge - CFC#13 Add A Splash Of Color

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and a very Merry Christmas.

Fight Like A Girl

Second post for me today.  At the moment, the migraine meds are working, just making me sleepy.  If you're looking for my CHF post, please scroll down one.

This week's CAS-ual Friday CFC73 is for the girls - celebrate the women in your life.  Well, I chose to make a clean and simple card in memory of my mother and grandmother who both lost their battles with breast cancer, plus I've already had a suspicious lump removed years ago, and since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, how could I not go with a pink theme.

I started out by stamping the t-shirt from GinaK Designs Little Tees onto some scrap pink MAMBI Breast Cancer Awareness designer paper before cutting it out and stamping a solid pink ribbon from Paper Smooches Hope set in Stampin Up! regal rose dye ink directly onto the t-shirt.  After adhering my shirt over a border strip of scrap designer paper, I stamped the word HOPE from the Paper Smooches Hope set in regal rose ink before adding my saying just under it in memento black.  The only embellishment added was some soft pink twill ribbon tied into a knot.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.

Fabulous Fifties

I recently found a challenge blog focusing on clean and simple (CAS) cards called CAS-ual Fridays and haven't had a chance to participate in any of the challenges yet.  Well, today, I finally got a chance to with my version of a clean and simple card. This week's CAS-ual Friday challenge was to use bling on our cards so that's no problem for me at all.  The hard part was keeping the card fairly clean and fairly simple.
I started out by printing off some images onto white card stock I had on my computer from Pink Cat Studio called Retro 50's before coloring with prismacolor markers and lightly stippling SU pretty in pink around them.  Then once my layering was finished, I added silver brads, ribbon, and bling onto the glasses and then the dots for the "i's" in the saying before adding to my card.
This is fairly simple for me.  Usually I would add a few more things, like primas, more bling, and pop up an image or two, but I didn't here.  Here's a close up of the glasses.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.
