PIP 2114

 Sponsored by Newton's Nook

Newton

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week we are being sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs.  Today my card uses the Newton's Melon set and the matching found here.

I started out by stamping my main image twice - once onto scrap paper to die cut later - in memento tuxedo black.  I then stamped the saying directly over my image before coloring everything using Castle Arts pencils.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I die cut one of the kitty images and set aside.  After layering my colored image panel, I added some white brads before adding to my card base.  Taking the die cut image, I popped it up using dimensionals before creating a flora spray using MS punches and crystal affects to adhere them to the card.  Crystal ice stickles finishes off my flowers.

I Am The Resurrection And The Life

Hello and welcome.  I'm playing along with the Virtual Stamp Night challenges over at Splitcoaststampers as my health is allowing.  The card I'd like to share with you is one I made for the challenges as well as other blog challenges. The image is from the Foliage Cross Mini Set from Gracielle Design I've for some time and never used (NBUS).

After I combined the image and sentiment by using a watermark program, I printed it off before coloring using Castle Arts pencils.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink using my Picket Fence Blending Brushes before layering and adding brads.  I then took the layered image and added it to the card using glue dots.  The final touch was taking a Sakura 3D black glaze pen and going back over the saying so it stood out more.

Frost-Tea And Succulent Sunshine

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I made to try and keep my mind off another migraine and still feeling like garbage from COVID.

The first card features a digital image from the now closed Craftin Desert Divas stamp shop called Frost-Tea that I've had for some time and just never used (NBUS).  I'm a tea drinker at heart although I do love a good cup of cocoa, with marshmallows, and coffee from time to time.  I started off by printing the image onto Neenah white card stock and coloring using Castle Art pencils before stippling Mowed Lawn distress ink using my Picket Fence Studio blending brushes.  Can I say just how much I LOVE their blending brushes!!  After I was done stippling, I layered the image before adding some green button brads I bought on an after Christmas clearance a few years back.  For the card, I dry embossed the card, and border, before stippling more mowed lawn ink then adhering my layered image using glue dots.  I then pulled out a Making Memories Noteworthy felt flower I've had for years (NBUS) and adhered it on the border with glue dots.  After adding my own "greenery" by punching scrap card stock using my Martha Stewart fern/pine spring punches, I realized the brad in the center of my felt flower was a different color, so I changed the color by using a green Copic marker.  As an afterthought, I highlighted parts of the image using Castle Arts gel pens. Inside the card is stamped: Glad Tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year using a Hero Arts stamp I received as a RAK.

My second card was inspired by the Art Nudge 90 colors and this week's Inspiration 849 challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  I started out by creating a mini slimline white card before stamping images from my You Are My Sunshine (retired) set from Picket Fence Studios in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring them using Castle Arts colored pencils.  After stamping the saying, my clean and simple card was finished.  I'm REALLY happy with how this turned out.

Lucky Me

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a St. Patty's Day card made for my in-laws.  I pulled out an old Stampin Up set called Lucky Me, that's long retired, I've had since 2000.  In fact, I tried to sell the set when my husband and I moved 6yrs ago, and it didn't sell.  Must have been meant to be for me to keep it.

I started out by stamping the saying and image onto scrap white card stock before coloring it using Castle Art pencils.  I then layered stippled some glorious green ink around the edges using my Picket Fence blending brushes before layering and adding some small white brads.  My card is made using Stampin Up card stock along with some shamrock designer paper I've had for years and never used.  I'm not even sure who made the designer paper since the pad was "disassembled" during the move.  After adding a small stamped border strip, I adhered the layered panel using glue dots before adding some shamrock ribbon from my stash.  As an afterthought, I lightly stippled some green galore ink around the saying and images before adding some green sequins using Ranger glossy accents to adhere them.

Dear Santa Always Jingle

Hello and welcome.  Today I'm playing along with a few challenges over at Splitcoaststampers, among others, using a couple of my snarky Christmas stamps from Impression Obsession.

For my first card, I stamped the penguin from  Warm Wishes and colored using prismacolor markers before stippling Tim Holtz fired brick ink around the edges.  The Jingler saying is then stamped also in memento tuxedo black.  After layering, and adding brads, I took a black artist pen and added the faux sewing.  Taking my card, I then dry embossed it using a Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and stippled more ink around the edges.  I then took some scrap card stock and die cut my never before used (NBUS) Santa hat before stippling leftover ink around the edges and adding using glue dots.  The small pom on the end is added using micro pop dots.  The finishing touches were a small bow, white gel pen to the eyes and some diamond ice stickles.

My second card today also uses the Warm Wishes penguin.  This time I paired him with some scrap gingham blue designer paper and the Dear Santa saying also from Impression Obsession.  After my stamping and coloring were finished, I stippled some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around the edges before layering and adding some small button brads.  The layered image panel was then added to my card with with the gingham paper.  My final embellishments were a white gel pen to highlight the eyes, white/silver ribbon and some gin and tonic sequins.

You Are Youer Than You

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made for one of the Teapot Tuesday challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.  Since the challenge was to take inspiration from the Sylvia Beach Hotel's rooms that are designed around books and their authors.  I chose the Dr Seuss room.  I read so many Dr Seuss books growing up and then read them to my own children that I just had to make a card based on his books.

I started out by printing my image onto Neenah white card stock then colored using Castle Art pencils before lightly stippling some Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink that I had remaining on my brush from another project.  Once  that was finished, I layered it, added brads and then as an afterthought, I used my fingernail to distress the edges of the image panel before adding it to the card.  I then added some ribbon, gold cord and prima flowers with a bling center to finish it off.

Hello Kitty

Hello and welcome.  Today is my final guest designer spot for the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge and this week we are being sponsored by Beccy's Place.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this challenge.

I started out by printing off the Fat Cat image onto Neenah white card stock before coloring using Castle Art pencils.  Once my coloring was done, I blended some Tim Holtz tattered rose and Stampin Up going grey inks around the image before layering and adding brads.  I wasn't quite happy with how the layered image looked so I took a fingernail and distressed the edges of the bottom layer before stamping my saying from the now closed MFP Stamp Shop in memento black.  I then added it to a plain chocolate chip card using dimensionals before adding some glossy accents to the eyes, primas and some bling I've had for years as the final touches.  As an afterthought, I added some diamond ice stickles to the heart on the cat's collar.

Love, Hearts, Buttons and Bows

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing for the new Monday Greetings challenge over at the Outlawz.  For this challenge, the theme is Buttons and Bows and we are being sponsored by All Dressed Up digital stamps.  I would like to thank them for providing the Love Hearts image for the design team; which is a new one (NBUS) for me.

After printing my image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil before stippling real red ink around the edges then layering.  After adding some baby button brads, I then added it to my card base.  My card is made out of real red card stock with some dusty K&Co designer paper I've had in my stash for years and not used.  I then stamped my saying in memento tuxedo black and punched it out using my dusty Stampin Up oval punches.  Finally, I added a little red bow.

You're A Classic

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made for my future brother-in-law's birthday using a fairly new stamp set called Oil Always Love You from The Cats Pajamas that I just haven't used until now.  It's ending up being a belated birthday card thanks to health issues and just not having the energy to much of anything.

I started out by stamping the main image twice (once on card stock and once on scrap designer paper) in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring parts of the image using Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil.  Once the coloring was finished, I added some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink and Stampin Up going grey ink using my blender brushes from Picket Fence Studios before layering and adding brads.  I then took the stamped designer paper images and cut those out so I could paper piece them onto the blank areas of my colored image panel.  For the card, I pulled out some scrap vintage clock face designer paper I had bought at Costco years ago and hadn't finished using up yet, added that to an artichoke card before blending Tim Holtz forest moss distress ink around the edges using my blender brushes.  I then took a scrap strip of Close To My Heart designer paper, layered it onto some chocolate card stock, then added to the card.  After stamping the saying onto the layered image panel, I added that to the card using dimensionals.  The only other embellishments were highlighting parts of the rabbits face using a black artist pen then some dew drops as the cars hub caps and some in the bottom right corner of the card.

Hearts And Waking Up

Hello and welcome.  Today I have a couple of cards that have taken me a bit to finish due to health issues.  I decided to keep both pretty much clean and simple (CAS) as I could.

The first one uses a never before used digital image from Whimsy Stamps called But Coffee First.  After printing the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil before cutting down to size and layering.  Once layered, I added brads then added to a pacific pointe card stamped with a retired Stampin Up splatter wheel.  I then took a cotton ball and rubbed some amethyst chalk over all the remaining white part of the image.  For embellishments, I highlighted parts of the image/saying using Sakura 3D glaze pens and Ranger glossy accents for the "coffee".

Challenges entered:

My second card today features a retired, and dusty, Stampin Up set called Sheltering Tree that was originally started last week for the SCS Inspiration Challenge (also taking WAY too long to finish).  I started out by stamping the tree base using Memento Cocoa ink before stamping the leaves in Memento Cottage Ivy and Bamboo Leaves inks.  The hearts are stamped in Memento Ladybug ink. Once the main image panel was stamped, I blended Stampin Up Bashful Blue and Memento Cottage Ivy ink around the edges for the sky and grass using Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Blender Brushes before layering and adding brads.  My card is stamped in Stampin Up Real Red ink with the same ink blended around the edges of the card.  The only other embellishments are some red organdy ribbon and some red epoxy hearts (added to the tree "fruit" and "flowers").

I'm really happy with how both of these turned out since I was making them feeling like "garbage".  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day, stay safe and please wear a mask!!

We All Have Magic

Hello and welcome.  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Pammies Inky Pinkies challenge post, please scroll down one.

Today is Anything But A Card day over at Catch The Bug and I'd like to share with you a journal I made using the Harry Potter Collage I've wanted to use for some time, just never have gotten to it.  Whenever the back to school sales start, I always try to get a few of the composition notebooks to decorate and give as gifts - this one will be going to my daughter.

After printing my image off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before cutting down and layering.  For the journal, I dusted off some designer paper I had bought at Costco years ago and have used only a couple of sheets out of.  Once the designer paper was glued to the notebook, I added my layered image before die cutting flowers using my big shot and a Sizzix die I received as a RAK from a friend.

Flowers And Bears

Hello and welcome.  Second post from me today.  For my Pammies Inky Pinkies post, please scroll down one.  As I type, we are finally getting some rain and snow in the nearby mountains here in Central California.  Hopefully as the week goes one, the rain predictions will come true.  In the meantime, I'd like to share a couple of cards with you made with a stamp set from The Cats Pajamas I during their Black Friday sale called Nature's Hello..

I started out by stamping my images in memento black onto a Hammermill white scrap then colored it using prismacolor and copic markers before stippling tumbled glass and garden green ink around it.  Once that was done, I layered the main image then dusted off my Crop-A-Dial and some eyelets I received as a RAKAfter adding the eyelets, I stamped the main image for card background using spiced marmalade distress ink. The border was stamped in summer sun.  I then added the layered image before die cutting my sun out twice from scraps; once in summer sun and once in only orange.  After adding the die cut suns using dimensionals, I dusted off my clear epoxy circle stickers and added one to the suns center.  The final touch was crystal ice stickles to the flower centers.

My second card I chose to keep clean and simple (CAS).  Using the same stamp set, I stamped the main image repeatedly in a row in memento tuxedo black ink.  After coloring using prismacolor and copic markers, I layered it once onto a pacific pointe scrap, added the layered image to the card before stamping the saying also in memento black.  I received the saying as RAK and I'm not sure what Stampin Up set it came from.

Celebrating You With Ice Cream

Hello and welcome.  Today is the new release day for Bugaboo Stamps and we're celebrating it over at Catch The Bug.  The image I'm sharing is called Knobby Knees Ice Cream Scoop and can be found here.

After printing my image onto white card stock, I pulled out some unloved Die Cuts With A View Sweet Stack designer paper and added that to a lavender card.  I then took my image, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before sponging some lavender lace dye ink around the edges and adding some purple brads.  Since I let the designer paper control my color choices, I decided to give the image, and card, the feel of an ice cream shop in the 50's or 60's.  For the saying, I pulled out a long retired Stampin Up set then stamped it in memento tuxedo black dye ink.  Once done, I added it to the card using dimensionals before adding a never before used purple gingham ribbon.  The final embellishment was to take Sakura 3D glaze pens to highlight parts of the image.

Pigs, Blessings And Friends

Hello and welcome.  I'd like to share another clean and simple card (CAS) I made using a new and never before used (NBUS) digital stamp from Sherry West Art called The Three Little Oinks.  I had originally planned on making a layered card with  this image, however, after cutting the paper down to size I realized it would make a perfect CAS card on it's own.  After coloring it using prismacolor pencils and a blender pencil, I took one of my stipple brushes and lightly stippled left over ink around the image.  My final touch was stamping the saying from an old, long retired, Stampin Up set called Wishes Awash.

Well Shit

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made using my dusty Curious Guinea Pig E13748 from Impression Obsession along with the Well Shit B12218 saying from their new summer release.  The look on the guinea pig along with the saying pretty much sums up how my week has gone so far; especially with my migraines.

After stamping the guinea pig in memento black, I colored it using prismacolor and copic markers before stamping the saying also in memento black.  I then "created" the grass by taking several green copic markers and "dotting" them.  Taking a stipple brush, I then added some tumbled glass distress ink around the image before layering onto a white card with some dusty Recollections All Seasons designer paper.  My only embellishments were some green enamel dots and blue/green bow.

Some Sarcasm And Sass

Hello and welcome.  I just LOVE this stamp saying from Impression Obsession. The card I'm sharing today is more of a clean and simple design with a few extra touches.

I started out by stamping the eyelashes in Tim Holtz chipped sapphire distress ink then sponged navy dye ink around the edges.  After stamping the Flirty Eyelashes on white card stock, I added the Sarcasm and Sass saying before layering and adding some never before used (NBUS) eyelets from my stash.  I then spritzed some navy ink over and around the images before adding to my eyelash stamped card base.  I then highlighted parts of the eyelashes and saying using Sakura blue and silver gel pens.  My final embellishment is a small navy blue bow.

Bearing Gifts 2018 and Some More Never Before/Rarely Used Stuff (NBUS/RBUS)

Hello and welcome!!!  As we finish the final countdown until Christmas, I'm rushing to finish Christmas cards I'm sending out.  (Note to self: start making them in January - again.  **sigh**)

Today I'd like to share a card made using one of my all time favorite stamps period.  It's an old retired one from Stampendous (2004) called Wise Siamese.  After stamping the image in memento black ink then coloring with copic markers, I sponged some Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink and Stampin Up sahara sand around the edges before layering.  I then took a scrap of Stampin Up not quite navy card stock to use as a border and embossed it using my big shot and a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder before sponging navy ink over the embossing to help highlight the border.  I then popped up the layered panel over my embossed border on a card made using some rarely used (RBUS) Stampin Up sahara sand and some new (NBUS) Recollections designer paper my daughter bought me.  The only embellishments I used were some rarely used (RBUS) Stampin Up not quite navy brads, ice stickles  Wise Siamese crowns/collars, and a small navy bow sticker.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Pammies Inky Pinkies 1850 - Anything Goes

True Friends And Some More NBUS

I'd like to share a card I made for a friend using the True Friends digi from Simply B Stamps.  The image is colored using prismacolor watercolor pencils with Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink stippled around the edges.  The card is made using Stampin Up card stock and Basic Grey Kioshi designer paper.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out and I used up some more of my never before used stash (NBUS) by using my purple prima flowers and pearl bling.  I'd also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
