Sloths And Birthdays
Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share a belated birthday card made using a couple of different never before used sets from Impression Obsession.
I started out by stamping the sloth, and saying, from Sloth Mail (CL703) in memento black onto white copic paper then colored it using copic markers. Once that was done, I lightly stippled some tumbled glass distress ink around it before layering. For my card, I stamped the snow from Snow Globe Additions in fired brick distress ink to create the background. My only embellishments are a small bow and enamel dots in the image panel corners.

Growing Old
Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share a card I made for my husband's birthday using the Gus Birthday Optional digital stamp from Bugaboo Digital Stamps.
Once I had the image printed off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering onto scraps and adding to a stamped card base (also a long scrap). Since I didn't have any matching brads, I made my own by punching a scrap piece of bermuda bay card stock then did my own "stitching", or faux sewing, around the image. For the saying, I printed that also onto Neenah white, cut the saying in half (one half outside, one half inside), again layered onto scraps before adding my faux "brads" and faux sewing.
Here's the inside:

How You Holding Up?
Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share a card made for my step-mom since my late step-dad's birthday was yesterday (June 15th). I made the card using colors associated with pulmonary fibrosis since that's what he passed away from last year. Although he never smoked a day in his life, he was a firefighter for over 40yrs. Thankfully, now firefighters are provided the equipment to keep them safe, they are still exposed to hazards. Smoke from fires, even second hand, are filled with all kinds of chemicals. I should know. I now have been diagnosed with second hand smoke induced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic bronchitis. I've never smoked either, however, my mom, dad, and grandparents smoke cigarettes when I was young and that damaged my lungs. Please, do not smoke around people. You never know who much damage you're doing to someone else.
After printing off the image and saying from Bugaboo's How You Holding Up digital set onto Neenah white card stock, I colored using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering onto scraps and then adding to a blue card. For the card background, I pulled out a very dusty and retired Stampin Up set called Boho Backgrounds and repeated stamped the image in adirondack sailboat blue onto the card. Once I added layered image, I punched out some matching "brads" from some scrap green card stock adhering using a Martha Stewart glue pen. My final embellishments were a small silver bow, 3D glaze pens and a never before used (NBUS) bling flourish. I'm happy with how this turned out since I'm still dealing with the same migraine I've had over a month now; just with varying degrees of pain.

Clean And Simple Thanks
Hello and welcome. I've needed some thank you cards since my stash was running low so I decided to color up this cute, and free, digital stamp from Impression Obsession.
Since I had printed them off on one of my good days, I cut down to size and then colored using my prismacolor pencils and blender pencil. Since I'm still dealing with the migraine, I decided to leave them clean and simple.

Shortened Happy Meal
Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share a card I've made using the Crabby Cathy Fries digital image from Bugaboo Stamps. I absolutely love Bugaboo's snarky images, however, I haven't had a chance to use this image/saying until now.
I started out by printing the image off onto Neenah white card stock then coloring using copic markers. Since I'm still dealing with this migraine, I decided to keep the card clean and simple with the only embellishments planned being yellow brads and a red glitter gel pen for the heart in the saying. However, I ended up smudging the heart a bit and added a small punched flower to cover up the oops.

Cats, Gnomes And Sunflowers
Hello again and welcome. Second post today. I'd like to share another card I made last night while trying to focus on something other than the migraine which has been a doozy. It took several hours just to color since my eyes and brain didn't want to cooperate. The image is another digital from Impression Obsession I've had for a month and hadn't used yet (more never before used schtuff NBUS). It's from the Gary Robertson line called Gnome On Bench H1897-DG and is currently free. If you don't like working with digital stamps, you can purchase it here. This image reminds me so much of the flower farms near the Monterey coastline and the raisin farms here in California since the end of each row of grapevines has sunflowers planted.
After printing it off, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before edging the image by applying memento tuxedo black ink directly to the edges then layered. I used very few embellishments for my card. I then tied some tan thread from my Stampin Up demo days (had this for years and lost it; not anymore). I then added some vintage silver diamond brads and a milk bucket charm I had forgotten I had. The final touch was adding a little bit of a 3D glaze pen to the butterfly and white gel pen for the gnomes "eye sparkle".

Monday, Tuesday, WTF, Migraines and 2020
Hello and welcome. I don't know about you, but I think I've had all the "fun" 2020 can, and will, offer. Raise your hand if you'd like to just skip to 2021. So with that in mind, I'd like to share a card with you I made myself make last night since my migraines were on overdrive and it was either try focusing on something else or cry which would have hurt worse. Now, I love Bugaboo Stamps especially their snarky/sassy ones like this Gus Tidbits.
After printing the image off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering and adding some long forgotten MFT Chick Flick brads before adding it to a red card. As an afterthought, I stippled some left over tumbled glass distress ink from another project. I'm really please with how this turned out especially with how crappy I've been feeling.

Vintage Happiness
Hello and welcome. I'm guest designing today over on the Arty Divas Blog and I'd like to share with the card I made for my husband for Father's Day using one of Unity's limited edition digital stamps (get them before they're gone). I've had this stamp for a couple of months now and just have never used it yet (NBUS).
After printing off my image from the Good Ol Days set onto Neenah white card stock, I then colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before sponging Tim Holtz old paper distress ink over it. I then sponged some tea stain ink around the edges, layered, then distressed one of the layers before adding some vintage brads including a long forgotten Tim Holtz gear socket charm. I then sponged some forest moss distress ink onto my card before adding the layered image using dimensionals. My final touches was adding some twine to the top edge and highlighting parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens. As an afterthought, I took a stipple brush that still had some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink on it and then stippled over the old paper to add a little more detail.
Additional photos to closer show some of the detail .

Thinking Of Morning Glories
Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share a sympathy card I made for a friend who recently lost her mother. The image is a never before used (NBUS) digital from Impression Obsession and is called Morning Glories H1856-DG and is currently free on their site. If you don't like using digital stamps, then you can purchase the rubber image here.
After printing off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I pulled out my prismacolor and copic markers and got to work. Once the coloring was finished, it was layered onto larger scrap card stock and then added to a leaf green card. I then took the saying from a retired MFP Stamp Shop set, cut it in two before stamping in memento black ink. I then punched the photo frames from scrap cocoa card stock, framed my image, stamped the "dots" using Stampin Up's retired Itty Bitty Backgrounds then diamond ice stickles to the morning glory centers and on the sun.

Pigs, Blessings And Friends
Hello and welcome. I'd like to share another clean and simple card (CAS) I made using a new and never before used (NBUS) digital stamp from Sherry West Art called The Three Little Oinks. I had originally planned on making a layered card with this image, however, after cutting the paper down to size I realized it would make a perfect CAS card on it's own. After coloring it using prismacolor pencils and a blender pencil, I took one of my stipple brushes and lightly stippled left over ink around the image. My final touch was stamping the saying from an old, long retired, Stampin Up set called Wishes Awash.

Who Laid The Egg?
Hello and welcome. With everything that's going on right now - the global pandemic, economic hardships, and the race riots here in the United States, I wanted to make a card that would make somebody smile. Plus get me away from the constant news coverage my husband is watching. So I printed off this image from Sherry West Art although this particular image was a freebie in her Facebook group. The saying is from the Sayings Galore set from MFP Stamp Shop (now closed).
After printing off the image onto Neenah white card stock and coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers, I layered it before adding to a textured card. My only embellishments is a yellow bow and a pair of googlie eyes.
