When I first saw this set, I thought "it has to be framed", not sure how, but it has to be in a frame.  With this in mind, I pulled out one of the frames I had picked up at the dollar store recently to make sure the colors I used looked good within, and outside, the framed area.  Then I stamped several images of the shell trio, and the boat once, from Silly Shells on scrap snow storm smooth card stock so I could cut those out to pop up on the frame later.  Then I stamped the main underwater scene out in memento tuxedo black ink onto snow storm smooth card stock, making sure the shell trio was included into the corners before coloring everything with prismacolor markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I stippled Tim Holtz tumbled glass, broken china, and Adirondack caramel inks over and around the underwater images to complete my scene.  Then it was time to start building the 3-D portion of my scene.

I started out by cutting out the additional images I had stamped onto the scrap paper then popped those up using pop dots.  Then taking my cuttlebug seashell/seahorse die I bought on clearance at Michael's several years ago, I ran it several times through my big shot using scrap paper to get several different sizes, and colors, of seahorses, seashells & starfish.  Then I took my Martha Stewart branch punch and punched several branches to use as "sea ferns" or "kelp" along with my underwater scene.  Finally, I took my Martha Stewart sand dollar punch to get a couple of extra starfish, and a fiskars crab punch, ran all of my die cut, or punched, pieces through the paper crimper and began adhering them using Ranger Crystal Accents or micro glue dots.  The final embellishment was some mini pearl stickers from Michael's and googlie eyes to the seahorses.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs and leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.  Have a great day.
