Much More Friendly With Two

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you another cute Pooh Bear image from Dina Kowal Digital Designs.  The set this image is in is Pooh Cards 1 Classic.  I started out by printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring it using both Lyra and Castle Arts pencils.  Since I wanted a "vintage" look, I then stippled some Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink using my Picket Fence blending brushes before layering.  Once layered, I added it to a chocolate chip card with some Classic Pooh digital designer paper also from Dina Kowal Digital Designs.  I then stippled more walnut stain distress ink around of the edges of the card before adding some vintage pearls, from my stash, instead of brads.

Lighting Candles and Listening Friends

Hello and welcome.  Although I'm still dealing with migraines, I needed a couple of birthday cards for some in-laws so I decided to pull out my Art Impression Fire Out set to make one.  I just LOVE this set to use for nice snarky birthday cards.  My late step-dad would have loved this set too since he was a fire captain for Cal Fire here in California.

I started out by stamping my image/saying in memento tuxedo black ink onto a white scrap before coloring using Lyra and Castle Arts pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz Tattered Rose distress ink and Stampin Up Rose Red ink around/over the image panel before layering and adding some brads.  I then added the layered panel onto a rose red card that was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug birthday embossing folder and my big shot. I then stippled more rose red ink around the edges of the card.  The only other embellishments added was a pink organdy ribbon on the side and using a Sakura 3D glaze pen for the glasses.

My second card to share is using an adorable Pooh and Piglet image from Dina Kowal Digital designs.  The image is Classic Pooh and I love how some of the images in the set are already combined for an A2 sized card.  Although I can work with digital stamps, I'll admit to still trying to figure out my Photoshop program.

After printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored is using my dusty Prismacolor watercolor pencils and blender marker.  Once my coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and Walnut Stain around the edges of the colored image and my card base.  Once I had my image panel layered, I added some faux brads before adding to my card.  The card base also had a panel of Classic Pooh digital paper.  The only embellishments added was some primas flowers I've had for years and some crystal ice stickles highlighting the snowy path, faux brads, and center of the flowers along with some kraft thread on the side.

Thank You For Everything

A little late posting.  My husband and I stayed up through the night to watch the funeral for her majesty Queen Elizabeth II from our side of the pond.  She was the only queen I've ever known.  She was a national, and world, treasure for sure and King Charles III is going to have some big shoes to fill.  To the Royal Family, the people of the UK and the Commonwealth, my heartfelt and deepest sympathies to you.  God save the King!!

First, and foremost, I would like to extend my condolences to the Royal Family, and all of the United Kingdom, on the death of Her Majesty the Queen. She will be missed.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship this week and for providing the design team the cute little Watermelon Dinosaur image to use this week.

After printing my image onto hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  The watermelon seeds, and dino's eyes, are colored using gel pens.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink using one of my Picket Fence blending brushes before stamping the saying from my Gerda Steiner Hedgehog with Sign clear set in memento black ink before layering.  After adding some brads, I adhered the layered image to a card made using some scrap Life is Good designer paper (retired from Echo Park I think).  Pulling out some unloved prima flowers, I added another brad then adhered it  to my card using Ranger glossy accents.

I'm really happy with how it turned out especially since I've been dealing with a nasty migraine for the last few weeks - thank you California weather.  I'm hoping with our nasty heat spell finally over, my migraines will start to settle down for a bit.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies for our challenge this week.

Prickly Fall Coffee

Hello and welcome.  I don't know about you, but I am so ready for the seasons to change..and soon!  I've had enough of summer thanks to this year's record breaking heat.  The best part about fall arriving is Pumpkin Spice Latte's!  Yes!!!  So my card today basically takes a "summer" stamp and turned it into a fall card.

I started out by stamping my images from Newton's Nook Cuppa Cactus in memento tuxedo black ink onto some scrap white card stock before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then went and stippled some Stampin Up ink (garden green, apricot appeal, pumpkin pie) around my colored image before layering and adding brads then adhering it to my card base using pop up glue dots.  After I had adhered my layered image, I decided I should have distressed the edges of the layers so I used a fingernail along the edge to distress it for me.  After adding some thread along the side, I added some flowers punched from more scrap card stock using Ranger's Glossy Accents.  The final touches were ice stickles in the center of the flowers and a black glitter gel pen highlighting the cactus spines before spritzing some garden green marker ink.   I'm really happy with how this turned out since I made it while still dealing with a migraine.

Rainbow Tree

Hello and welcome.  First, I would like to apologize for not posting much the last few weeks.  Between health issues, migraines and California's disgusting heat wave along with the wildfires, I have not been in a crafting mood much.  I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend who just lost a beloved cat she rescued off the streets of Hollywood several years ago.  I decided to keep the card fairly clean and simple plus ink up an old PTI set I received as a RAK (random act of kindness) a couple of months ago and haven't used yet (NBUS).

I started out by inking the tree from PTI's Through The Trees (retired) using PTI's dark chocolate ink before inking the leaves using an old Kaleidacolor Calypso ink pad then stamping onto a white card.  After stamping the saying in memento black, I decided to stamp the inside using PTI's Sympathy Loss of Pet (retired) using the same inks.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are sponsored by  SheepSki Designs.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of this week's challenge.  I've used their  Snowboardin" #164 image for my project.  After printing out my image onto Hammermill white card stock then colored using prismacolor markers, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz stormy sky ink using my Picket Fence blending brushes before layering and adding some brads from my stash.  I then added some faux stitches before adhering to a blue card with scrap designer paper.  I then added some matching ribbon/fibers before stamping the winter saying from a retired Stampin Up Season by Season set (retired).  I then punched out the saying then added diamond ice stickles and white sequins to finish it off.
