Sending Hugs

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made for my sister in law whom we just found out has advanced pancreatic cancer and not much longer to live.  I decided to use the Sending Hugs digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs.

After printing off the image and colored using both prismacolor and copic markers, I layered onto scrap card stock and leftover designer paper from my Celebrating You Cupcake card.  The only embellishments used were Stampin Up enamel hearts and a 3D glaze pen to highlight the word hugs.

Celebrating You Cupcake

Hello and welcome.  Sharing a card I've finally gotten made for a birthday I need to send out.  I've used the Let's Eat Cupcake digital image from Gerda Steiner Designs along with a long retired Stampin Up saying that's been collecting dust.

After printing my bear off and coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers, I then layered him before adding some enamel dots then colored spritzed mauve ink over him.  Once layered, and added to my card, I stamped the saying and layered it too.  For the final embellishments, I highlighted parts of the bear, cupcake, and saying using 3D glaze pens and added a small bow.

Popcorn Please?

Hello again and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I've made using the Popcorn Sprite digi from Stamps By Aurora Wings paired with some At The Movies digital paper from the now closed My Time Made Easy. 

After printing off the sprite, I then colored her using both prismacolor and copic markers before sponging Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks around her.  Once she was layered, I added some enamel dots from Stampin Up, a ribbon, and Jolee's movie ticket/popcorn stickers.  My final embellishment was highlighting parts of the Sprite and her dress using some Sakura 3D glaze pens.

My Sweet Boy

It's just been almost 5 weeks since we lost our sweet boy Pyro to feline lower urinary tract disease (LUTD).  As his vet said, it's a nasty disease.  It's still hard to talk about him right now.  I miss him so much.  He was my precious lap kitty and my lap feels so empty right now. 

Finally!!

Hello and welcome!  Yes you are seeing correctly....I've finally stamped and colored again. Whew!  Between the end of 2019 and all of the issues so far with 2020, I'm not sure how much more I can take.  Finally felt decent enough to try coloring and stamping again. 

First up is a bookmark I made for my hubby since we're getting a lot of reading done during this quarantine.  I used a couple of retired Stampin Up sets.  Many thanks to my friend Kelli for the Branch Out set.

Next up is a card I made using the never before used (NBUS) Lemonade Stand digi from Kinda Cute By Patricia Alvarez paired with the retired Stampin Up Watercolor Minis set.  I highlighted parts of the image using a Sakura 3D glaze pen, googlie eye, and a rocket ship brad.

Well then.....

...I know it's been a while since I've posted.  Between health issues, mental health issues, family issues, and having to put one of my fur babies to sleep; the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 have really stunk!!  I sure hope the rest of 2020 improves.  I am still hoping to get back to coloring and making some cards again soon.  Unfortunately, there's still a lot of stuff going on and it's not all pretty.

Warm Penguin Holiday Wishes

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a clean and simple Christmas card I made using some stamps from Impression Obsession  I started out by stamping the penguin from Warm Wishes in memento black ink onto white card stock then coloring using prismacolor markers.  Once that was done, I cut the panel down to size, then stamped the holly branches in both corners, colored them, and then stamped the saying.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass ink over and around the panel before layering and adding some red brads.  For my card, I pulled out a red scrap panel, cut down to size, added the black border then popped up the penguin panel.  As an after thought, I stamped the penguin again, colored then cut out before popping up over the original penguin for some added dimension.  I'm really happy with how this turned out since my migraines have been on overdrive again.  *sigh*
