Rainbow Tree

Hello and welcome.  First, I would like to apologize for not posting much the last few weeks.  Between health issues, migraines and California's disgusting heat wave along with the wildfires, I have not been in a crafting mood much.  I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend who just lost a beloved cat she rescued off the streets of Hollywood several years ago.  I decided to keep the card fairly clean and simple plus ink up an old PTI set I received as a RAK (random act of kindness) a couple of months ago and haven't used yet (NBUS).

I started out by inking the tree from PTI's Through The Trees (retired) using PTI's dark chocolate ink before inking the leaves using an old Kaleidacolor Calypso ink pad then stamping onto a white card.  After stamping the saying in memento black, I decided to stamp the inside using PTI's Sympathy Loss of Pet (retired) using the same inks.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

  1. That is such a cool tree stamp and I love it in rainbow colors, Bonnie! It's thoughtful throughout and the rainbow is perfect for the loss of a beloved pet. I'm sorry for her loss, but glad it got you feeling creative again. The weather and fires have been a bummer, so these last few days of cooler days (and nights, aaaah!) have been a welcome relief. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Take care! Hugs, Darnell

  3. It turned out gorgeous! Amazing inking on those leaves and the inside looks professional. So horrible about the wildfires and the freaky weather, hate they mess you up and you can't just close your door on it to be able to escape it. xoxo
