PIP Challenge 2324

 Sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by  Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing images for the design team to use.

I started out by printing the Squirrel with Acorns digital stamp on Hammermill white card stock before coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled some walnut stain and mowed lawn distress ink using my brushes from Picket Fence Studios then layered.  My saying from the Cupcake Mice set released last month was then stamped in memento tuxedo black ink before punching and stippling more walnut stain distress ink around the edges.  Once I was finished with everything, I adhered the image/saying to a espresso card with an embossed tree stump panel with walnut stain stippled over the raised edges.  The final embellishments was some faux sewing around the squirrel and highlighting the saying using a black 3D glaze pen.

Trees and Jello

Hello and welcome.  Today I have another card to share made for this month's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.  While looking for the saying I used in yesterday's project, I came across this wood block stamp from Whipper Snapper that I totally forgot I had.  I must have bought it either online, or at a stamp convention, 20 years ago.

I started out by stamping the saying in memento tuxedo black ink onto a top note die cut I received from a secret sister a while back before stippling Tim Holtz spiced marmalade and tumbled glass distress inks around it.  My card is stamped in using a retired Stampin Up Fresh Fillers wood block set (I haven't used in years) in tangerine tango ink before adhering my die cut saying panel.  Once that was finished, I pulled out some dusty prima flowers and adhered them to the card before pulling out my Martha Stewart fern punch and punching scrap green card stock with Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink stippled over them.  I then adhered the "ferns" to my card and added some bling to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out since I was making it with another migraine.

Woodblock Wednesday June 2023

Hello and welcome to another edition of Woodblock Wednesday where the challenge is to pull out those woodblock stamps that are collecting dust and show them some love again.  I bought the Stampabilities ©Peanuts stamp almost 20 yrs ago and to this day it's still one of my favorites even though I don't use it much.  The stamp image along is long enough to make a mini slimline card, and that was before slimline cards were a "thing".  The Art Impressions saying I bought at a stamp convention around the same time as the ©Peanuts one.

After stamping the image in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored the image using both prismacolor and copic markers before adding the clouds using a Picket Fence Studios slimline cloud stencil, tumbled glass distress ink and my Picket Fence Studios blending brushes. I then stippled the grass using my brushes and Tim Holtz mowed lawn distress ink.  I then adhered the panel to a blue slimline card before highlighting the saying using a black Castle Arts gel pen.

Here are my stamps used:

Hello and welcome.  Today begins another challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Varada Sharma.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing images for the design team to use.  My card today is featuring the set Pretty Little Tulips.

I started out by printing the vase three times and the tulip flowers five times before coloring them using both prismacolor and copic markers the fussy cutting everything out.  I then took a trimmed Hammermill white panel and stippled my background using a retired Picket Fence Studios brick wall 6x6 stencil and my blending brushes using some fired brick distress ink before adhering the vase and two of the colored tulip spray before cutting apart a third tulip spray to add additional pieces throughout my vase bouquet.  I then took a dusty Martha Stewart punch and created the thank you saying then adhering it to the vase.  The final touches were a small bow and then adding some Meraki Sparkle Midnight Illusion bling.  The final two floral sprays and vases were used to make two additional cards.

Here is another card made using the same image, and layout, a little differently.
