A Frightfully Good Halloween

 

Hello and welcome.  Second post today so if you're looking for my puppies birthday card, please scroll down one.  Thank you.

 

I'd like to share with you a Halloween card, plus ATC, made using images from Conjurer of Dreams images. I liked how the card turned out so I made an ATC to go with it.  I originally started out by combining the following COD sets using Photoshop©: Victorian Graveyard, Victorian Dancing Ghosts, Edwardian Bride & Groom Ghosts, Funny Gravestones, You're Driving Me Batty clip art, Aged Papers and Halloween Photo Corners, plus my saying before printing onto Neenah white card stock.  Once I had everything printed out, I layered onto some navy/black card stock before distressing the edges, adding brads and setting aside.  I then stenciled a spiderweb background on my card base using Tim Holtz picket fence distress ink before adding my graveyard panel using some pop up glue dots.  The only embellishments added was some spider sequins for the corners, crinkle ribbon I found in my stash and tiny gemstones for stars.

For the accompanying ATC, I printed the same image (only smaller) then layered using the scraps from my card. Made a small bow using the scraps from my card, added the spider sequins and gems like before to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

Foolish Mortals

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the Haunted Halloween set, and Spooky Eyes stencil, from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I've had these for a while now and just hadn't used them yet - until now. 

 

I started out by stamping the hitch-hiking ghosts onto scrap Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled black dye ink around my "hitch-hikers" before setting aside.  Taking the stencil, I stenciled Opalite Sterling Frost ink that I've had for a decade, or more, and also hadn't used.  Once the stenciling was dry, I added my ghost layer, a black border using scraps before adding my layered sayings.  The final touch was adding some Thunderstorm bling.  I'm pretty happy with it even if it's a 6x6 card.

Loon At The Lake

 

Hello and welcome.   Today I'd like to share a card made using an image I've had colored for some time, just hadn't finished it to a card.  The Loon Scene is from Whimsy Stamps and is just beautiful.  I see so many uses for this stamp.

 

The main image is stamped onto Neenah white card stock and colored using Castle Arts colored pencils and a blender pencil.  I then lightly stippled some tumbled glass distress ink before adding some silver photo corners I've had for years, and I mean years.  The card was made by stippling broken china distress ink over a slim line lily pad stencil from Picket Fence Studios.  Once I had the layered image added to my card, I added some bling, ribbon, diamond ice stickles and a small punched frog to place on one of the lily pads.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The Watermill

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made from another one of the images I colored while my husband had been in the hospital using a digital Watermill image from Impression Obsession.  The image is one I've had for a while printed out and just hadn't gotten to yet.  It is colored using Castle Arts Watercolor pencils and once layered, I added some faux brads to it to help keep the postage price down.  The only embellishment used is stardust stickles to highlight the water.

Halloween Tea Party And Haunts

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a not so spooky Halloween ATC made using the Well Read Haunts ATC backgrounds along with a few other sets from Conjurer of Dreams.  

I started out by digitally layering the following Conjurer of Dreams sets:  Well Read Haunts, Alice in Wonderland Background/Clipart, Bokeh and Floral Teacups, Floral Borders and Corners clip art, Victorian Maid clip art and Cute Dogs before printing and adding to the Black Silk and Aged Paper backgrounds. I liked how it turned out so I kept it clean/simple and didn't add any additional embellishments.

A Quiet River

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you my take using the Conjurer of Dreams free greyscale coloring progressive challenge image. This is image number 4 of this month's progressive challenge. I colored it using Castle Arts watercolor pencils on a dry embossed card using my Big Shot and dusty Cuttlebug Tree Branch embossing folder. Star dust ice stickles highlight the water. Hello and welcome.  Today starts a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing the design team with images to use.  My card today uses their Gnometastic Birthday Cake image.

After printing the image off on Neenah white card stock, I pulled out my Copic markers and colored my gnome chef up before layering and adding brads.  My card is dry embossed using a Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder and my Big Shot.  Once I was finished with the embossing, I pulled out my Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink and ran the ink pad over the raised images before adding my layered image panel to the card using glue dots.  The final touches was some balloon stickers I received from a friend, yellow ice stickles highlighting the candle flame and some Simon Says Stamp warm tones gems.  I'm really happy with how this card turned out.
