You're How Old????

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing for Gerda today, so I'd like to share a card I made for a few challenges using Halloween images in a funny way.  

 

I started out by grabbing a Spooky Tree  background I had from Conjurer of Dreams I had leftover from another project then adhered it to a black card base.  Taking my Ghost stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs, I stamped all of my ghosts and saying in memento tuxedo black on Hammermill white card stock.  Once I had the ghosts "colored" using my markers, I fussy cut them out then adhered them to the spooky card base.  I then layered my saying onto scrap black card stock, then adhered that to the card using pop dots.  I then added some purple organdy ribbon, black/purple sequins and some clay ghosts to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.  This card would be perfect for Halloween or snarky birthdays.  Unfortunately, Gerda has decided to no longer create stamps and is currently offering a 20% discount on stock currently in the store.  Use the code:  GOODBYESTAMPS20

Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge #55

 

 

Hello and welcome.   Today begins a new challenge at Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge where the theme is always Anything Goes Fantasy (gnomes, fairies, unicorns, dragons, etc).  My card this challenge goes with an Alice In Wonderland theme.

 

I started out by combining the following Conjurer of Dreams image sets: Drink Me, Wonderland Background and Alice Clipart, Birds Clipart, Butterfly Clipart, Spring Summer Photo Corners,and the Pink Lace Background.   Once I had everything combined, I printed it out onto Hammermill white card stock, layered and added some rose brads.  The only other embellishments added was pink ribbon and some stardust stickles highlighting parts of the image.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love Challenge #32

 

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenge.  As always the BEWAS (Birthday, Engangement, Wedding, Anniversary, Sympathies) theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Youth Day (kids/teens).  For my card, the BEWAS is birthday for kids/teens using digital stamps from Sweet November Stamps.  

 

I started out by combining the following SNS digital sets using Photoshop©: Aliens vs Robots QT3, Aliens vs Robots Alien 1 and Aliens vs Robots Background Builder/Sentiment Pack before printing out onto Hammermill white card stock.  I then pulled out my Ohuhu markers and colored the whole scene before lightly stippling memento tuxedo black ink to fill in space before adding some old Stampendous Class-A-Peel diamond stickers for stars.  Once all of that was done, I went and layered the image and added some brads before highlighting parts of my scene using 3D glaze pens.

Heart's Quest Shaped Cards and Tags #20

Hello and welcome.  A little behind in posting.  Yesterday began a new challenge at Heart's Quest Shaped Cards and Tags challenges and this month's challenge will run until Nov 20, 2026.  For my project, downloaded, then printed, a free ghost template from Monday Mandala before fussy cutting it out to create a cute Halloween card.  Once I had the card cut out, I added some shading to the folds using my Ohuhu markers before adding some antique linen distress ink along the edges to "age" the ghost a bit.  The only embellishments added was a Jolee's Halloween trick-or-treat bag sticker from my stash, googlie eyes and a die cut bat.  I'm happy with how this turned out especially since I've been having a lot of migraines, and fibromyalgia flares, lately.

A Little Mixed Media For Christmas

 

  

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing this month over at the Creative Artiste Mixed Media challenge blog.  Let me say how thrilled I am to be guest designing for them.   For my project this month, I decided to make an ornament for our Christmas tree using items from my stash I bought at Dollar Tree©, Michael's© a 1-2 years ago and hadn't used yet.

 

I started out by cleaning the clear ornament before adding some batting to the inside before adhering the child with snowball using Ranger glossy accents.  Once I had that done, I then added the "pine trees"  At this point, I decided to add some snow-tex paint directly onto the batting to help give it more texture.  After painting, and adhering, a Dollar Tree© wooden snowman, I dug out the "mom with presents" and added her to my scene.  While all of that dried, I added some snow-tex to the top of the ornament before adding a small foam bird I've had for years.  A ribbon hanger, stickles and confetti "snow" finished my ornament off.  My mixed media elements are: snow-tex, clear ornament, ribbon, bottle brush pine trees, figurines, stickles, batting, foam bird and confetti snow.

Just Because You're Special

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a cute little gift card holder I made using the Hippo With Butterfly stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs.  

 

I started out by stamping the images/saying in memento tuxedo black ink using my MISTI© onto Hammermill white card stock.  Once that was finished, I colored the hippo/butterfly using my Ohuhu markers before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then lightly stippled stormy sky distress ink then added some die cut flowers/stems and a punched butterfly.  As a final touch, I added stickles to the flowers, bling to the butterflies and a small butterfly "flight trail" using a black gel pen.  The final touch was adding a gift card to the inside.

World Goat Day

We HERD today is World Goat Day and we couldn’t GOAT without celebrating! Welcome to our IG hop and we’re excited to share our goat themed cards and project with you. We hope you’ll hop along with us, learn fun and fascinating goat facts and check out all the crafty creations! Did you know goats are natural weed control experts?  Let’s face it, goats are the best at weeding! Farmers often use goats to clear out unwanted plants and weeds from fields. They’re like the eco-friendly lawnmowers, munching on everything from grass to dandelions.  Goats have even been used as wildfire prevention and "mowing" overgrown historic cemeteries.

 

My card today is using a long forgotten There She Goes (now closed) stamp set called Tastes Like Chicken along with the Hot N Spicy stamp set from MFP Stamp Shop (now closed).  After stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored everything using my Ohuhu markers before stenciling the cloud background.   As an afterthought, I added some twine and adhered a chili pepper charm to the card.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made a couple weeks ago.  It's taken me this long to get it photographed and uploaded.  Now I just absolutely love this Functioning Chi Chi stamp set from Unity Stamps. 

 

Using my MISTI©, I started out by stamping everything onto Copic© card stock in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once I was finished with coloring, I layered it and added some red brads before adhering the panel to a dry embossed card.  The final touches were, stippling fired brick distress ink around the edges, a long forgotten red prima with large bling center and then a couple more bling off to the left.

I started out by stamping all of the images on to Copic© white card stock before coloring using Ohuhu markers.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled memento tuxedo black to darken things up a bit before layering and adding brads.  Digging through my stash of Halloween stuff, I found some black cat dimensional stickers I've had for years and hadn't used.  After adding one to my card, and some faux stitching to the top, my card was finished.

A Farming Hello

 

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using an image I've had printed out for some time but hadn't used yet.  For my card, I've used the following Conjurer of Dreams sets: Rugged, Anne of Green Gables, Rustic Wood Backgrounds, Aged Papers, Photo Corners, and Wheat Field.

 

Once I had the combined image printed out, I distressed the edges and layered before adding some brads and walnut stain ink sponged around the edges.  I then adhered the panel to a cocoa card before adding some bling and wood saying/stickers from Dollar Tree©.  As an afterthought, I decided to distress the card base edges and sponge more walnut stain distress ink around the edges.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of pick me up cards I made to mail out.  First up is a digital image from Impression Obsession (now closed).  After printing it off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using Castle Arts pencils before lightly stippling Stormy Sky distress ink for the sky.  I then added some tiny die cut flowers, faux stitching and stickles to finish it off.

Next up is a card I made using the Hanging Plants (retired) set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. I started out by stamping all of my images onto Hammermill white card stock and then coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered the image panel and added some white brads. The finishing touches where two tiny butterflies, some stickles to the flower center's and the saying popped up using pop dots.
