PIP Challenge 2240

   Sponsored by Newton's Nook

Hello and welcome.  Today starts a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are sponsored by Newton's Nook.  I would like to thank them for sponsoring our challenge this week.

I started out by stamping my images from Newton's Nook Cuppa Cactus in memento tuxedo black ink onto some scrap white card stock before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then went and stippled some Stampin Up ink (garden green, apricot appeal, pumpkin pie) around my colored image before layering and adding brads then adhering it to my card base using pop up glue dots.  After I had adhered my layered image, I decided I should have distressed the edges of the layers so I used a fingernail along the edge to distress it for me.  After adding some thread along the side, I added some flowers punched from more scrap card stock using Ranger's Glossy Accents.  The final touches were ice stickles in the center of the flowers and a black glitter gel pen highlighting the cactus spines before spritzing some garden green marker ink.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I certainly hope fall makes an appearance soon.  We are still having 90 degree days.  This is the time the trees usually start changing colors.  Right now they're just a dirty brown.  Some leaves have fallen off as a dirty redish/brown color.  Have a great week and don't forget to join us at Pammie's Inky Pinkies for this week's challenge.

  3. I do feel for you, Bonnie. We lucked out today, only a high of 86. We'll get back up to 90 again soon enough, for now I'm enjoying it so much. I like those cacti every time you use them. Another fab make, my friend! xoxo
