Hello Flowers

Hi all.  I couldn't sleep the other night since I was in so much pain from a migraine, so I decided to take a digital image I've had on my stamp desk and put it to good use as a second card for this week's For Your Inspiration #26 challenge and also for one on Splitcoast.  As a reminder, here's the inspiration picture from FYI.

The digital image I used is a freebie from Sliekjestamps and is so cute to color with prismacolor markers, especially when combined with My Time Made Easy's Amour digital paper. Then I stamped my saying using Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company You Light Up Your Life stamp set. Once my coloring was finished, I took some scrap olive card stock and die cut three borders using The Cat's Pajamas icing border die, then punched two sets of faux brads from scrap razzleberry card stock before gluing them on with a Martha Stewart 2-way glue pen.  Then, I lightly stippled bashful blue and wild wasabi inks around my main image before popping it up over the die cut border.  My final embellishments were ice stickles on the flowers and some Stampin Up! razzleberry satin ribbon.

A Soccer Teapot For Bobbie!

I'm on a stamping roll here, maybe not with the posting end of it, but stamping at least.  It feels good to stamp again, even with a freakin headache.  For this week's Teapot Challenge our inspiration teapot is sports related.  Can you believe with the hundreds of stamps I have, there are no sports related ones??  How did that happen??  So I had to hunt for a digital image to use for this week's challenge and found a cute one (ok Bobbie is going to have to deal with cute) at Sliekjestamps; and the best part of it is...all of her images are free!!!  I like free stuff.

So once I downloaded the image and colored it with prismacolor markers, I stippled some Stampin Up! bashful blue ink around the edges before layering.  Now after hunting for some sort of embellishments in my stash, I finally found some Jolee's soccer die cuts & stickers from Michael's last year and added the soccer balls/grass to the center divider strip.

For the inside of my card, I found a sheet of vellum sayings I had bought at Michael's last year on clearance, and cut out the saying I felt most appropriate for the challenge.  Once it was layered, more Jolee's stickers were added to the inside to spruce it up as well.  Here's a look at the inside.

MMTPT133 And Owls

Hello again.  Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything, however, I've had some more problems with my migraines and then on Monday evening I was in an auto accident.  Needless to say I'm hurting everywhere right now.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it. *wink*

I finally got a few minutes regardless of how I felt, or sore I am, to participate in this week's Mothermark Teapot Challenge.  I've had this really cute digital image from Sliekje Digi Stamps (they're free) and just had to color it up for the challenge. 

After printing it off, and coloring, I pulled out some Imaginisce designer paper and got to work.  After layering my owl, and stippling some Stampin Up! pretty in pink and retired soft sky inks around it, I pulled out a Stampin Up! chocolate chip marker to create a faux sewing border before popping it up on Michael's Recollections pop dots over some Texasjodylynn ribbon.  I then took some silk confetti bridal flowers and lightly sponged pretty in pink ink over them while sponging the edges of the card.  A Michael's bridal confetti silk butterfly with Making Memories white baby brads, and Stampendous Class-A-Peels in the center of  the owl's flowers were the perfect final touches.

This card came together fast and I'm so thankful for that too.  I was hurting quite badly after sitting at my stamp table for a few minutes and was able to go lay down after that for a bit.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope I've been able to provide some inspiration for you with this challenge.
