Tire Swing

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made using one of the Impression Obsession digital stamps called Tire Swing from the Gary Robertson line of digital stamps.  I've had this image printed for awhile but just hadn't used it yet and I have no idea why it's taken me so long.

I started out by coloring it using both prismacolor and copic markers and a Recollections white chalk marker before layering and adding brushed gold brads.  Taking my card base, I dry embossed it using a Cuttlebug© snowflake embossing folder and my Big Shot©.  Using my paper pouncers, I stippled Tim Holtz picket fence and chipped sapphire over the dry embossed images.  I then took my layered image, distressed the edges using a fingernail and then added it to the card using pop up glue dots.  For the image snowflakes, I used a Sakura white gel pen before adding white enamel dots and diamond ice stickles to the embossed snowflake centers.

Hello and welcome.  We have a new challenge this week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and we're being sponsored by Varada Sharma digital stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship this week and for providing images for the design  team.  For my first card, I am using the Comforting Thoughts digital stamp set.

I started out by combining the flowers with the get well soon sentiment using a watermark program before printing it out onto Hammermill white card stock and coloring using Castle Arts pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I layered the image before adding brads and some faux sewing "stitches" around the edges.  I then stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges then added crystal ice stickles to finish it off.  As an afterthought, I punched a butterfly from scrap card stock before stippling spiced marmalade distress ink over the butterfly before adhering it using Ranger glossy accents.  After adding crystal ice stickles to the butterfly, my card was finished.

My second card is using Pretty Planters and Succulent Thrillers digital stamp sets.  After combining the sets, I printed the combined image out onto Hammermill white card stock then colored using both Prismacolor markers and Castle Arts pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled/blended Tim Holtz tumbled glass and tattered rose distress inks around my colored image using blending brushes from Picket Fence Studios.  After layering, and adding brads, I popped everything up on a dusty durango card base.  The final touches were adding some Picket Fence sequins using glossy accents to adhere them and a clear 3D glaze pen to highlight parts of my colored image.

Hello and welcome to another Pammies Inky Pinkies challenge.  This week we're sponsored by  Sheepski Designs.  I would like to thank Andrea for the stamps she provided the design team.  For my card, I am using the beautiful Winter Deer silhouette image.

After printing off my image onto Neenah white card stock, I stippled some Stampin Up pacific pointe, bashful blue, and wild wasabi inks over, and around, it using some Picket Fence blending brushes I had picked up black Friday and never tried out until now.  Once I was satisfied with the ink coverage, I decided to add some color detail using Castle Art pencils before layering and adding some white brads.  My card base was made using Neenah white card stock with some scrap snowflake designer paper I had left over from making Christmas cards last year.  After adding my layered image and some silver and white organdy ribbon, I punched some greenery using Martha Stewart fern/pine sprig punches and scrap green card stock then added using Ranger glossy accents.  I then pulled from my stash two white silk bridal flowers, with pear centers, I had picked up years ago at Michael's during one of their clearance sales; again never using until now.  After allowing the glossy accents to set a bit, I added waterfall and crystal ice stickles to the image along with a few Gin and Tonic sequins to it for added sparkle.

Hello and welcome.  Today is Humor Me Wednesday over at the Bugaboo Stamps blog Catch The Bug.  Did you know that September 7th is not only Labor Day here in the United States, but it's also "Neither Snow nor Rain" Day.  So I decided to make that my inspiration and go a bit snarky with Stella - Happy Now.  You cannot go wrong with Stella!

I printed my image at 3.5x5 since I've been dealing with a migraine so it would be easier to color using both my prismacolor and copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering over a dry embossed border.  After dusting off some blue fibers I've had for like forever, I added some equally dusty silver snowflakes sequins and then ice stickles to the image to finish it off.
