Surfing Penguin Kindness

Hello all.  Second post from me today.  If you're looking for my snowman card, please scroll down one post.

I've been having a lot of issues with my migraines lately, so coloring and card making have been hit and miss.  For this card, I pulled out and dusted off some retired Stampin Up sets and showed them some love.   I stamped the penguin from Penguin Paradise onto some scrap white card stock then colored using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering on more scrap card stock.  I then stamped the card using the flamingo trio stamp from Tickled Pink in turquoise ink before over stamping the saying from Heard From The Heart.  I then took a scrap of orange card stock, stamped it and sponged around the edges before popping up my penguin panel over it.  The only embellishments added were some turquoise brads and ice stickles highlighting the waves.

Patriotic Snowman

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you another Christmas card I've made.  The image is from a stamp I received as a RAK and is called Brother Sister Design Studio.  I've tried finding a store site for them but no luck.

After stamping the image in memento tuxedo black ink onto some scrap white card stock, I colored everything using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I dry embossed a scrap red panel and a hunter green panel before sponging poppy ink around the edges of my card.  I then lightly sponged matching poppy and hunter inks over the dry embossing before adhering them to my card.  My final embellishments were brads, paper poinsettia flowers and then some gold/diamond ice stickles.

Hey Friend

Hello and welcome.  Since I'm still trying to keep my mind occupied so I don't dwell on the loss of Bella (story here), I'd like to share a card I've made using some "unloved" Paper Smooches stamps.  I have no idea how long they've been buried in my stash.  Suffice it to say, they've been there a while.

I started out by stamping the carrot from Vegtastic, in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock then colored using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stamped another carrot on to some scrap card stock, colored, and cut out to pop up later.  I then stamped my saying from the now retired Calorie Free set in black above the carrots before stippling Tim Holtz old paper and tumbled glass distress inks lightly over and around the panel.  Once that was done, I sponged some Stampin Up artichoke dye ink on the sides of the image panel before layering it.  I then stamped a scrap artichoke border panel in matching ink before adding to an orange card with a scrap designer paper carrot panel.  After sponging some more artichoke ink around the edges of the card, I added the stamped border before popping up my main image panel over the border.  The final touches were some artichoke brads, the popped up single carrot, and three sunflowers I've had in my stash for years; and I mean YEARS.

Butterfly Beginnings And Kindness

Hello and welcome everyone!  Today I'd like to share a card I made for the Impression Obsession New Beginnings challenge.  For me, butterflies signal a new beginning; starting over or "from scratch" from caterpillar to butterfly.

I pulled out my Watercolor Butterflies (WP846) set and stamped two butterflies using Memento tangelo and dandelion inks onto a white panel. Once that was done, I then stamped the kindness, butterflies and hope sayings in memento black before lightly stippling tumbled glass and wild honey distress inks over all the white spaces.  Then using a color spritzer tool, I spritzed a little ink from a bliss blue marker before stippling spiced marmalade ink around the edges of the panel before layering and adding to my card.  The only embellishments used are orange brads and some bling on the butterfly bodies.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day!

Joyeux Noel

Last post today, I promise.  I'd like to share a card I made using a gorgeous stamp set I received as a RAK from Flourishes.  After stamping my image in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering.  I then stippled some broken china distress and yellow dye inks over and around the colored image.  I then grabbed a piece of leftover wrapping paper I had saved from a few years back, and adhered it to my card to use as designer paper before adding a stamped green border.  Then I highlighted parts of the angel image using some Sakura glaze pens.  My final touches were white paper poinsettia flowers, gold ice stickles, brads, and a small gold bow.

Chocolate Enriched

Hello and welcome.  I'm still trying to stay occupied so I don't focus on losing our dog Bella; aka my baby girl, so I'd like to share a card I made for a few challenges.  Since I've been needing giggles lately, I thought I would finally get around to using this never before used (NBUS) Mildred Chocolate Enriched image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps

After printing her out onto white card stock, I colored her using prismacolor markers then stippled some ballet blue ink around the edges before layering onto scrap card stock.  I then stamped some candy pieces from a long retired Stampin Up set, onto a scrap of close to cocoa card stock in matching ink.  I then used the same stamp in ballet blue ink to create the background on my card.  I pulled out a snippet of blue fiber to tie around the creased edge of the card then added my layered image panel.  The only other embellishments used are some brushed brass mini brads and some never before used (more NBUS) Jolee's chocolate stickers from my stash.  I finally highlighted parts of the image using some Sakura glaze pens.

29 and Recycling!

Hello and welcome.  Today I'm sharing a card I made for my brother's birthday using a hilarious Stella 29 Again image from Bugaboo Digital Stamps. You cannot go wrong with Stella, especially when you need a giggle.

I started out by printing my image at 3.25 x 5 inches since I've been dealing with migraines ...... again.  Once printed, I colored it up using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling some yellow and pacific pointe inks over and around it before layering.  Since I wanted the card to fit flat in a normal A2 envelope, I punched out four small holes to use as faux brads and adhered them using a Martha Stewart glue pen.  My only other embellishment was using a couple of Sakura glaze pens to highlight parts of the image.

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Oh Baby Girl!!!

Well it's official - 2019 you really suck already!!!!  It's been almost one week since my baby girl died in my arms from a massive seizure New Year's Day.  What a crappy way to start the new year.  I'm sure there are those out there that will, or do say, she's only a dog but she WAS my baby girl.

I really, really do miss her.  :(
