Kitty By The Window

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I finally assembled using some of the new Fall and Halloween image sets from Conjurer of Dreams.  Since I'm a "crazy cat lady", I just had to use the  Cat at the Window as my main image.  I combined that with the following in Photoshop© before printing out to assemble: Fall SilkPhoto Corners and Gothic Floral Background for my base.  After adding some purple brads from my stash, I adhered the cat image panel to some scrap orchid card stock then popped it up over the gothic floral card base using pop up glue dots.  The only embellishments added was a mauve organdy ribbon and some black gems.  I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Missing Parts

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I finally assembled using the Conjurer of Dreams Grumpy Cat pre-colored digital image.  I added the saying using Photoshop© before printing out onto Neenah white card stock before running a dark brown copic marker along the edges.  Once that was finished, I layered it and added copper brads and copper cord along the edges.  I'm happy with how this turned out since I'm still dealing with this migraine that won't go away.  It's been a month now fighting this thing and I'm getting really tired of being in pain.  It's gotten to the point of push through it or cry.

Singing The Song Of Our Peoples

Hello and welcome.  Anyone who's ever been "owned" by a cat totally understands the middle of the night Opera "shows".  Possibly the furry "overlord" is expecting breakfast at 3am (or in my house it's 5am opera feed me alarm shows).  Perhaps your morning alarm isn't a clock but getting the "feed me" smack in the face?  I have and my toes have been bitten as an alarm.  Either way, cats have their own special way of reminding human servants who rules, and runs, the house.  With all of this in mind, my card for today's Cat Lovers Hop pays homage to our clever, sneaky but talented, furry members of our families.

I originally bought these stamps from the Rubbernecker Stamps booth from one of the stamp conventions held in San Jose, California (don't remember the name) at least 10-12 years ago and never used.  Boy did I get a steal from the Rubbernecker booth - several individual stamps and 3 grab bags all for a steal of a price.  My grab bags didn't have any duplicates either - now how often does that happen.  However, I digress.  I've checked the Rubbernecker site and don't see them for sale anymore.

I started out by stamping the background in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock before stamping the remaining images (there are 5 total here) onto scrap white card stock before coloring using prismacolor pencils.  I then trimmed down the colored images before adhering them to my background using some Bearly Arts glue I received for my birthday then layered the panel.  I then stippled Tim Holtz chipped sapphire, walnut stain, and mowed lawn distress inks using blending brushes from Picket Fence Studios. After adding some white brads, I adhered the finished image panel to a navy card using glue dots.  The only other embellishments added were, crystal ice stickles around the moon and a clear glitter gel pen to create night stars in the sky and highlight the trash can lid.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to hop along (link is above).  I once again leave you with greetings of two more of my cats.

Puff aka THE Princess (and she knows it too LOL) (age 10)

Miss Lily - our loving but very timid lady (Puff's sister age 10)

Our dear, sweet Mama - she was a kitten who had kittens in our woodpile outside eating moldy lunches our son would hide from us back then.  As soon as we saw her and her kittens, they were upgraded to the guest bathroom with good foods, water and a warm/cool play to live.  She really was mama to Spot (day 2 hop), Bubba (day 1) Lily (day 3) and Princess Puff (day 3).  We kept her and her whole surviving litter.  The worst thing she did in life was ever so lightly tap on our foot/lower leg when she wanted pets.  She passed away Sept 2021 from kidney failure and seizures. The picture was taken the night before she passed.  She is so missed.

Kitty And The Birdhouse

Hello and welcome.  Today is Day 2 of the Cat Lovers Hop, so I'd like to share a clean and simple card made using one of Bugaboo's (now closed) images called Garden Cat - Birdhouse.

After printing my image off onto white card stock, I colored it using prismacolor/copic markers then highlighted the image using Castle Art pencils before stippling Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around it.  Once the colored image was layered, I added some black brads before adhering it to a scrap piece of white card stock then stippled more broken china around the card base.  The only other embellishments added were a small blue gingham bow from my stash and crystal ice stickles to highlight the hearts and flowers.

I Was Framed!

This sounds so much like something one my own cats would say; especially my fur-grandson Inego.  LOL  Hello and welcome.  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Instant Witch post, please scroll down one. I made this card using the new Crabby Cat I Was Framed image from Bugaboo Stamps.

After printing it off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering on scrap card stock and adding brads.  I then added it to a long piece of scrap card stock before cutting that down.  Other than the brads, the only embellishments used is a small ribbon bow from Michael's I've had for some time and then using Sakura 3D glaze pens to highlight parts of the image.  I'm real happy with how this turned out since I made it at 3am with a raging migraine (still have it too).

Kiss My Furry Orange......

.....@%#!  Hello and welcome. Today is new release Tuesday at Catch The Bug for Bugaboo Stamps and we have a snarky little kitty for you today called Crabby Cat.  I LOVE this image!!!!!  Snarky and to the point. Perfect for the way 2020 has gone.

After printing the image off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I did go and highlight parts of the image using prismacolor pencils with a blender pencil before layering and adding some small black brads.  I then pulled out some scrap orange/black card stock, ran it through my big shot with a Tim Holtz cracked embossing folder, before lightly stippling spiced marmalade on the embossed border and then lightly around the image panel before adding it to an orange card with scrap Basic Grey designer paper.  I then stippled the spiced marmalade ink around the edges of the card before adding some black ribbon I received as a RAK before color spritzing some basic grey marker over the card and image panel.  The final embellishments were a prima flower with bling center and Sakura 3D glaze pens to highlight the saying and some added details to the kitty itself.

Hello and welcome.  Today is new release Tuesday over at the Bugaboo stamps blog Catch The Bug.  Today we are sharing with you I think you're purrr-fect and is available here.  I absolutely love this cute little kitty.  I mean who wouldn't love those eyes?

After printing the image, and saying, onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before inking the edges in memento tuxedo black and layering.  For my card base, I added to a white card some scrap designer paper I've had for years (don't even remember who made it) before edging the card in memento black.  I then popped up the layered image, added some faux brads and then a grey/black ribbon from my stash.  The final touches were a punched flower with a gold ice stickle center as well as gold ice stickles on the the crown.

My Little Lady

Had to take Squeaky to the vet this morning.....She had told us it was time. The house is going to be really different not having her around. She had a great life with us for 22yrs. She had been feral for 2yrs before we adopted her from the local high kill shelter. She was my nightly cuddle buddy, and in the winter/early spring, she would sleep under the covers with me snuggled up to my chest. We are all really going to miss her.

Fly free Squeaky. Please give Tigger, Midnight, Pyro, Bella & Sampson head bumps from all of us. We'll see you again. Love you so much my Little Lady.

Quarantine Kitty and More NBUS (never before used schtuff)

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using one of Unity Stamps new digital images called Quarantine Dream.  I'm loving Unity's digital images since they're already pre-sized for an A4 card and set to print 4 card fronts per 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock.  I'll admit, I'm lazy when it comes to resizing digital images and these fit me perfectly - especially this set since I'm the "crazy cat lady" of our cul-de-sac.

After printing off the digital image (NBUS), I pulled out my dusty prismacolor and lyra pencils to color the image.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it and added some purple brads.  For my card, I pulled out a dusty Stampin Up paw print wheel to create my card base.  After adding the layered image panel using glue dots, I added some faux stitching using a 3D glaze pen and then highlighted parts of the colored image using the same 3D glaze pen set.  Once that was dry, I color spritzed a lilac marker over the card before sponging matching lilac ink around the edges of the card base.  My final embellishment was a chipboard paw print I've had for years and never used.  Viola!!  Finished.  I plan on sending this to a friend who fosters pregnant cats & their kittens for a no kill shelter.

My Grouchy Girl

Hello and welcome.  The last few days have been really hard for me and my family.  Last Thursday the 2nd, we lost one of our 18 year old house panthers, Midnight, to kidney failure.  She was definitely a special kitty.  Besides being a cuddle bug, she always "talked back" to everyone.  She really had "cattitude"; hence the nickname grouchy girl.  The house has been too quiet since Thursday.

Run free Midnight over the rainbow bridge.  I'll see you again someday.

My Sweet Boy

It's just been almost 5 weeks since we lost our sweet boy Pyro to feline lower urinary tract disease (LUTD).  As his vet said, it's a nasty disease.  It's still hard to talk about him right now.  I miss him so much.  He was my precious lap kitty and my lap feels so empty right now.

It's A Pumpkin Spice Kitty!!!

Helloooooo!!!!  I don't know how many times I've used this adorable Pumpkin Spice Kitty stamp from Impression Obsession stamps.  It is quickly becoming one of my most favorite stamps to use.

After stamping the image in memento black onto white card stock, I then colored it using prismacolor and copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I then layered it onto scrap Stampin Up card stock before adding some mini pumpkin brads and popping it up over a dry embossed pumpkin border.  I then stamped the saying from the Mini Peekers set in memento black and also layering onto scrap card stock with the mini pumpkin brads.  Artichoke ink was then sponged around the edges of the card before adding a scrap piece of pumpkin ribbon with a leaf hat pin through the knot.  As an afterthought, I pulled out an embossing glaze pen and highlighted the saying, kitty whiskers, and parts of the cup.

Kitty In Flowers

Hello and welcome.  My mojo seems to have returned after taking a unauthorized vacation.  I'm sharing a card I made using the Cat In Flowers digital stamp from Aurora Wings

I printed the image at 3.5x5 inches since I'm still dealing with migraines to make it easier to color for me using prismacolor pencils with a blender pencil.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled some broken china distress ink around the edges before layering and adding gold brads.  I then pulled a scrap of turquoise card stock for a border behind the layered image.  Once the card was assembled, I added some gold cord and ice stickles to help highlight the flowers.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Bearing Gifts 2018 and Some More Never Before/Rarely Used Stuff (NBUS/RBUS)

Hello and welcome!!!  As we finish the final countdown until Christmas, I'm rushing to finish Christmas cards I'm sending out.  (Note to self: start making them in January - again.  **sigh**)

Today I'd like to share a card made using one of my all time favorite stamps period.  It's an old retired one from Stampendous (2004) called Wise Siamese.  After stamping the image in memento black ink then coloring with copic markers, I sponged some Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink and Stampin Up sahara sand around the edges before layering.  I then took a scrap of Stampin Up not quite navy card stock to use as a border and embossed it using my big shot and a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder before sponging navy ink over the embossing to help highlight the border.  I then popped up the layered panel over my embossed border on a card made using some rarely used (RBUS) Stampin Up sahara sand and some new (NBUS) Recollections designer paper my daughter bought me.  The only embellishments I used were some rarely used (RBUS) Stampin Up not quite navy brads, ice stickles  Wise Siamese crowns/collars, and a small navy bow sticker.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Pammies Inky Pinkies 1850 - Anything Goes

Time Flies...

...especially when you're having way too much fun!  Like my little man and his sister Lily are here in mommy's stamp chair before their nap time.  It's so hard to believe that my fur babies are almost a year old come Memorial Day weekend.  They grow so fast.  Who put the fertilizer in the cat box?

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day.

Swinging Kitty - MMTPT171

Hello and happy Tuesday.  This week's Mothermark Teapot Tuesday challenge is to make a card with cats on it.  This week's we are sending our cards to a couple in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia who are battling some serious health problems.

For my card, I pulled out a Penny Black stamp that is just one of my favorites.  This little kitty is just having too much fun playing in the laundry hanging outside especially with all of the sparkle on the "unmentionables".  After stamping my image in memento tuxedo black, I pulled out my Koh-I-Noor pencils and blender marker to color everything before stippling Stampin Up! bashful blue ink around the image to fill in the sky and layering.   For my finishing touches, I added some Stampin Up! bling brads, Daisy D's ribbon and ice stickles.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.

What A Ham!!

Happy Wednesday!!!  I just had to post these pics of one of my cats Squeaky.  She is one of our rescue cats, adopted from the local shelter about 4years ago and will not get any bigger than a 9month old kitten because of being malnourished while she was a kitten before the shelter got ahold of her and nursed her back to health for adoption.

She was laying at the front door on Monday just enjoying the sun, and yes, she knew "Mommy" was taking pictures.  She is such a "ham" for the camera.

Look at this silly girl, just rolling all over the place.  She's just too cute for her own good, but our family loves her and all of her siblings.
