Today's featured set is just perfect for those hard to create guy cards, scrap booking camping memories or for the fish-a-holic in the family. For my project, I went with a clean and simple design due to my ongoing migraines and foot issues.

I started out by stamping my images from On The Fly and Scenic Selections in memento tuxedo black and then colored with prismacolor watercolor pencils and a blender marker. Since my card is designed for the guys, I decided not to add any additional embellishments and it also helps save on postage.

Today's featured set Poinsettia Blooms by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company has an old Victorian feel to it thanks to the lantern and makes gorgeous cards or altered items.

My card today uses a Spellbinders book die along with the lantern, die cut felt, punched pine branches and an elegant red/black color scheme. After I had stamped my images in memento black and colored with prismacolor markers then cut out, I took the die cut felt sticker border and layered across the black card stock before popping up the saying from Poinsettia Blooms. I then added my cut out lantern and poinsettia bunch via pop up glue dots and added the punched pine branches with small floral centers. The only other embellishment added was bling and yellow ice stickles.

I've always wanted to make a snow globe card and just didn't have the right stamps to make it work. Well the new Christmas Selections set by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company takes care of that small issue.

I started out by downloading, then printing out, my snow globe template onto white and caramel card stocks before cutting out the card. Then I stamped my images from Christmas Selections in memento tuxedo black onto the white card and also scraps of MFP snow storm for popping up later before coloring with koh-i-noor pencils and a blender marker then cutting out. Then I stamped the base in Adirondack caramel ink using the new Cracked Hello set before adding some of the cut out poinsettia and pine cone images. Finally, I popped up my remaining cut out images and added some ice stickles so it looked like the snow inside the globe was falling.

Nightime Boo!

Hello everyone and TGIF!! This week's Pause Dream Enjoy challenge is all about the night and since I needed to use up some scrap white card stock, I chose to go with a clean and simple design. Plus, my migraines were at it again. *sigh*

I started out by stamping my images from Mark's Finest Papers,a Heinrich Company Tree Greetings set in pallet burnt umber ink onto my scrap white card before over stamping more trees in the same ink from the Tree Selections mini. Then I stippled Tim Holtz forest moss and chipped sapphire distress inks over and around the tree images. Once I was satisfied with the stippling color coverage, I stamped the broom riding cat from the Broom Rides mini in memento tuxedo black high in the night sky. Finally, I stamped out my little ghost from I'm Going Batty, colored him with koh-i-noor pencils and a blender marker, cut him out and added him to my little scene before stamping a matching envelope.

Total Peace

Hello and welcome. Today I am sharing a card I've made for both the Splitcoast Hope You Can Cling To Peaceful Pink challenge and this month's Craft A Scene Mountain challenge.

I started out by stamping my main image from one of Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company newest stamp sets called On The Fly being released on October 24th, in memento black onto MFP snow storm card stock then colored with koh-i-noor pencils and a blender pen. Once my coloring was finished, I then stippled Tim Holtz broken china, forest moss and milled lavender inks over and around the image before layering and adding some baby brads. Then I added some random birds and fisherman on the lake in memento black and grass in forest moss.

For my card, I stamped MFP's Cracked Hello set in Tim Holtz tattered rose and scattered straw inks to create a rustic background before adding my colored image popped up on dimensionals. For the final touches, I then added a die cut sun stippled in wild honey ink popped up on dimensionals, and some Martha Stewart punched hydrangeas and butterfly trio with bling centers along with some pink/gold organdy ribbon from Michael's $1 bins.

Happy Birthday Puppy

Hello and welcome to Thursday. This week's Tuesday Throwdown and Anything Goes challenges are all about animals; especially cute and cuddly ones. I pulled out one of my favorite sets by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company called Fabulous Dogs and got to work with some Die Cuts With A View designer paper.

After stamping my image and saying onto MFP snow storm white, then coloring with prismacolor markers, I layered onto mahogany and chipboard card stocks before adding some paw/bone brads from Michael's. The only other embellishment added is some chocolate paw print ribbon tied into a knot.

This month's new release called Tweet That is just too much fun to work with, so today I have two projects to share with you.

My first project uses some Lilly Bean Picket Fence wood grain designer paper, dies, and Scenic Selections. After stamping my images in memento tuxedo black onto MFP snow storm white, I pulled out my prismacolor markers and got to coloring. Once the coloring was finished and my images cut out, I die cut a white picket fence, three layers of scalloped borders, and then a trio of clouds. Once I was done die cutting everything, I stamped the cracked background from Background Fun in Tim Holtz weathered wood distress ink onto my die cut fence to give it some added texture before adding it to the card. After finding some Jolee's die cut grass in my stash, and adding the scallop layers, I was ready to finish assembling my card. All of the remaining elements were popped up using various layers of pop dots before highlighting the birdbath water with waterfall ice stickles and some stamped birds from Scenic Selections.

My second project is a little more simple and utilizes some Cosmo Cricket Tea For Two designer paper along with some mini pink/purple roses, punched leaves, spellbinders, brads and a cuttlebug heart embossing folder.

After stamping my images in memento tuxedo black onto MFP snow storm white and coloring with prismacolor markers, I cut out the images before die cutting, and sponging, the tags my saying would be stamped on. I then ran some red card stock through the big shot using a cuttlebug heart square embossing folder before layering onto white card stock using some Making Memories heart brads. Once my saying was stamped onto the spellbinder tags, sponged and popped up, I added the mini roses with some punched Martha Stewart leaf branches before adding my final images.

I'm really happy with the way both cards turned out especially since I was dealing with another migraine this last week.

When it comes to Autumn stamp images, this new one by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company called Autumn Splendor is just fantastic! I love the pumpkins, owls, and all of the sayings associated with the set.

After stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto MFP snow storm white, I pulled out my prismacolor markers and started coloring making sure the images matched the glittered Debbie Mumm designer paper I chose. Once the coloring was finished, I cut out the images and popped up only the pumpkin/owl using dimensionals before popping up the matching saying. The only embellishment added was Ranger's Glossy Accents to the owl's eyes to highlight them just a bit.

Normally, I'm not a Halloween stamper, however, this month's release of Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company's set I'm Going Batty, has changed that. These images are so much fun to work with, and easy to color, even with a migraine.

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black onto snow storm white before coloring with prismacolor markers and cutting out before layering onto MFP black linen card stock, then limeade and pumpkin card stock as well. I then took two strips of grape card stock and using a Martha Stewart drip border punch to create two borders layered on top of each other. After adding some Making Memories moon brads and primas with orange ice stickle centers, my card was finished.

My second card uses just a strip of scrap card stock to create a smaller clean and simple note card. I stamped the ghost and saying images in memento tuxedo black before coloring with prismacolor markers; then cutting out. Once my coloring was finished, I stamped some trees, grass and fences from Scenic Selections and colored them using koh-i-noor pencils with a blender marker. Then I lightly stippled basic grey ink around the edges of the card and over the colored images before stamping the bats from the Broom Rides Mini stamp set and adding eyes using a white gel pen. Once all of my coloring was finished, I added the cut out ghost and layered saying.

My final project is a frame scene I created using the new I'm Going Batty, Vroom Mini, and Broom Rides Mini stamp sets. I did add a few punches, stickers and die cuts along the way too. lol

After stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto MFP snow storm white, coloring and cutting out, I layered some Die Cuts With A View fall paper inside the frame and adhered my cut out witch, broom, cat and then popped up the layered saying. Then I added some K&Company dimensional pumpkin stickers before punching out two cats and several bare trees. Once those were added, I die cut three clouds, stamped the bird trio from Scenic Selections on the clouds as "bats" then popped up the clouds using pop up glue dots. The final embellishment added were two cut out bats from Broom Rides Mini with gel pen eyes and then adding eyes to the two black cats using the same gel pen.

I have to say that I really love this set and so does my husband! lol This new set, Buried Treasure by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company, is just perfect for kid cards. Now according to my husband, it's also perfect for the "big kids too". I'm going to take that as a not to subtle hint to make sure I use the set for his next birthday card. ;)

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock, colored with prismacolor markers, and cut out before layering onto some Debbie Mumm designer paper. Then I lightly stippled Tim Holtz brushed corduroy distress ink over the card, designer paper and also the cut out images to "age" them all a bit. After "aging" everything, I popped up the sayings, parrot and then made my own pineapple using a Marvy pear punch, cocoa marker, and some shredded artichoke colored Michael's bridal confetti flowers.

Once the outside was finished, I started on the inside by adding the pirate ship, a strip of designer paper and another handmade pineapple. Here's a close up of the inside.

Holly Jolly Greetings

Hello and welcome. Today I am sharing with you a card I made for my friend Susan's, aka Rainy, monthly sketch challenge. The sketch challenges are posted on the 15th of every month and continue until the end of that particular month. For my card, I chose to use a soon to be released set next week by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company called Holly Jolly Greetings.

After stamping my Santa image in memento tuxedo black onto MFP snow storm white, I pulled out my prismacolor markers and got to coloring; making sure my Santa had a vintage look to him. Once that was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around Santa before layering onto MFP's evergreen and scrap Stampin Up! card stock. Then taking some leftover evergreen card stock, I stamped the holly branch in Tim Holtz pine needles to create my own matching designer paper. My final touches for the card were gold jingle bell brads, a holly branch, and the greeting stamped onto scrap designer paper from Michael's Recollections holiday collection.

Clean and Simple Stamping Using Scraps

Hello again. Today I am sharing a card and matching envelope I made using scrap white card stock and one of those standard, small $.89 cent box of envelopes we all have lying around.

I started out by taking a long piece of leftover white card stock after printing digital images, folded it in half, and stamped the large oak tree from Tree Greetings in Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink before coloring it in koh-i-noor pencils and a blender marker. Then I took the grass stamps from Scenic Selections and stamped it in Tim Holtz forest moss before stamping the birds and a saying in memento tuxedo black and stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass for the sky.

Now it was time for the envelope. I took one of the other tree stamps from the Tree Greetings, stamped in walnut stain, and colored with koh-i-noor pencils with a blender marker. Then I stippled lightly a bit of Tim Holtz forest moss distress ink into the bottom left corner. Easy, clean and simple stamping that can be done while feeling sick or with a migraine.
