PIP Challenge 2614

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I would like to thank Pattie for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Pattie's Star Shaped Coastal Wreath colored using my Ohuhu markers. Once my coloring was finished, I layered it before adhering to a green card base.  For embellishments, I added some holly bling, red/green gems and a small bow from my stash.  As a final touch, I highlighted the berries/lighthouse/orange/seashell using a clear 3D glaze pen.  The final touch was stamping the Merry Christmas greeting underneath.  I'm very happy with how this turned out.

No Reason's Needed

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a Whimsy Stamps set I received from a friend, @mrsfoxdelights, last year and just hadn't ink'd up yet.  It's a Dustin Pike set called Dragon New Year.   Now I love Dustin Pike images and this set is just perfectly cute with just enough snark to make you laugh.

I started out by stamping the images in memento tuxedo black ink on to a ©Copic white panel before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around it before layering and adhering it to my card base with scrap Conjurer of Dreams Dragon Scales background paper.  For embellishments, I added some green illusion bling before highlighting parts of the image using a 3D glaze pen.  A small green bow was the final touch.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Hello Autumn, Just No Pecking

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I've had colored for a few days just hadn't gotten to assembling them yet due to pain and migraines.

First up is card made using some old designer paper along with a Pattie's Creations digital image called Autumn Gnomes I had won last month.  If you don't already know me well, I LOVE GNOMES!!!!  Just about anything gnomes.  I have gnomes that I decorate the house with for each "season" and gnomes outside in my garden.  I've also got several gnome stamp sets (wood/clear/and digital) that I use.  I started out by printing these little guys on to Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.   Once the coloring was finished, I lightly blended leftover Tim Holtz stormy sky and mowed lawn distress inks around the colored image before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then adhered my gnome panel to a ruby red card with scrap designer paper I had acquired last year.  After adding a couple of #dollartree wood elements, bling and faux stitches, my card was finished.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Next up is a sarcastic coffee card made using one of Unity Stamps new sets called Don't Cluck With My Coffee along with a retired Picket Fence Studios Down To The Last Drop 3x3 background stamp.   Normally, I'm a tea drinker (hot or iced) but have had Starbucks latte's from time to time.  Besides this chicken spoke to me so she came home. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it - LOL)  After stamping her on to Copic white card stock, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers before layering and adding some faux brads.  Taking my card base, I stamped it using my Picket Fence Studios background in orchid opulence ink before adding my layered image.  The final touches were some small white sequins and highlights using a couple of 3D glaze/souffle pens.

Cactus Christmas Warmth

Hello and welcome.  2nd post from me today.  If you're looking for my window kitty card, please scroll down one post.

I decided to participate in this year's Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers linky hop, so I'd like to share with you a Christmas card I made using the Christmas Cactus Trio image from Pattie's Creations.  I added the sentiment myself using Photoshop© before printing it onto Neenah white card stock then colored using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled left over tumbled glass (from another project) distress ink around the image/saying to "soften" the white then layered and added faux brads.  Once all of that was done, I colored the white "fur" on the santa hats using a white gel pen before adding some bling, googlie eyes and diamond ice stickles to finish my card off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Merry Christmas Snowman

Hello and welcome.  Today is part of World Cardmaking Day which reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart, not your bank account, so try making a handmade card and give it to someone you care about.  For me, World Cardmaking Day is the kickoff for making my Thanksgiving, and sometimes, the Christmas cards I send out every year.  My card today features this cute Happy Snowman and his bluebird friend from Gerda Steiner Designs.

After stamping him in memento tuxedo black ink onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored him using my Ohuhu markers.  I then stamped the bird twice, colored and punched one out to pop up before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink using a blending brush before layering.  I then added the layered panel to a ballet blue card with scrap designer paper that reminded me of snowflakes.  To my card, I added some holly bling stickers in the corners instead of brads.  I then added some more bling and a white/gold organdy ribbon along the side to finish it off.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I would like to thank Pattie for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Pattie's image Kitty On Books and is colored using Ohuhu markers.

Once the coloring was complete, I lightly stippled tumbled glass distress ink around the main image before layering and adding some red brads.  For my card, I dry embossed a red card using my Cuttlebug paisley embossing folder and Big Shot before lightly stippling some fired brick distress ink over the embossed images.  After adding my layered image panel, I stamped the saying from a long retired Close To My Heart set, layered and also added brads.  As an afterthought, I distressed the edges of the saying layers before popping it up using some pop dots.  I then went back and ran my fingernail along the edges of the main image layers to distress those.  The final touches were some red organdy ribbon from my stash and bling.

Be A Mermaid

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an ATC I made using the mermaid freebie over on the Conjurer of Dreams blog for the May free image challenge.  I did all of my layering digitally, little by little, so when I printed it out, I was able to add to card stock for the layer.  The COD sets, besides the freebie, I used are: Coral Clip Art, Mermaid Scales, Ocean Creatures Clip Art, Blue Silk, and Black Silk.  I'm really pretty happy with this since I created it while still dealing with this migraine.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I would like to thank Pattie for her sponsorship of our challenge.  My card today uses her Jar of Fireflies which is possibly retired.  I love using this image for get well and thinking of you cards.  I colored the fireflies using Ohuhu Honolulu markers and Ohuhu Glitter markers which I'm falling in love with.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering and adding faux brads.  I kept my card pretty clean and simple since I've been dealing with a bad migraine, plus a husband sick from bronchitis.  Unfortunately, I think I'm now getting it.

 Our Sponsor is

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Patties Creations.
I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing images for the design team to use.  Since this is the 5th Monday of the month, we are having a theme challenge and we're wanting to see
flowers.  For my design team card this week, I'm using Pattie's Dogwood Floral Moon image.

I started out by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock before pulling out my Castle Arts watercolor pencils to color the image.  Once my coloring was finished, I stamped the saying from a retired Close To My Heart set called Follow Your Dreams, before lightly blending Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink using my blending brushes before layering the image and adding some white brads.  My card base is dry embossed using a Cuttlebug© stylized flowers embossing folder and my Big Shot©.  A small pink bow and ice stickles finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.
