Similar But Different

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I made a week ago, just hadn't uploaded yet.  I've been dealing with a nasty migraine for a while now, and nothing seems to be helping; including coloring to try and focus on something other than my migraine.

After stamping both sets of images from the Little Things and Gopher It stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs.  Once I had stamped all of the images, I colored them using my Ohuhu before lightly blending some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink.  Taking my retired Stampin Up Watercolor Mini's, I created the "grass" by stamping the fern repeatedly in the following distress inks: mowed lawncrushed oliveforest moss before lightly stippling some walnut stain on some primas I've had for years to darken them up.  I dug through my stash of designer paper scraps and found this long retired GinaK Great Outdoors digital paper and added that to my card bases.  After die cutting some scrap card stock, I made my own floral spray before adding the dyed flowers.  Some bling, faux sewing, faux brads, 3D glaze pen and stardust stickles finish them off.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.  Close up's below:

A Little Bit Of Grumpy Valentine Love And A Castle

Hello and welcome. Today I have a couple of projects to share with you using the free ATC sheet from Conjurer of Dreams along with the following COD sets: Valentine Book Covers, Red SilkGrumpy Seniors Valentine Kit and Victorian Valentines (retired).  I've had them finished over a week now, but have been dealing with a nasty migraine.

I started out by breaking apart the ATC sheet using Photoshop©, along with my digital layers, before printing them out and adhering to scrap card stock.  Once all of my layering was was finished, I die several small flowers, and stems, from scrap card stock before "shaping" them using my hands and adhering using glossy accents.  The final touches were some red bling and flat backed pearls.  I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out.

I started out by combining the Gecko Galz fantasy image with the following Conjurer of Dreams sets: Warrior Women (retired), Castles With Dragon Clipart (retired), Red SilkBlack Silk and Photo Corners using Photoshop© before printing it out, layering and adding black brads.  My card base is dry embossed using an old Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder I ran through my Big Shot©.  After adding my layered image panel, I added some red cord along the side and several small gems.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Sheepski Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Andrea for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Sheepski's Retro Rocket digital set.

After printing the images out onto Neenah white card stock, I colored them using my Ohuhu markers before stippling Tim Holtz chipped sapphireaged mahogany distress inks and Stampin Up basic gray dye ink to create my "space" background for the images.  I then added some tiny "star" confetti before adding Ohuhu's glitter metallic marker pens to highlight the planet and rocket flame.  The final touches were a black organdy ribbon and highlighting the "windows" of the spaceships using a clear 3D glaze pen.

PIP Challenge 2601

Hello, Happy New Year and welcome. Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge.

My card is using pre-colored images from the Too Cute For Christmas digital set.  After combining the images, I printed it out onto Neenah white card stock before layering and adding to a dry embossed card.  I then blended some left over Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around the globe before adding some faux stitches in the corners.  Embellishments were kept simple, just some flat back pearls and a small blue bow.  Pulling out a retired The Cat's Pajamas (store now closed) set, I stamped my saying on scrap card stock before adding it to my card.  I'm really happy with how this turned out and will be adding it to my Christmas card stash for 2026.

Love You A Latte

Hello and welcome.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with family and/or friends.  Today I'd like to share with you a slimline card I made a couple of weeks back and just hadn't had time to post it before now using the I Love You A Latte digital set from Angie Blom Designs.  I've had this digital image printed for some time and just never used it before now (NBUS).

I started out by printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink that was leftover from another project before layering and adding some sequins to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out especially since I've been dealing with this rotten flu bug still.  A word of advice.....don't get it!

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge. My card this week was made using one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add On.  My husband also loves these little guys so that's a plus.

I started out by stamping all of my images in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring them using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I fussy cut out the additional images I had stamped, layered my image panel before adding some faux brads and popped up images.  After I dry embossed my card base, I added a couple of Jolee's snowflake stickers I had in my stash before adding star dust stickles to finish it off.

Pucker Up

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a New Year's card made with one of Whimsy's stamp sets called What the?!   Now I love a good snarky card, and stamp set, and this one rocks!

I started out by stamping the image/sayings in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Have I said how much I love these markers??  Well, I do.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I outlined the labels using a gold Copic marker before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then lightly stippled leftover Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink (leftover from another project) around the main image.  My background was created using the "Happy New Year" saying from the set in Stampin Up pacific pointe ink.  The final touches was adding a bit of gold bling to finish the card off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  My husband loves it.  Moral of the card, don't drink too much this holiday season or drive under the influence.

A Frightfully Good Halloween

Hello and welcome.  Second post today so if you're looking for my puppies birthday card, please scroll down one.  Thank you.

I'd like to share with you a Halloween card, plus ATC, made using images from Conjurer of Dreams images. I liked how the card turned out so I made an ATC to go with it.  I originally started out by combining the following COD sets using Photoshop©: Victorian GraveyardVictorian Dancing GhostsEdwardian Bride & Groom GhostsFunny GravestonesYou're Driving Me Batty clip artAged Papers and Halloween Photo Corners, plus my saying before printing onto Neenah white card stock.  Once I had everything printed out, I layered onto some navy/black card stock before distressing the edges, adding brads and setting aside.  I then stenciled a spiderweb background on my card base using Tim Holtz picket fence distress ink before adding my graveyard panel using some pop up glue dots.  The only embellishments added was some spider sequins for the corners, crinkle ribbon I found in my stash and tiny gemstones for stars.

For the accompanying ATC, I printed the same image (only smaller) then layered using the scraps from my card. Made a small bow using the scraps from my card, added the spider sequins and gems like before to finish it off.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

 Sponsored by Newton's Nook
Newton

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge. My project this week uses the retired Paradise Palms and Newton's Seashell sets.

I started out by stamping everything using various colors of Memento ink before coloring my kitty/shell using Ohuhu markers.  Once that was finished, I stippled chipped sapphire, broken china distress inks and caramel dye ink before layering and adding some sand dollar brads I've had for years.  After adding the layered image panel to my card, I adhered a gold lighthouse charm using glossy accents, bling and two punched blue crabs to my scene.  Some twine finishes the card off.

My Concern

Hello and welcome.  I have another fall inspired card to share with you today using some of the new fall images from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started out by layering Autumn Vibes with the Black SilkPhoto Corners and Fall Silk backgrounds before adding my saying then printing onto Neenah white card stock.  I also printed a second Autumn Vibes background to use as part of my card front.  After adding some bling in various places, my card was finished.  Really simple and easy to do.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship and for providing images for the DT to use.  My card this week uses their Dolly Sleepyhead (possibly retired) image.

After printing the image/saying out, I colored it using Ohuhu markers before layering and adding faux brads.  I then added a ribbon with a clip to the side and some sequins to finish it off.  I'm really happy with it especially since I haven't been feeling the best.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge.
My project this week is an ATC using Lawn Fawn's Flamingo Together mini set.  I love this mini because it reminds me so much of days at the Monterey Aquarium, and Chaffee Zoo, when my kids were little.  The whole ATC is made using scraps.

Using scraps, I stamped the main image panel, colored the flamingos before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then created the "beach sand" by dotting 3 different colors of Copic markers.  The final touch was a small floral spray, punched from scraps, with bling centers.
