Challenge 2302

  Sponsored by Beccy's Place

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by  Beccy's Place.  I would like to thank Beccy for sponsoring our challenge and for providing images for the design team to use.  My card uses the Christmas Kitties digital set.

I don't know about you, but for me, 2023 has picked up right where 2022 left off.  I've been battling both the flu and a migraine the last few weeks.  Fortunately, so far COVID testing has come out negative.  Creating has been very hard since I've been feeling so poorly.

After combining my image/saying in a watermark program, I printed it out onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring it using both Lyra and Castle Arts pencils.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some stormy sky and old paper distress inks using my blending brushes from Picket Fence Studios. After distressing the image panel, and layering, I added it to the card using glue dots before highlighting the eyes/mistletoe using 3D glaze pens.  As an afterthought, I added some faux sewing using a Castle Arts copper gel pen before adding a cream rosette bow.

  2. I'm so sorry this year has started out with you catching the flu in addition to your migraines, Bonnie. I've heard from others that the flu is particularly nasty this year, which seems so unfair, doesn't it? I hope you shake off the last of it soon and that you weren't negatively impacted by the last 22 days of rain. (We're still good here.) I'm glad you are feeling at least a little better so you could whip up this fun card! I LOVE the sediment! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Take care! Hugs, Darnell
