Trees and Jello

Hello and welcome.  Today I have another card to share made for this month's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.  While looking for the saying I used in yesterday's project, I came across this wood block stamp from Whipper Snapper that I totally forgot I had.  I must have bought it either online, or at a stamp convention, 20 years ago.  

 I started out by stamping the saying in memento tuxedo black ink onto a top note die cut I received from a secret sister a while back before stippling Tim Holtz spiced marmalade and tumbled glass distress inks around it.  My card is stamped in using a retired Stampin Up Fresh Fillers wood block set (I haven't used in years) in tangerine tango ink before adhering my die cut saying panel.  Once that was finished, I pulled out some dusty prima flowers and adhered them to the card before pulling out my Martha Stewart fern punch and punching scrap green card stock with Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink stippled over them.  I then adhered the "ferns" to my card and added some bling to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out since I was making it with another migraine.

 Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share another Christmas card made for a few challenges.  Since I've already finished my cards for this year, I'm starting on next years.  For my card, I've pulled out one of my favorite stamps.  I love ©Peanuts, and just have to have at least one each made year.

I started out by stamping the main image on a Hammermill white card stock scrap before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers then layered it.  After adding some red button brads, I added it to a red card stamped using a retired Stampin Up holly jumbo wheel.  The saying was stamped on another scrap, layered, brads added before highlighting the saying using a black gel pen.  After adhering it using pop up glue dots, I added some ice stickles to the tree ornaments for some sparkle.

Carnation Sprite

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made for this month's Splitcoaststampers Fan Club challenge as well as a few other challenges.  To learn how you can participate in the monthly Fan Club challenges, plus special Fan Club events, check out the info here.  My card today is using the Carnation Sprite image from Stamps by Aurora Wings. 

 

I've had this image printed off for a while, and have just not done anything with it, until now.  It's colored using Copic markers with some pink passion ink that was leftover on my Picket Fence Studios blending brush from another project stippled around the image before layering and adding brads.  The card background uses a Unity Stamps retired digital background they had at the start of the pandemic.  The final touches were a black ribbon, some black faux stitching around the layered image panel and a white gel pen highlighting my Sprites eyes.

Rockin' 'Round The Christmas Tree

 Hello and welcome.  I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge.  This month we're being inspired by the Christmas movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas.  I took my inspiration from all of the Christmas trees the Grinch stole and brought back to Whoville and figured my new Rockin' Christmas Tree set from Whimsy Stamps would be perfect.  Now the Fan Club challenges are for members only and you can check out all of the Fan Club benefits here.  

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto some scrap Neenah white card stock before coloring using Castle Arts pencils.  I then stamped and colored the presents before fussy cutting them out and adding using dimensionals.  I then stippled some shaded spruce ink around the edges using my blending brushes from Picket Fence Studio.  I then layered it before adding green brads and adhered the layered images using glue dots.  The final embellishments were green twine I received as a RAK, Sakura 3D Glaze Pens and ice stickles.

Even Santa Has To Make A Pit Stop

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using Twas The Night K1026, or K1026-DG for the digital version from Impression Obsession.  I've had this stamp for almost a year now and have never inked it up until now (NBUS). Since I've never used it until now, it will qualify for the Never Before Used Stuff challenge.

After stamping my image in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before adding white chalk for the moon.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I stippled Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering and adding silver jingle bell brads.  I then took a Sakura 3D glaze pen, highlighted the sleigh, icicles, part of the outhouse, and down by the saying before adding diamond ice stickles as my final embellishment.  I'm really happy how this turned out since it's take me a long time to color it thanks to my health issues.

Mushroom Lane Christmas

This week's Cornish Heritage Farms challenge is all about winter.  So I decided to print out one of my favorite Mushroom Lane digital stamps Christmas at #19 Mushroom Lane. 

Once I had it printed out, I colored the entire image using regular Rose Art colored pencils before stamping snowflakes from the retired CHF Joyeux Noel stamp set in Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink and then stippling the same ink around the edges to soften them.  My final embellishment was highlighting the snowflakes in waterfall ice stickles and the snow in diamond ice stickles.

Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy

Hello all.  Happy New Year!!  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my musical challenge card, please scroll down one post.

I love the Nutcracker Suite music and have been to the ballet only once as part of a field trip in high school.  For this month's Splitcoaststampers Fan Club December more is more challenge, I decided to use the Sugar Plum Fairy music as my inspiration.

I started out by stamping My Favorite Things Ballet Recital Jolinne three times on MFT's white Perfect Panels in memento tuxedo black ink and colored them with prismacolor markers.  Once that was done, I cut out one complete set of images for popping up on one of the cards.

For the first card, after layering my main image panel, I stippled Stampin Up! pretty in pink dye ink around the images before popping up my cut out ballerina's.  After adding a strip of the Doily Border Die-Namic in almost amethyst.  For the final touches, a Prima rose, MFT baby braddies and mini pearl stickers were added to the ballerina's.

For the second "dressed down" card, I didn't pop up the images on the main panel and only used a strip of the Basic Gray Figgy designer paper.  To make the designer paper strip stand out a bit, I used the Allegro cuttlebug embossing folder on the card itself and then stippled Stampin Up! going grey ink over the embossed music notes while still stippling the pretty in pink ink around the ballerina's.  For the final touch, I added MFT pink baby braddies and two felt sticker flowers with a pearl center.
