Pucker Up

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a New Year's card made with one of Whimsy's stamp sets called What the?!   Now I love a good snarky card, and stamp set, and this one rocks!

I started out by stamping the image/sayings in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Have I said how much I love these markers??  Well, I do.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I outlined the labels using a gold Copic marker before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then lightly stippled leftover Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink (leftover from another project) around the main image.  My background was created using the "Happy New Year" saying from the set in Stampin Up pacific pointe ink.  The final touches was adding a bit of gold bling to finish the card off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  My husband loves it.  Moral of the card, don't drink too much this holiday season or drive under the influence.

In My Heart

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using one of the images I had colored while my husband was in the hospital.  He is slowly making progress.  Slowly.  My card uses a retired Creative Worship digital image called Melody of Love.

I started out by printing it onto Neenah white card stock before coloring using my Castle Arts Watercolor pencils and a blender pencil before lightly blending some left over tumbled glass distress ink from a previous project using a blender brush before layering and adding silver brads.  I then added it to a dry embossed green card before creating my own floral spray underneath using Martha Stewart punches and a paper crimper. The final touch was color spritzing some green galore ink and adding some bling to the flower centers on the main image panel.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

General Eagle Eye and the Battle Hymn of the Republic

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card using a few images from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started out by scanning sheet music from "Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory" before layering that onto a Blue Silk background and adding Photo Corners.  I then added two leather pouches from the Steampunk Junk Journal and tucked them into the photo corners before adding General Eagle Eye and a glaze pen to finish it off.  I'm happy with how it turned out and is perfect for sending to a veteran or for a Fourth of July card.

One Cup At A Time

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using one of the stamps I purchased from Unity Stamp Co during one of their sales. These last few months have been really rough.  Between losing my mom, getting COVID again, bronchitis and a host of other issues, this Coffee is Not Enough perfectly sums everything up.

I started out by stamping everything in memento tuxedo black ink onto Copic X-Press It card stock using my MISTI© before coloring her up using Copic© markers. Once the coloring was finished, I lightly blended some Tim Holtz milled lavender distress ink around her to help lighten the white spaces before layering and adding brads.  As an afterthought, I ran a paper distresser along the edges of the bottom layer before adhering the image panel to a lavender card.  The only embellishments added were some purple sequins, silk flowers, lavender bling and a touch of white gel pen to her eyes. I'm pretty happy with how the card turned out especially with how I've been feeling.

A Model T Father's Day

Hello and welcome.  I've had a bit of a rough patch lately with my migraines and other health issues but still wanted to make Father's Day cards for my brothers-in-law so I pulled out a pre-colored image, and background, from Conjurer Of Dreams.  Both my husband, and brothers-in-law are car enthusiasts so this is the perfect card for them.

I started out by printing the Timeless background  on Neenah white card stock before printing the Model T images.  Once I had them printed, and cut down to size, I layered it onto scrap card stock before using a paper distresser along the edges of both the image panel and the card base.  The final touch was popping the image panel up and stippling some faded jeans ink along the edges to finish it off.

A Little Envelope Art

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an envelope I decorated for Colorado Craft Company's mail art not a lost art.  I pulled out a couple of the smaller sets, plus a larger one, I received in a destash box from @tjcarddesigns to decorate my envie.  (Art Is, Be Creative, and The Artist) I stamped all of the images using memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using Castle Arts watercolor pencils and a blender pencil.

Stained Glass Mushroom

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you another card made using a couple of Gecko Galz digital products: Stained Glass Beauty and their free digital paper pack Let That Shitake Go when you spend $10 in the shop this month.  Now that's a win win in my book.

I started out by cutting out the mushroom panel from the Stained Glass Beauty, layered it on scrap card stock, and added some red mini brads before setting aside.  Taking one of the the Let That Shitake Go, I printed it as a 4x6 panel before adhering it to a black A2 card base.  After I added a strip of scrap black card stock, I then adhered the stained glass panel at an angle using glue dots.  The final touches were a small red bow and some poinsettia dew drops from my stash.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out since my migraine is not going away, even though the concussion issues have mostly resolved.

A Feisty Racoon

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made using a set from The Rabbit Hole Designs and embossing folder from Momenta that I received as gifts.

I started out by embossing a basic gray card using the wood grain embossing folder from Momenta then stippling Tim Holtz weathered wood distress ink over the embossed images.  Next, I stamped the racoon, and sayings, in memento tuxedo black ink then colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I stippled some Stampin Up going grey (retired) ink around the racoon using my paper pouncers.  I then layered the colored image, added brads and using a paper distresser, I distressed the bottom panel of the layered image.  After adhering it using some pop up glue dots, I highlighted the mug heart using a red 3D glaze pen as well as white gel pen "dots" to the eyes.  The final touch was adding some grey dew drops underneath the image.  I'm really happy with how the card turned out since Mother Nature has not been "playing" nice with the weather lately (love the rain/hate the wind) so my migraines are once again out of control.  It's reached the point of try to focus on something or cry since nothing has been helping them.

Life Happens

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I started earlier in December, but never finished until the New Year's weekend and then just now photographed.  I rediscovered this cute kitten digital image from Gracielle Designs' Sweet Tea in my to be used digital folder.  Don't you just want to give this little kitten a hug??

I started out by combining the image, and saying, in a watermark program then printed it out onto Neenah white card stock before coloring it using Castle Arts pencils then layered it and added some blue brads.  Once that was finished, I stamped the card using a long retired Like It A Latte wood block stamp set in pacific pointe ink.  Once the background was done, I stippled some more pacific pointe ink around the edges before adding my layered image.  As an afterthought, I spritzed some pacific pointe marker to help fill in the white spaces around my main image.  After adding some winter blues sequins from Picket Fence Studios, the card was finished.

Gnome Sweet Gnome

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card using an image I've colored to keep from going crazy over the last few weeks while my husband has been watching the news.  The image is from Impression Obsession and is called Home Sweet Gnome and is part of the Gary Robertson digital line.

I started out by printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock before coloring it using both Lyra and Castle Arts pencils.  Once the image was colored, I layered it and added vintage brads before adhering it to a coffee colored card base.  The only other embellishment used was crystal ice stickles and a clear Sakura 3D glaze pen highlighting parts of the images.

Pool Party!

Hello and welcome again.  Now I'd like to share with you a card I stamped with this cute little set called Penguin Summer (which is no longer available) from The Cats Pajamas

After stamping the images and saying onto white card stock, I colored them using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering the saying.  For the penguin images, I fussy cut them out so they could be added to a card with pool water designer paper that I've had for years in my stash.  Once the penguins were added, I added the layered saying.  Since I didn't have matching brads in the color I wanted, I made my own using scrap card stock and a MS glue pen.  The final touches were white organdy ribbon and Sakura 3D glaze pens to highlight parts of the saying and images.

Warm Penguin Holiday Wishes

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a clean and simple Christmas card I made using some stamps from Impression Obsession  I started out by stamping the penguin from Warm Wishes in memento black ink onto white card stock then coloring using prismacolor markers.  Once that was done, I cut the panel down to size, then stamped the holly branches in both corners, colored them, and then stamped the saying.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass ink over and around the panel before layering and adding some red brads.  For my card, I pulled out a red scrap panel, cut down to size, added the black border then popped up the penguin panel.  As an after thought, I stamped the penguin again, colored then cut out before popping up over the original penguin for some added dimension.  I'm really happy with how this turned out since my migraines have been on overdrive again.  *sigh*
