A Little Envelope Art

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an envelope I decorated for Colorado Craft Company's mail art not a lost art.  I pulled out a couple of the smaller sets, plus a larger one, I received in a destash box from @tjcarddesigns to decorate my envie.  (Art Is, Be Creative, and The Artist) I stamped all of the images using memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using Castle Arts watercolor pencils and a blender pencil.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  My project today is a cute little ATC made using the Cerealsly Awesome and Hedgehugs sets.

I started out by stamping my sayings, cereal and corner hearts in memento tuxedo black ink onto a white scrap panel left over from another project.  After coloring the images using Copic markers, I stippled Tim Holtz tattered rose distress ink around to softly lighten the background using a paper pouncer before layering onto more scrap card stock.  I then lightly color spritzed a regal rose marker then highlighted the corner hearts using a clear 3D glaze pen.  The final touch was edging the bottom layer using the regal rose marker allowing some of the ink to "bleed over".  Here's another view:

It's An Adams Kind Of Day

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I have an art journal page I made, or at least my take on one, for the Gecko Galz Monthly Goth challenge and a few others too.   When I saw the image we were to use for the challenge, it reminded me of Wednesday Adams from the Adams family.  Now I've got the theme song going through my head.  LOL  

I started out by printing the image on Neenah white cardstock making sure to run a black prismacolor marker along the edges before layering and adding some pewter skull brads I found in my stash.  I then distressed the edges a bit using a distresser tool before setting it aside.  Taking a slate colored piece of card stock, I stamped two spiderwebs in memento tuxedo black ink from a long retired Stampin Up set called Web Wishes in the corners before taking a memento london fog cat eye ink pad and repeatedly stamped it around half of the page.  Taking a Tim Holtz Dots stencil, I stippled Altenew lava rock and moon rock inks over half of the page before taking the cat eye inks and "drawing" lines with the edges before adding my layered image using glue dots.  I then added the spooky using some letter tiles I received in a destash box from a friend.  I then stamped the "kooky" using a long retired My Favorite Things Alphadots set on scrap copic white card stock before punching the letters out using a 1/2 inch Marvy circle punch.  I then punched out two more layers from more scrap grey card stock using Marvy 1" and 1 1/2" circle punches before layering everything.  Once that was finished, I added the "kooky" letters using glue dots then highlighted the letters using a white 3D glaze pen.  Dusting off my prima flowers, I selected black and purple flowers to add using glue dots before adding black bling to the centers.  I then pulled out the bat and spider brads from the same pack I found the skull ones in and added them to my page.  The final touches were two punched bats that I "softened up" using a soft Staples© mouse pad and an dry embossing stylus, added them using micro glue dots and then added some purple bling to the "bodies".  Then I adhered my finished page to my art journal book using 1/2 inch Scor-Tape.

A St. Patrick Cat In A Hat

 

Hello and welcome.  Second post from me today.  To see my Stained Glass Mushroom card, please scroll down one post.  For this post, I'd like to share a card made using the free newsletter digital image  from Gerda Steiner Designs called St. Patrick's Day Cat and Hat. 

 

I started off by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock then colored using both prismacolor and copic markers then layered and added brads.  For my card base, I pulled out a Recollections© All Seasons paper pad I've had in my stash for who knows how long.  After selecting my designer paper, I adhered it to a white card base before adding my layered image panel.  Digging through my stash of Prima© flowers, I dug out two polka dotted flowers, added them to the card using glue dots,  The final touches were some bling shamrocks I had forgotten about and some green/white bakers twine.

Stained Glass Mushroom

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you another card made using a couple of Gecko Galz digital products: Stained Glass Beauty and their free digital paper pack Let That Shitake Go when you spend $10 in the shop this month.  Now that's a win win in my book.

 

I started out by cutting out the mushroom panel from the Stained Glass Beauty, layered it on scrap card stock, and added some red mini brads before setting aside.  Taking one of the the Let That Shitake Go, I printed it as a 4x6 panel before adhering it to a black A2 card base.  After I added a strip of scrap black card stock, I then adhered the stained glass panel at an angle using glue dots.  The final touches were a small red bow and some poinsettia dew drops from my stash.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out since my migraine is not going away, even though the concussion issues have mostly resolved.

Irish Dancer

Hello and welcome.  I have another card to share using the Gecko Galz Blarny and It's Not Easy Being Green digital sets.  I'll sure be glad when this migraine and concussion symptoms go away.  Dealing with both is the pits!!

I started out by cutting down to size one of the remaining images on my Blarny collage sheet before layering and adding some green flower brads before setting aside.  For my card, I added a panel of It's Not Easy Being Green to a old olive card base before adding a strip of old olive scraps for a border.  I then added the Irish dancer panel using glue dots and added a light green Prima flower.  Taking my shamrock Martha Stewart punch, I punched a scrap of old olive to make my shamrock, before pouncing some old olive ink over the shamrock.  When it was coated to my liking, I adhered it using glue dots.  The final touch was adding green bling to the center of the flower and shamrock to finish it off.

Hello and welcome.  I'm sharing a card made using Gecko Galz Blarny digital collage set and their It's Not Easy Being Green digital paper pack. I'm so glad I have these pre-colored images to work with at the moment since I'm still dealing with a migraine and the effects from my fall.  This concussion stuff is no joke I'm finding out.

I started out by trimming down to size one of the Blarny images then pairing it with some scrap green card stock before adding brads and setting aside.  I then cut down to size one of the It's not being green digital papers, then adhered it to a garden green card.  Taking my layered image panel, I then added it using glue dots before adding some green primas with bling centers.  The final touch was lightly color spritzing a garden green marker over the main image.  As an afterthought, I ran a fingernail along the edges of my layered image panel to distress it a bit.

Stained Glass Shamrock

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using a couple of sets from Gecko Galz.  I  sure thankful for Gecko Galz's pre-colored images.  It sure makes creating with a migraine, or concussion, easier so I don't go stir crazy.  The blogging is much harder right now.  The images/kits I used are their gorgeous Stained Glass Beauty and It's Not Easy Being Green digital paper pack.  The stained glass reminds me so much of my late uncle who used to make stained glass pieces to sell/give as gifts.  So, Uncle Dave, this is in your memory.

I started out by cutting the background paper to size before dry embossing it using a Cuttlebug© Moroccan screen embossing folder in my Big Shot©.  Once that was done, I adhered it to a green base card and slightly sanded the embossing images to "rough it up a bit".  Taking the stained glass collage, I cut the shamrock one to size, adhering it to green/black card stock scraps then added brads.  Once that was finished, I adhered the layered image to the card using glue dots, then added some light green Prima flowers I've had in my stash for years.  The final touches were a light green rhinestone to the center of the flowers/shamrock, a small green bow and some Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink sponged along the edges.
