Today's featured set can be used a couple of different ways - clean and simple or on an elaborate card.  My first card is clean and simple just using some Die Cuts With A View Far East designer paper as part of a background, then using the chopsticks to stamp a panel before adding the stamped take out box.  Due to the migraine I've been dealing with, the card took longer than it should have to put together.

The second card is more elaborate using some handmade green/gold designer paper, die cut green/gold fern leaves, brads, gold cord, ribbon, charm, and two popped up fortune cookies for extra dimension.  I also color spritzed a hunter green marker over the take out box for a little extra something.  I like how this one came out so much, I'm entering it into this months Virginia's View Die Cut challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.

Come on back tomorrow for more creativity.

Thank You Flowers

Since I'm still trying to get my stamping mojo back from taking care of my hubby for a few months from his total hip replacement, then my own migraines going into overdrive, I decided to try my hand at Clean and Simple cards (CAS) with the Less Is More One Layer challenge.  I was able to make a couple of them for my daughter to use as thank you cards for gifts she's received for graduation.

The first card uses stamps from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company's sets called Great Flowers and the Nature's Brushstrokes mini along with various memento dew drop inks.  The second card uses Nature's BrushstrokesBig Cupcake mini, and Marsh Silhouettes along with the memento dew drops.

Today I am sharing a card made with the new Oriental Joy set combined with some Prima Meadowlark designer paper.  After stamping my main image in memento black and coloring with prismacolor markers, I stippled tumbled glass distress ink around the edges before layering, adding some white baby brads and silver ice stickles to highlight some of the blossoms.

I then stamped and sponged a lavender border using the Blossom Branch mini set received free in the April Oriental Swap on SpeedyTV.  Although the April swap is finished, there are still swaps open to participate in and receive a free stamp set of your own too!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day and don't forget to stop by the rest of the design team blogs to leave some love for a chance to win today's featured set.
