Hello
Friends and welcome to the #runuptochristmashop2023 hosted by
@love_smile_and_craft and @kellys.craft. We are going to make a card
each week for 12 weeks until Christmas. This week's theme is "Christmas
Wreath" and a good thing too. That meant I would finally finish coloring this wreath card I started 5yrs ago (thanks to a variety of health/migraine issues) from Verve Stamps I received as a RAK from a friend.
The wreath is stamped in Tim Holtz pine needles distress ink and colored using both prismacolor and copic markers. Once the coloring was finished, I blended stormy sky and tumbled glass distress inks around it before layering and adding brads. Taking my Tonic distresser tool I ran it along the edges of the image panel before setting aside. My card base is stamped using a retired Stampin Up holly jumbo wheel and garden green ink. I then added the image panel using pop up glue dots before adding a few dots of crystal ice stickles to highlight parts of the image and a clear 3D glaze pen to highlight the berries.
Challenges entered:
Never Before Used Schtuff (NBUS) #55 - Use Your NBUS (wreath set)
Peace On Earth #50 - See Mood Board (inspired by wreaths on trucks)
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.

This is beautiful, Bonnie! It must feel great to finally finish this card! I'm sorry to be so late visiting ... it feels good to be back in Blogland after lots of company and traveling! We are warming up here, too, up to the 90s on Wed and Thurs, but then cool again on the weekends. Love that the nights are cooler this time of year, but not a fan of the dark cycle! Thank you so much for inspiring everyone at NBUS with all your entries this month! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBonnie, congratulations for finishing this. It's stunning! Hope you don't get too warm this week. It's gonna mess up a nice cool front for us as well. Sigh! Have a good week, xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your health issues but this card was worth the five year wait. It's gorgeous. Thanks so much for playing with us at the HLS Christmas challenge blog!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful wreath, doesn't it feel goods to pull something out old and finish it up?
