PIP Challenge 2632

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Sunbird Spark.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge.  For my card, I am using their retired set called Spooky.

I started out by stamping all of the images on to Copic© white card stock before coloring using Ohuhu markers.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled memento tuxedo black to darken things up a bit before layering and adding brads.  Digging through my stash of Halloween stuff, I found some black cat dimensional stickers I've had for years and hadn't used.  After adding one to my card, and some faux stitching to the top, my card was finished.

Have A Spooky Halloween

Hello and welcome.  Posting has been hit and miss lately since I've been dealing with both a migraine flare-up and a fibromyalgia one as well.   It's not been fun and I've been a tad grouchy.  However, I have two cards to share today that originally started out as ATC's but couldn't think straight from the migraine, so I pulled out pre-printed Conjurer of Dreams Bat Backgrounds, added them to orchid card stock and then adhered my ATC starters.  The ATC starters were combined in Photoshop© using the following Conjurer of Dreams sets: Bat BackgroundsMoon clip artFunny GravestonesHalloween Photo CornersHalloween QuotesBlack Silk and Purple Silk.  The final touches was some distressing, bling and ribbon to finish them off.

Halloween Spider Web

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a quick and easy Halloween card made using the Spiderweb digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs.  The image set comes with both a Halloween web AND a blank web so you can personalize the card - and it's a freebie!

After printing the image onto Neenah white card stock, I die cut a black spider using scraps and my Big Shot© before adhering it to a black card.  To finish it off, I added four black spider sequins instead of brads and a few black bling gems.  My card was finished in under 10 minutes so this is perfect for those mass produced Halloween cards.

Pick Your Poison

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an altered frame I made using some of the new Halloween/Goth images from Conjurer of Dreams.  It's taken me a bit longer to make, and photograph, than I had planned thanks to my migraines.

I started out by combining the following sets using Photoshop©: Grungy Abandoned BackgroundWednesdayWomen of the Night clip artAlice in HalloweentownHalloween Quotes, and Poe Clip Art before printing onto Neenah white card stock.  After I cut it down to size, I die cut several ghosts, spiders, web and "black/gray greenery with flowers" using scraps before adding them to my frame using glossy accents.  Once everything was dry, I added some black bling and spider sequins to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out especially since I've been having both migraine flare-ups and fibromyalgia flare-ups.  Making this definitely helped me try to focus on something besides the pain.

Foolish Mortals

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the Haunted Halloween set, and Spooky Eyes stencil, from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I've had these for a while now and just hadn't used them yet - until now.

I started out by stamping the hitch-hiking ghosts onto scrap Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled black dye ink around my "hitch-hikers" before setting aside.  Taking the stencil, I stenciled Opalite Sterling Frost ink that I've had for a decade, or more, and also hadn't used.  Once the stenciling was dry, I added my ghost layer, a black border using scraps before adding my layered sayings.  The final touch was adding some Thunderstorm bling.  I'm pretty happy with it even if it's a 6x6 card.

Halloween Tea Party And Haunts

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a not so spooky Halloween ATC made using the Well Read Haunts ATC backgrounds along with a few other sets from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started out by digitally layering the following Conjurer of Dreams sets:  Well Read Haunts, Alice in Wonderland Background/Clipart, Bokeh and Floral TeacupsFloral Borders and Corners clip artVictorian Maid clip art and Cute Dogs before printing and adding to the Black Silk and Aged Paper backgrounds. I liked how it turned out so I kept it clean/simple and didn't add any additional embellishments.

Dia de los Muertos

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card inspired by my mom (step-mom) who recently passed away.  For some reason, this card was hard for me to make.  I'm not sure why.  It wouldn't happen to be the stress, COVID or migraines? *roll eyes* My card is made using the Day of the Dead and Spookytown 2 sets from Conjurer of Dreams.

After combining the images in Photoshop©, I printed it out onto Neenah white card stock before layering, distressing, then inking, the edges and adding black brads. I then added it to my card using pop up glue dots before adding ribbon from my stash.  Taking some matching card stock scraps and my MS punches, I punched out several ferns & small flowers before running those through my paper crimper.  Once that was finished, I added them to the card using glossy accents before adding a couple of resin flowers I found in my stash.  The final touch was adding a touch of black stickles.

Witch Wisdom October 2024 Challenge

Hello and welcome.  First, Happy World Card-making Day!!!!  Second, today is my day to share inspiration for the Conjurer of Dreams October challenge.  Speaking of which, the first Conjurer of Dreams challenge has begun here on the blog.  This month's challenge is an Anything Goes or all about witches - good, bad, ugly, etc.  You know the drill.  Now, I'm normally not a witch person but I did manage to come up with some not-so-spooky projects using witches. So without further ado, I present my inspiration projects and any challenges entered.

A Little Graveyard Dancing

Hello and welcome.  I'd like to share with you a card I made using the Old West Graveyard and Old West Dancing Ghost Couple from Conjurer of Dreams.  When I'm dealing with a bad migraine, I love pre-colored images and Conjurer of Dreams has some fabulous ones.  Just print them out and assemble when I can.  Whenever I use the ghost images, I keep hearing the Haunted Mansion ballroom with the music "grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize".

After combining the images in Photoshop©, I added my own saying before printing on to Neenah white card stock then layered and added brads.  Once I had distressed the edges of one of the layers, I adhered it to my card base using glue dots before adding some black/vanilla gingham ribbon I've had for who knows how long.  Taking my Martha Stewart punches, paper crimper and brown/black scraps, I punched out enough elements to make my own floral spray again.  After assembling the elements, I added diamond (moon) and platinum ice stickles to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how my card turned out.  That's one less Halloween card I need to make.
