 Challenge 2122 - Team A

THEME = BUTTERFLIES

Hello and welcome to another challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  I would like to thank Bugaboo for providing images the design team used.  Since this is the fifth week of the month, we have a theme challenge and that is Butterflies.  So show us your butterfly creations.

I started out by printing my image, Dandelion Butterflies, onto Neenah white card stock then colored using Castle Art pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I lightly blended tumbled glass distress ink around it before layering.  Since I didn't have matching brads I made my own by using a hand held small hole punch, scrap card stock and a Martha Stewart glue pen.  The only other embellishments were a pink organdy ribbon and silk butterfly adhered using Ranger glossy accents.

I Will Sing

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made using a beautiful Stamps Happen stamp sent to me by my friend Sarah A.  I was having a really down kind of day, thanks to my migraines, when I started this card.

After stamping it in memento tuxedo black ink on a Neenah white card, I pulled out my Castle Art pencils and colored it before layering and adding brads.  For my card, I pulled out a scrap piece of music note designer paper and added that to a pacific pointe card base before adding a strip of matching card stock then sponging Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges.  The card is finished off by adding some blue prima flowers I've had for years and then some bling to their centers.

Let's Celebrate Little Hedgie

Hello and welcome.  Today starts a new Stella Says Sketch challenge over at Catch The Bug and I'm using the cute little Hedgehog Flower digital Crafters Castle #41 - Anything Goesimage for my card.  I also took a little "artistic liberties" with my take on the sketch.

I started out by stamping tone-on-ton half of a green galore card base before sponging the matching ink around the edges.  I then die cut a scallop border in scrap orange card stock before stippling Tim Holtz spiced marmalade distress ink around the edges of it then added using glue dots.  Since I've been dealing with another migraine, I then popped up a tag I had made a while back, using dimensionals, before adding some flowers I made by punching scrap card stock using a MS hydrangea punch adhering them using Ranger Glossy Accents.  The final touch was gold ice stickle centers.  Easy peasy right?

Celebrating You With Wine

Hello and welcome.  Today is another Freebie Friday over at Catch The Bug and this week's freebie happens to be a fun Chef Pierre image.

Once I had my (NBUS) image printed onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it with Castle Art pencils before sponging some rich razzelberry ink around the edges then layered and added gold brads.  For the card, I added a green felt grape vine border ribbon I bought on a whim over a decade ago and never used (NBUS). I then added my layered image popping it up over the felt border.  I then stamped the saying, from a long retired Stampin Up set, in memento black before adding a matching satin ribbon with a wine glass charm I've had for years and never used.

Take Me To The Beach Please!

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the Day At The Beach digital stamp from Impression Obsession.  Now if you're not a fan of digital stamps, they also have it as a rubber stamp here.  I had originally started it a week ago for the new Free For All challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, however, I was slowed down considerably by a migraine.  I still have it, but it's a tad more bearable now.

Once I had the image printed off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress and Adirondack caramel inks around it then layered.  Since I didn't have brads that matched the card base, I made my own faux brads by punching some small circles then adhering them to the layered panel using a 2-way glue pen.  After adding the image panel to my card base, I pulled out some blue gross grain ribbon from my stash and added that.  The only other embellishments added were an old Paper Bliss tag with caramel ink stippled around it and waterfall ice stickles to highlight the ocean waves.

Sponsored by StarStampz

Hello and welcome to another Pammie's Inky Pinkies challenge.  This week we are sponsored by StarStampz.  I would like to thank them for the images they provided the design team.  For my project today, I am using the image Goldfish Fishing.

I started out by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock then colored it using Castle Art pencils before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass/mowed lawn ink around the edges then layered and adding purple brads.  For the card, I started out by stamping a retired Stampin Up background Hearts and Swirls in Altnew Deep Iris ink before dry embossing a scrap strip of lavender card stock.  Once both of those were done, I assembled my card base then added the layered image panel.  I then stamped my saying in memento tuxedo black ink from a long retired Stampin Up set called Mixed Greetings.  After adding some silk flowers with a matching purple brad center, my card was finished.

Happy Everything!

Hello and welcome.  Today is Bugaboo's  Freebie Friday over at Catch The Bug.  I love this image since it can be used so many different ways.

After printing it off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges then layered it onto scrap purple/black card stock then added brads.  The card is made using more scrap card stock that had been cut down from a larger card I made a while ago.  I then stippled concord grape distress ink around the edges before stamping the saying from a retired Stampin Up set in memento tuxedo black.  The only other embellishments were ice stickles on the vase and copic spica pens on the stem and leaves.

You Are Youer Than You

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made for one of the Teapot Tuesday challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.  Since the challenge was to take inspiration from the Sylvia Beach Hotel's rooms that are designed around books and their authors.  I chose the Dr Seuss room.  I read so many Dr Seuss books growing up and then read them to my own children that I just had to make a card based on his books.

I started out by printing my image onto Neenah white card stock then colored using Castle Art pencils before lightly stippling some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink that I had remaining on my brush from another project.  Once  that was finished, I layered it, added brads and then as an afterthought, I used my fingernail to distress the edges of the image panel before adding it to the card.  I then added some ribbon, gold cord and prima flowers with a bling center to finish it off.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies and this week we are being sponsored by Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.

I started out by die cutting the large coffee mug and "coffee" saying from the Coffee Cup Dies set before stamping, onto the mug, the additional saying from the Coffee Talk set in memento tuxedo black.  I then lightly blended Tim Holtz stormy sky and tea dye distress inks over the mug before doing the same to the die cut coffee saying in Tim Holtz walnut stain distress ink.  After adding some chocolate ribbon, I added the walnut stain ink to the inside of the mug before adding a little glossy accents to make the coffee look more real.  The final touches were a couple of prima flowers with a bling center.  I really like how this turned out since I was dealing with another migraine as well as using more of my never before used (NBUS) stash plus more of my scraps.
