Psycho Shoppers

Hello and welcome.  Today is day 5 of Bugaboo's annual Holiday Chaos event over at Catch The Bug.  My project today uses one of Bugaboo's famous Stella images is unfortunately so true.  It's called Stella- Christmas Psycho.  This is perfect for the Christmas rush; especially this year.  Every time I used it, I have the saying in my head to "Deck The Halls".  You're welcome. :)

After combining, and printing, the image off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using my Castle Art colored pencils.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some Tm Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks before layering and adding brushed gold brads.  I then doodled some faux sewing "stitches" around the image, added dimensionals then popped it up on a red card with a blue border.  After adding some gold cord on the side, I added some dew drops and a Making Memories poinsettia I've had for ages.  The only other embellishments added was two Sakura 3D embossing pens and ice stickles highlighting parts of the image and poinsettia center.

Kidz Reindeer

Hello and welcome.   Today is day four of this year's Holiday Chaos event over at Catch The Bug and it's also a new release and a Bingo challenge too.  Today Bugaboo is releasing Kidz Reindeer as a flash freebie and it can be found here on the challenge blog until 7pm today only.  For my project, I went with Ribbon/Bows, Bugaboo image, sentiment.

After printing my image off onto Neenah white card stock and coloring using Castle Art pencils, with a blender pencil, I stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around it before layering and adding brads.  I then dry embossed a wild wasabi card, and a poppy red scrap border, using a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and my big shot.  Once the card base was assembled, I sponged Tim Holtz forest moss distress ink around the edges to highlight the embossed snowflakes.  I then added the layered image panel over the dry embossed border using dimensionals.  For my saying, I dusted off a retired Stampin Up set, Warm Words, stamped the saying in memento black before punching it out using a retired Stampin Up large oval punch.  Taking my stipple brush, I then stippled the left over tumbled glass ink around the edges of my punched saying before adding it to the card.  After adding a white/silver organdy ribbon knot, I finished the card off by highlighting the image using crystal and waterfall ice stickles.

Cinnamin Roll Presents

Hello and welcome.  Today is day 3 of Bugaboo's annual Holiday Chaos week of challenges over at Catch The Bug blog.  Today is the Anything But A Card day.  For my project, I've chosen to make a Christmas stocking stuffer, or it can be used as a hostess gift too.  Safely...of course!

I started out by printing the never before used Gingerbread Ornaments image onto Hammermill white card stock then colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  For the white parts of the candy canes and parts of the gingerbread men and woman, I used a Souffle white pen and a white gel pen for the gingerbread teeth.  Once the marker coloring was finished, I added some real red chalk then layered the image and added brads.  I then took a cinnamen roll candle I had purchased in Michael's dollar spot a few years ago and added it to a clear cellophane bag.  After adding my bag topper, I secured it in place with staples.  The final touch was adding some silver snowflake stickers I've had for years.

What Do You Mean...

Hello and welcome.  Today is the first day of Bugaboo's annual Holiday Chaos over at Catch The Bug.  Today's theme is Reindeer Games.  For my project, I've used Bugaboo's Puppy - Enough Reindeer.  I've had this image for awhile and love it.  Seriously, how could you tell this little guy Santa has enough reindeer.

I started out by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock then coloring it using Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil before layering and adding brads.  I then took a Cuttlebug ornament embossing folder and ran it with red card stock through my big shot before adhering it to a garden green card using glue dots.  Taking the layered panel, I then adhered that also using glue dots before adding a small green bow.  The final touches were gold, waterfall and diamond ice stickles to highlight the image.

Reindeer Farting

Second post from me today.  If looking for my Wiseman card, please scroll down one.

Now with the way 2020 has gone so far, I wouldn't be surprised.  Hello again and welcome.  I'm still dealing with this blasted migraine, but meds are helping to take the edge off enough for me to type.  It took me two days to make this card and it's not that difficult.  I just love this little guy from the Dustin Pike collection at Whimsy Stamps and had to have him as soon as I saw him.  The image is called, appropriately, Reindeer Farts (digital stamp).  My dad would have loved receiving this card.  I miss him so much.  So this has been made in memory of him.

I started out by printing the, new to me, image onto Neenah white card stock and colored using Castle Art pencils with a blender pencil.  Once that was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks around the edges before layering and adding brads.  For the card, I adhered some Paper Pizazz snowflake designer paper I've had over a decade and never used, then added a dry embossed border using a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and my big shot.  After adding some glittered ribbon, I popped up the layered image after adding a snowflake charm.  After a few sequins and ice stickles, my card was finished.

Come, Let Us Adore Him

Come, let us adore Him.  It's an invitation that should not be refused.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a quick and easy Christmas card made using Impression Obsession's retired set Wiseman Collage C4607 and some non-traditional Christmas colors.  I started out by recycling some glossy photo paper by cutting down to size, then using a brayer to cover it with Kalidacolor Blue Breeze dye ink, before stamping the collage in memento tuxedo black once the brayered ink dried.  After layering the stamped image, I added some small silver brads along with a small silver pre-made bow.  Simple and easy...right?  Definitely needed since I've been dealing with a lingering migraine for the last couple of weeks.

Cup Of Christmas Cocoa

Hello and welcome.  Today is another new release from Bugaboo and this one is called Christmas Mouse - Cocoa. (NOTE: Due to ongoing computer issues, the freebie/new release pages are not updating.  Jodie is working on getting the issue solved).

After printing my image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils with a blender pencil before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around it then layering and adding brads.  My card is made using non-traditional Christmas colors, however, I think of hot cocoa every time I use them. I dusted off an old Making Memories Cosmopolitan designer paper pack I've had for years and had tried selling when we had to move.  Fortunately, it didn't sell and I could match it with my little mouse along with sponging chocolate chip ink around the sides.  Once the card was made, I added a ruffled ribbon I've had for years from a retired Stampin Up embellishment pack.  I then popped up my layered mouse, added some PTI Vintage buttons, Picket Fence Gin and Tonic sequins, and diamond ice stickles to highlight the cocoa in the cup.  As an afterthought, I pulled out a black artist pen and doodled some faux sewing around the image.  The final touch was a 3D glaze pen highlighting the mouse's eyes and the word cocoa.

Mailing Packages

Hello and welcome.  It's time for another weekly challenge over at Catch The Bug and today I have a card made using this week's freebie Crabby Cathy Mail Packages.  I have the same image using Stella, but not Crabby Cathy.  Gotta love them both!!  Now Jodie, at Bugaboo, is having some computer issues still, so the freebie may not appear on the freebie download page.  Jodie is working on getting the issues resolved as soon as possible.  If you don't want to wait for that, you can purchase the image here.

I started out by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock before coloring using my Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges before layering and adding brads.  I then took some scrap card stock and dry embossed it using my Big Shot and a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.  Once those were layered and added to the card, I dusted off a Making Memories poinsettia flower, added that using glue dots before adding a red bling center.  I then popped up the layered image using pop dots and then added a clear bling flourish.

It's A Penguin Parade!!

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards made using the retired Merry Penguin set from Impression Obsession.

Onefer

This card has a lot of dimension on it. With the exception of the card base, everything was made from scraps/snippets.  I started out by stamping the plaid penguin twice on to scrap white card stock before coloring using prismacolor markers before cutting them out using the matching dies (also retired) then setting them aside. For the card I folded a bliss blue card stock to make a slimline card, then cut down the matching layers.  Before adding another layer of bliss blue, I dry embossed it using a A2  Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder running it three times through my big shot.  Talk about having to be careful about lining the embossing folder just so on the card stock.  Whew!!  I then lightly sponged Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink over the embossed images before popping it up on the card using dimensionals.  Taking more scrap white card stock, I stamped and colored the accessories for my penguins before cutting them out also using the matching dies; then setting aide.  For the greeting on the front of the card, I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink directly onto a bliss blue scrap, trimmed it down, then layered before running my fingernail along the sides before adhering it to the card also using dimensionals.  Now it was time to assemble my penguins.  The only other embellishment added was a gold enamel heart and diamond ice stickles dots over various places on the embossed snowflakes.

For the second card, I used the extra card stock, and the same stamp set, I had pulled out for the first one, so it's pretty much the same color scheme.  After folding my card base from ballet blue card stock, I trimmed down a bliss blue layer and again ran it through the big shot three times using the same A2 Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder before sponging tumbled glass distress ink over the embossed images.  This layer was also popped up using dimensionals.  I then took more scrap white card stock, stamped my images in memento tuxedo black, before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once all the coloring was finished, I die cut the images out using the matching dies. This time I assembled the remaining card pieces using glue dots.  The only embellishment used this time was diamond ice stickles in the centers of some of the embossed snowflakes.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a simple card made using a new set called Fred Said (WP915) from Impression Obsession.

I started out by stamping the shoes in memento black onto Neenah white card stock then coloring using my Castle Art pencils with a blender pencil.  I then stamped the saying in memento black before stippling Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink around the edges then layered and added brads.  For the card, I took a piece of Stampin Up bordering blue card stock along with a scrap of Authentique designer paper before stippling faded jeans around the card base.  After adding the layered image using dimensionals, I then added some faux sewing around the edges.
