THEME inspiration...
Hello and welcome. Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies. Since this is the 5th Monday of July, our challenge is a theme one - think Summer! Since most of your summer watermelon's come from California's Central Valley, my card is using Sweet n Sassy's Summer Fruit set.
I started out by stamping my image/saying in memento tuxedo black ink onto scrap Hammermill white card stock before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering and setting aside. Taking a Cuttlebug checkerboard embossing folder, I dry embossed my card using my Big Shot before stippling Tim Holtz fired brick distress ink over the embossed images before adding my layered image panel. I then pulled out my Picket Fence watermelon crush sequin mix and adhered four of the clay watermelon slices before adding a few seeds and sequins from the mix.
Challenges entered:
Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS) #52 - Use Your NBUS (stamps/sequin mix/embossing folder)
Splitcoaststampers USEIT2023 - Use Your Unloved Stash (stamps/sequin mix/embossing folder)
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and don't forget to join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.
