Kitty In Flowers

Hello and welcome.  My mojo seems to have returned after taking a unauthorized vacation.  I'm sharing a card I made using the Cat In Flowers digital stamp from Aurora Wings

I printed the image at 3.5x5 inches since I'm still dealing with migraines to make it easier to color for me using prismacolor pencils with a blender pencil.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled some broken china distress ink around the edges before layering and adding gold brads.  I then pulled a scrap of turquoise card stock for a border behind the layered image.  Once the card was assembled, I added some gold cord and ice stickles to help highlight the flowers.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Melting Snowman Marshmallows

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made for a few challenges using an old image I've had for a while, and never used (NBUS) from Darcies.  Unfortunately in my recent move, I have either lost the actual wooden stamp or accidentally deleted the digital file from my computer.

After coloring the image using prismacolor markers, I stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and stormy sky distress inks around the image before layering.  I then dry embossed my card and border stripe using a snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder and my big shot before stippling garden green and real red inks over them.  After adding some silver brads and the image panel, I added some silver cord and pulled out a few bottles of ice stickles to finish my scene.

Little Mushroom Home

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I've made using an image from the Mushroom Lane collection I've had, and never used.  It image was originally from Cornish Heritage Farms which has now closed, however you can still get it from Riley and Company. The card was originally started a couple weeks ago, but with the death of my step-father, I didn't finish it until now.

After coloring it using both prismacolor and copic markers, I stippled tumbled glass and garden green inks around the image before layering, distressing and adding silver brads.  For the card, I used garden green card stock dry embossed using my big shot and a cuttlebug circle embossing folder then stippling garden green ink over it.  I then took a snippet of tangerine card stock, dry embossed it and stippled tangerine tango ink over that before applying to my card using glue dots.  My final touches were adding silver brads, punched flowers with silver ice stickle centers, and then highlighting areas of the main image using diamond and yellow ice stickles.

Little Mushroom Picnic And More Never Before Used Stuff

Hello, and again, welcome.  This last week has been hard.....and I mean REALLY hard.  On this last Tuesday, I found out my step-father had passed away in his sleep the night before.  So, to try and keep my mind occupied, I pulled out this little Mushroom Sprite from Aurora Wings

After coloring her using both prismacolor and copic markers, I very lightly stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink around the edges before layering onto scrap card stock.  I then pulled out some Queen & Co. brads I've had in my stash for years, and never used, added dimension before adding some Queen & Company brads I've had in my stash for years and never used (NBUS).  I then pulled out a piece of Japanese handmade washi designer paper I'd received as a RAK a few years back to add to a scrap white card base before adding a scrap of lavender card stock for a border.  After adding dimensionals, and popping up my layered image over the border, I pulled out snippets of pink card stock to make my own embellishments using Martha Stewart butterfly trio and hydrangea trio punches.  The final touch was diamond ice stickles to highlight the flower centers.

No Dumping Allowed

Hello and welcome.  We've had some wild weather here the last few days.  Love all of the rain, and snow, I can definitely do without the migraines and fibromyalgia flare up that came with it.  Consequently, it's taken me a few days to type up this blog post.  With that in mind, I'd like to share with you my husband's Valentine's Day card (he doesn't read my blog) I made using stamps from Impression Obsession.

I decided to go with a little "bathroom humor" and pull out my County Seat (K1014) stamp to use as the card's focal image because of the "no dumping" sign.  Once I had stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass, brushed corduroy and Stampin Up garden green inks around the panel before layering and adding some pewter brads.  I then stamped a background on the card base using stamps from Watercolor Butterflies (WP846) in memento ladybug ink.  I  then stamped the love image using memento potters clay ink.  Once that was done, I popped the layered image panel before adding a red ribbon and pewter heart charm.
