A Very Merry Belated Birthday

Growing up the movie Alice In Wonderland was one of my favorites and I especially loved the Mad Hatter.  I'm serious, what other Disney character could be that crazy and get away with it?  I know I couldn't.  In fact, the last time my family was at Disneyland here in California, the Mad Hatter poured my tea at Goofy's Kitchen from 1' foot off the table and didn't spill a drop!  Now how's that for talent?  So when MFT came out with the set Costumes In Wonderland by Stephanie Fizer I knew I had to get it. 

Unfortunately, the set sat uninked for a few months thanks to my migraine issues.  I finally got around to stamping with it and decided to pair it up with some Prima Marketing Nursery Rhyme designer paper since the background print is also Alice In Wonderland.  Cool huh?

I let the designer paper choose the coloring of the image and layers.  Pulling out some retired Stampin Up! cardstock and pairing that with MFT's white Perfect Panels, I stamped the Mad Hatter (of course) in memento tuxedo black ink and colored with prismacolor markers again allowing the designer paper to choose my colors.  After adding some MFT baby brads, popping up on dimensionals, and adding some Prima Nursery Rhyme ribbon, my card was finished.  Here's a close up of the image.

Traveling More Is More Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Today I have another MFT card to share, this time using one of the Pure Innocence line combined with a SCS dirty dozen traveling theme more is more challenge for this month.

I started out by stamping my Snowadorable Pure Innocence boy in memento tuxedo black on MFT Perfect Panels and then colored with prismacolor markers.

After finding some Hero Arts felt snowflakes in my stash, I allowed those to determine the colors of my cards.  Using a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder only added to making everything match.

For the More Is More challenge, we are supposed to stamp two cards, one standard and then take the next one up a "level".  Here is my standard card -

Here is my more is more card.  For this one, I sponged Stampin Up! ballet blue ink over the embossing and added additional felt snowflakes.

Trick or Treating C4C

I finally got a chance to do another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge.  For this week, the theme was fall and the first thing that came to mind was trick or treating as a kid.  I love this Trick or Treat With Who's That Girl image.  It not only brings back memories, but it also has my favorite MFT character - Flopsy!

I started out by stamping in memento tuxedo black and colored with prismacolor markers.  Once my image was colored and layered, I found some pumpkin brads in my stash to match the Queen & Company pumpkin sticker ribbon.

Howdy!

Welcome again!  I had time to stamp something again for The Cats Pajamas think pink challenge.

This time I pulled out two of my favorite sets Having A Powwow and It's A Western Thing.  After stamping my images on MFT Perfect Panels in memento tuxedo black and coloring with prismacolor markers then cut some of the images out.  After layering both panels, I added some MFT


baby brads and popped the main image up on Stampin Up! dimensionals.

A Bloomin Pink Day

Happy Friday!!  We made it to the end of the week.  For me, I'm thankful I made it even with the migraines I'm still dealing with.  Ugh!

I stamped and colored this little cutie pie on one of my "good days" when the headaches weren't so bad.  This Pure Innocence stamp is from My Favorite Things and is called Bloomin Good Day. 

I had found some loose designer paper in my stash, so I used my paper as inspiration for my coloring.  Deciding to just keep everything simple, I stamped her in memento tuxedo black on MFT's Perfect Panels and colored with prismacolor markers before layering.  The only embellies used are some prima flowers from my stash, MFT baby brads and some gem stickers for the flower centers.

Simple, yet totally cute.

Cold Nose, Warm Hearts

I happened to come across a challenge at Splitcoaststampers hosted by The Cats Pajamas and since my TCP stamps were a bit dusty, I decided to join in.  Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, the challenge was to use pink.

Since most of my TCP stamps are either western or Christmas type, this challenge was really going to be a challenge for me. 

Pulling out my Deck The Hall set, I stamped the images in memento tuxedo black on MFT's Perfect Panels and colored with prismacolor markers making sure the candy cane stripes were also in pink.  After layering, I pulled out some $1 ribbon from Michael's I've had in my stash for who knows how long to separate the image panel from the card itself so it didn't get lost in all of the pink.  I also found some frosted Primas, MFT baby brads and an EK Success ribbon awareness punch as embellies. 

Once the front side was done, it was time to get to the inside.  Keeping it simple, I just re-stamped my main image in Stampin Up! Regal Rose ink, stamped my saying from MFT in black and added the pink ribbon again.

Fred The Flying Ace

Welcome!!  I totally love this image from My Favorite Things!

This week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge is all about the boy's.  I pulled out my favorite Fred Bear image to match it up with some Gartner designer paper I had found at Michaels a few months ago.

Fred is stamped in memento tuxedo black on MFT's white perfect panels and then colored with prismacolor markers.  After layering and adding some vintage brads, I lightly stippled Stampin Up! Creamy Caramel dye ink to "age" Fred a bit and the card itself.

Cracked Country Flowers

I have a card from the archives that I thought I had posted, however, didn't yet.  I love the antique, yet country feel of this card. 

After stamping the main image on white paper in memento tuxedo black ink then colored with prismacolor markers before over-stamping a cracked background stamp from Rubber Stampede.  Once I sponged creamy caramel ink around the edges, I layered the main image then added some antique brass brads.

After stamping the chicken wire background and sponging more so saffron around the edges, I took one of my MFT Die-namics, made a scalloped border for the middle, then over-stamped the same Rubber Stampede cracked background before holding it down with the same antique brass brads on the main image layer. 

Making a vintage card is so easy and only takes a few minutes.  Thanks for stopping by today.
