Hello and welcome. Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Newton's Nook. For my card today, I pulled out my Newton's Rainy Day set and got to work.
I started out by stamping my image, and saying, on a piece of scrap Hammermill card stock before coloring using my Copic markers. Once all of the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some pacific pointe ink over/around the image using my Tim Holtz mini domed ink blending foams then layered and added brads. Setting my layered panel aside, I then pulled out my raindrop stencil and added ink again using the blending foam to create my card base. I then added the layered image panel using glue dots before adding some blue fibers I've had in my stash for YEARS and then some blue rain drops. The final touch was diamond ice stickles to the rain and puddle. I'm really please with how it turned out.
Challenges entered:
Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS) #60 - Use Your NBUS (raindrop stencil)
Splitcoaststampers USEIT2024 - Use Your Unloved Stash (fibers, dew drops)
Stamps and Fun = Creativity #450 - Favorite Animal (favorite animal is cats)
A Barrel of Monkeys #13 - Fingerpaints (chose the colors I used growing up)
