Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! We have four samples each day for our hop! Please visit each of the following blogs for holiday inspiration! Start off tomorrow on the MFP Blog for more inspiration! Day 6 Altered Frame Oct 22
For my project, I started out by taking a frame I had found on clearance at Walmart, removed the glass, and dusted off the frame sides. Once that was done, I pulled out Mark's Finest Papers Christmas In The Country and Holly Greetings then stamped my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto Mark's Finest Papers Corn Husk card stock before pulling out my prismacolor watercolor pencils and blender pen. Once my images were colored, I cut them all out for popping up with pop dots or pop up glue dots. My main image is layered onto scrap baja breeze & chocolate chip card stock, then distressed, and layered onto Basic Gray designer paper overlaid onto the die cut frame mat.
There is a lot of dimension in this frame. Here's a side view of the frame. For the final touches, I added various colors of ice stickles to highlight the snow, church, trees, leaves, and sky as well as Ranger Crystal Effects to the owls eyes to give some added dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day. Start off tomorrow on the MFP Blog for more inspiration!
