Blossom Definition

Hello and welcome.  Today I have a card to share using Bugaboo's Blossom Word Block for the new Saturday challenge over at Catch The Bug.

After printing off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I pulled out my Castle Art pencils and got to work coloring before trimming down to size then layering.  Since I decided to keep the design pretty clean and simple, I only added black brads before adhering to my card.  I then stamped the thinking of you saying from a long retired Stampin Up set to finish it off.

Big Sister Princess

Hello and welcome.  Today we have another new release for Bugaboo Stamps called Bobblehead Big Eye Princess.  Since my card today is going to a friends grand-daughter that just became a big sister.  Her little brother was born premature, but is feisty enough to be discharged from the hospital the same time as his mom.

After printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before lightly stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges then layered.  The layered image panel was then added to a regal rose card with glittered tiara designer paper.   Please forgive me, but I don't remember who makes the designer paper as it was in my scrap pile.  I then sponged rose ink around the edges of the card before adding a pink ribbon, K&Company pillowed sticker (I've had for eons and never used), and highlighted the parts of colored image with diamond ice stickles.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream......

......for ice cream!!!  Hello and welcome.  Today is Freebie Friday over at Catch The Bug.  The freebie this week is this wonderful little ice cream cone with sprinkles and topped with a cherry.

After printing my image out onto white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering.  I then added some coral brads and added the panel to a multi-colored panel on a white card I received as a RAK (thank you Kelli).  I then stamped the wish saying in memento black directly onto the card before adding some velvet ribbon and prima flowers with a pearl center.  The final touch was highlighting parts of the ice cream cone using Sakura 3D glaze pens and a faux sewing border.

Stella And Mood Swings

Hello and welcome.  Today is Anything But a Card Monday at Catch The Bug so I have another framed piece to share using a new Bugaboo image for me called Stella Tidbits - Caution and a dollar store frame.

After printing it out as a 3.5x5 inch image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before lightly stippling some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and milled lavender distress inks around it.  I then took the frame apart and traced the frame part lightly onto the image panel so I would know where my borders would be.  Taking several pieces of scrap Stampin Up card stock, my leafy vine sizzix die and my big shot, I began making several vines to drape from above the image and from the frame itself.  I then took a Martha Stewart three hydrangea punch and made several two-toned flowers.  Once I began assembling the frame, I place the glass part behind my image for added support, which would give me more room for the vines.  The vines and flowers then were assembled using micro glue dots and Ranger Glossy Accents.   I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  I'm going to hang it in my house instead of giving it away. ;)

Stella's At The Beach

Hello and welcome.  I'm still guest designing for Bugaboo Stamps and this week's challenge over at Catch The Bug is a photo challenge.  That's right.  We're going to the beach!  For my project, I decided to use Stella Outdoorsy.

After combining the image and saying in Microsoft Word, I printed it off and colored using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks over and around the edges before adding some Adirondack caramel ink before layering and adding to my card.  For the card, I just went with a textured caramel base with  some light blue bakers twine around it.  I then highlighted parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens before adding some hand drawn birds and brads.  The final touches were a punched crab from red scrap card stock and a never before used (NBUS) shell charm I've had how for years.  The charm was adhered using Ranger Glossy Accents.  As an afterthought, I added another punched crab to the inside as well as a punch sand dollar also from scraps.

A Garden Of Friendship

Hello and welcome. I'm guest designing over on the Catch The Bug blog for this week's Saturday Anything Goes theme challenge for Bugaboo Digital Stamps.  My project today is a fairly clean and simple (CAS) card using the Make It Snappy - Friend Garden image.

After printing off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering.  As an afterthought, I added some light blue and banana chalks to the image before adding the layered panel to a plain red card.    It was at this point I discovered I had run out of black brads so I made some using a small hole punch and a Martha Stewart glue pen.  Necessity is the mother of inventions right?  My only other embellishments were a black/gold organdy ribbon, a gold rose charm and a Jolee's ladybug sticker.  All of these I had bought eons ago it seems and never used them.

I'd like to also enter this into the following challenges:

Pammies Inky Pinkies #2026 - Clean And Simple
Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS) - July

Colour Crazy Craft Week 26 - Anything Goes

It's Fried Chicken Time!

Hello and welcome!  I'm thrilled, and honored, to be a guest designer for Bugaboo Digital Stamps over on their challenge blog Catch The Bug for the month of July.  My project today uses the Friday Freebie from Bugaboo called Fried Chicken. It's a perfect summer image that I absolutely love.

After printing off my image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china inks over and around it then layering.  For the card, I used some Die Cuts With A View Sweet Shop mat stack paper I had forgotten about, and never before used, from my stash.  The pattern reminds me of the popsicles my mom had in the freezer when I was little.  I then added some never before used turquoise ribbon, buttons and enamel dots before adding a clear circle sticker over the sun.  The final touch was some highlighting of my image using Sakura 3D glaze pens.

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Colour Crazy Craft Week 26 - Anything Goes

Growing Old

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made for my husband's birthday using the Gus Birthday Optional digital stamp from Bugaboo Digital Stamps.

Once I had the image printed off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering onto scraps and adding to a stamped card base (also a long scrap).  Since I didn't have any matching brads, I made my own by punching a scrap piece of bermuda bay card stock then did my own "stitching", or faux sewing, around the image.  For the saying, I printed that also onto Neenah white, cut the saying in half (one half outside, one half inside), again layered onto scraps before adding my faux "brads" and faux sewing.

Here's the inside:

Shortened Happy Meal

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I've made using the Crabby Cathy Fries digital image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I absolutely love Bugaboo's snarky images, however, I haven't had a chance to use this image/saying until now.

I started out by printing the image off onto Neenah white card stock then coloring using copic markers.  Since I'm still dealing with this migraine, I decided to keep the card clean and simple with the only embellishments planned being yellow brads and a red glitter gel pen for the heart in the saying.  However, I ended up smudging the heart a bit and added a small punched flower to cover up the oops.

Out Of This World Thanks

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made to say thank you to another healthcare worker on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After printing off the Monster 4 Block from Bugaboo Digital Stamps, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering.  I then stamped the card background using a retired Stampin Up set before adding a dry embossed scrap strip.  I then added the layered image using dimensionals before adding some SU enamel dots then highlighting parts of the image using 3D glaze pens.  The only other embellishments added were ice stickles for parts of the antenna and planet rings, googlie eyes, and buttons.
