Cinnamin Roll Presents

Hello and welcome.  Today is day 3 of Bugaboo's annual Holiday Chaos week of challenges over at Catch The Bug blog.  Today is the Anything But A Card day.  For my project, I've chosen to make a Christmas stocking stuffer, or it can be used as a hostess gift too.  Safely...of course!

I started out by printing the never before used Gingerbread Ornaments image onto Hammermill white card stock then colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  For the white parts of the candy canes and parts of the gingerbread men and woman, I used a Souffle white pen and a white gel pen for the gingerbread teeth.  Once the marker coloring was finished, I added some real red chalk then layered the image and added brads.  I then took a cinnamen roll candle I had purchased in Michael's dollar spot a few years ago and added it to a clear cellophane bag.  After adding my bag topper, I secured it in place with staples.  The final touch was adding some silver snowflake stickers I've had for years.

Thank You Kindness

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a simple card made using a new set called Fred Said (WP915) from Impression Obsession.

I started out by stamping the shoes in memento black onto Neenah white card stock then coloring using my Castle Art pencils with a blender pencil.  I then stamped the saying in memento black before stippling Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink around the edges then layered and added brads.  For the card, I took a piece of Stampin Up bordering blue card stock along with a scrap of Authentique designer paper before stippling faded jeans around the card base.  After adding the layered image using dimensionals, I then added some faux sewing around the edges.

Thanksgiving Inspiration

Hello and welcome.  Today is a new weekly challenge over at Bugaboo's blog Catch The Bug and it's a photo inspiration challenge.  For my project, I went with Thanksgiving using the Thanksgiving Brat image.

After printing my image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils and a blender pencil before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass around it then layered.  I then added some brads before adding the image to my card made using Stampin Up card stock along with some dusty PTI Fall Prints designer paper.  The border was made using a scrap of the PTI designer paper and a strip of handmade mulberry paper I bought years ago. As an afterthought, I took a black artist pen and added some faux sewing around the colored image.  The only other embellishments added were some dusty dew drops before sponging always artichoke ink around the whole card.

Just For You Doodles

Hello and welcome.  First let me say, THANK YOU to all of our veteran's and their families for your service - past and present.  Also THANK YOU to all the essential workers and first responders for your tireless service.

I have a couple of friends that are going through a rough patch right now since their views differ from their husband/dad, and neighbors, on the results of the U.S. election.   So I decided to make a little pick-me-up from a never before used, and retired, Stampin Up set I received from one of them.  I started out by stamping the image in memento tuxedo black ink onto scrap white card stock then colored using prismacolor and copic markers before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks around it.  Once they were layered, I added brads then adhered them to a card base made from scraps.  I then stamped the saying also in memento black before adding some bling to the images.  As an afterthought, I then pulled out a black artist pen and added some faux sewing to both cards.

Do What You Love

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made with this week's Friday freebie from Bugaboo Stamps called Bugaboo Brat basketball boy.  I think this image could also be changed by coloring to represent girls teams as well.

After printing my image onto Hammermill white card stock and coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers, I lightly stippled some Tim Holtz chipped sapphire ink around the edges.  Once that was done, I layered the image before adding to a card using some scrap Costco designer paper I picked up probably 10 yrs ago and I'm still going through with Tim Holtz faded jeans distress ink sponged around the sides.  I kept the card pretty clean and simple and only added brads, kraft thread and a Basic Grey popsicle stick saying I've also had for years.

Little Pumpkin Patch

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using this week's Bugaboo Friday Freebie.  Isn't this little pumpkin patch cute?

After printing it off onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling tumbled glass and garden green inks around it then layering.  I then pulled out a Stampin Up embossing folder I received as a RAK, and haven't used yet, to dry emboss an orange layer before stippling spiced marmalade over the embossed images then added to my card.  After adding some brushed copper brads, I then added the layered image to my card before sponging garden green ink around the edges of the card itself.  I then pulled out some embossed prima flowers I've had for years, added those with punched pumpkin card stock centers, some twine and copper ice stickles.  As an afterthought, I highlighted parts of the pumpkins using a 3D glaze pen and hand drawn "birds".

650 Million Years

Hello and welcome.  Today is Humor Me Wednesday over at Catch The Bug.  Did you know September 30th is Ask A Stupid Question day?  For my card, I chose to use one of  Bugaboo's snarky images Stella Jellyfish. You can't go wrong with Stella.  Besides, I'm sure we all have run into one or two people this saying fits perfectly.

After printing my image off at 3.5x5 so I could make it into a one layer card, I colored the image using prismacolor and copic markers.  Once that was finished, I lightly rubbed some bashful blue chalk over the white areas using a cotton ball before lightly erasing areas over the saying. The only embellishments used were a white gel pen, 3D glaze pens and two epoxy star stickers.

Stella's At The Beach

Hello and welcome.  I'm still guest designing for Bugaboo Stamps and this week's challenge over at Catch The Bug is a photo challenge.  That's right.  We're going to the beach!  For my project, I decided to use Stella Outdoorsy.

After combining the image and saying in Microsoft Word, I printed it off and colored using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks over and around the edges before adding some Adirondack caramel ink before layering and adding to my card.  For the card, I just went with a textured caramel base with  some light blue bakers twine around it.  I then highlighted parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens before adding some hand drawn birds and brads.  The final touches were a punched crab from red scrap card stock and a never before used (NBUS) shell charm I've had how for years.  The charm was adhered using Ranger Glossy Accents.  As an afterthought, I added another punched crab to the inside as well as a punch sand dollar also from scraps.

Favorite Grocery Store

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a couple of new and never before used (NBUS) Hollyhocks Cover A Card CC408 along with the Successful Adulting CL1027 sentiment set from Impression Obsession.  I absolutely LOVE this sentiment set. I can hear my mom saying this to me.

I started out by stamping the Hollyhocks in deep iris ink onto white card stock before layering the panel on a lavender card.  I then stippled some tumbled glass distress ink over the image before stamping my saying, layering, then adding it to my card.  After adding some light mauve organdy ribbon, I then added some purple bling to the centers of the flowers.  Clean, simple and oh so easy.

Kindness Flowers

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using digital images from Graciellie Design.  I started off by printing out the corner flowers from Life Happens and then the sentiment from Sending Kindness.  Once everything was printed, I colored the flowers using copic markers before lightly stippling tumbled glass distress ink around the image then adding it to a black card base.  I then layered the saying onto black card stock scraps before adding two butterflies and bling.  My final embellishment was highlighting portions of the saying, flowers and butterfly "trail" using 3D glaze pens.  Clean, simple and elegant.  I'm really happy with how it turned out especially since I was coloring while dealing with a migraine.  It was at the point, color or cry.

Out Of This World Thanks

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I made to say thank you to another healthcare worker on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After printing off the Monster 4 Block from Bugaboo Digital Stamps, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before layering.  I then stamped the card background using a retired Stampin Up set before adding a dry embossed scrap strip.  I then added the layered image using dimensionals before adding some SU enamel dots then highlighting parts of the image using 3D glaze pens.  The only other embellishments added were ice stickles for parts of the antenna and planet rings, googlie eyes, and buttons.

Eagle And The Lighthouse

Hello and welcome.  It sure does feel good to be stamping and coloring again.  Today I'd like to share a card made using one of the new digital stamps from Impression Obsession called Eagle Lighthouse H1991.

After printing off my image onto Neenah white card stock, I pulled out and dusted off my prismacolor pencils.  Probably haven't used those in a few years too.  Bad mommy!! ;)  After coloring the image, and layering, I ran a distressing tool along the sides of the layered image before adding over a dry embossed border panel.  Once my card was made, I color spritzed an artichoke marker onto the kraft card base.  The only embellishments used were brads, ice stickles, and a Sakura 3D glaze pen to highlight the eagles eye, beak and claws.

Raising The Flag

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made after finishing the book Monuments Men.  I highly recommend the book.  Wow!!  Even though the card is fairly clean and simple, it still took me over 2 weeks to finish it thanks to health issues.  For my card, I dusted off a severely neglected retired Stampin Up set called Courage and Honor.

After stamping my main image in memento tuxedo black, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before highlighting parts of the flag with a white prismacolor pencil and white gel pen.  Once the coloring was finished, I stippled some stormy sky and caramel inks over and around the image before layering.  For the card, I stamped medals included in the Courage and Honor set in artichoke ink onto my card base.  The only embellishments used are some vintage brads and twine.

Popcorn Please?

Hello again and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card I've made using the Popcorn Sprite digi from Stamps By Aurora Wings paired with some At The Movies digital paper from the now closed My Time Made Easy

After printing off the sprite, I then colored her using both prismacolor and copic markers before sponging Tim Holtz tumbled glass and broken china distress inks around her.  Once she was layered, I added some enamel dots from Stampin Up, a ribbon, and Jolee's movie ticket/popcorn stickers.  My final embellishment was highlighting parts of the Sprite and her dress using some Sakura 3D glaze pens.

Pretty In Pink

Second post from me today.  For my Pumpkin Kitty post, please scroll down one.  This cute little one took me few days to make since I was still dealing with a few health issues.  I've had her printed off for some time, just never colored or made a card with her.  It's gotten to the point with my health of, either try to focus on something besides how I was feeling, or just cry.  Lately, I've chosen coloring as my means of focusing.

This adorable little one comes from Kinda Cute By Patricia and is listed as one of her free images.  After coloring her using both prismacolor and copic markers, I stippled some going grey and pretty in pink over and around her before layering then adding some button brads.  I then pulled out a card with background I received as a RAK and added her using scor-tape.  I then added a black embossing glaze pen to highlight the eyes before adding a small pink bow.

Let's Do The Monster Mash!!

Hello and welcome.  I've had a bit of trouble with the health again this last week so it's taken me quite some time to both make/finish and post this card.  Although I'm not normally a Halloween card maker, "Monster Mash" is just one of my favorite songs so one would just have to make a Halloween card using this cute set from Impression Obsession.

I started out by stamping my monster images from the Monster Mash set then stamped the saying above them.  After coloring the monsters using both prismacolor and copic markers, I cut the image panel down so I could then reverse stamp the spiderweb and spider from the Monster Mash set.  Once I was finished, I then stippled basic gray ink over and around the images before layering and adding silver moon brads.  I then took a silver gel pen to the spiderweb to highlight it before taking a black embossing glaze pen to the spider, saying and highlighting parts of the monsters.  I then added all of that to an ivory card with leftover Halloween designer paper using pop up glue dots.  My final touches were googlie eyes and a black bow.  Now that I really have the Monster Mash song going through my head, I should only share with you as well. ;)

A Sparkling Wave

Hello and welcome.  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Eat Turkey post, please scroll down one.

I'd like to share with you a card I made using a stamp originally bought by my daughter over 10yrs ago at a stamp convention when stamping with mom was fun. She had put it into a box of stuff she was planning to toss when she moved out a few years back, so I took it out of the box.  ;)  I think the image is made by Rubberstamp Ave but I'm not sure since it was unmounted when my daughter bought it.  My hubby made a wood block to put the stamp on.

After stamping the image in Tim Holtz chipped sapphire ink, I colored it using copic markers before layering and adding white brads.    Taking a couple of scraps of black/blue card stock, I dry embossed them using a Tim Holtz cracked glass embossing folder before layering and adding to my card.  I then took a white gel pen to highlight the wave bubbles and diamond ice stickles to highlight parts of the wave itself.  The picture really doesn't do all of the sparkle justice.  The card background is one sent to me by my friend Kelli.  As a final touch, I sponged Stampin Up brilliant blue ink around the edges of the card.

Creeping By

Hello and welcome  I will apologize ahead of time for any typo's since I'm trying to type and listen to Purple Rain at the same time.  Oh how I love listening to Prince. I so miss his music.

Today I would like to share a fairly simple Halloween card I made.  I started off by stamping the web in Tim Holtz weathered wood ink onto scrap white card stock before sponging the same ink around the edges and then layering onto some scrap gray card stock before adding some brads.  I then dry embossed a black panel using my cuttlebug spiderweb embossing folder and adhered it to a stamped orange card.  I then stamped the spiders in memento black before coloring using copic markers and cut out the candy corn to adhere using micro glue dots.  After using a silver glaze pen to the web, and black embossing glaze pen to the spiders and saying, I added some tiny googlie eyes to the spiders.  My final embellishments was a black bow using a small snippet of scrap ribbon.  Here's the inside of the card:

Hello Pumpkin

Hello again.  Now I'd like to share a card I made that took me longer to assemble and photograph than it did to color.  Thank you migraines....not! animated-angry-smiley-image-0289

I started out by pulling out some very lonely Die Cuts With A View fall designer paper and then stamped this adorable Pumpkin Spice Kitty from Impression Obsession onto scrap white card stock in memento black ink.  I then colored it using copic markers before stippling pumpkin pie ink around the edges then layering.  Once that was done, I added some pumpkin eyelets then popped up the layer over my designer paper border on a pumpkin pie card base.  I then stamped out my saying from The Cats Pajamas retired Hello Pumpkin set in memento black ink onto scrap pumpkin pie card stock.  After punching it out using a Stampin Up large oval punch, I added it to my card before stamping a miscellaneous Stampin Up leaf stamp from my days as a demo (long ago) in the upper corner.  The only other embellishment used was diamond, and black, ice stickles to highlight parts of the cat image.

Wishful Swinging and More Never Before Used Stuff

Hello and again...welcome.  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Hippo and Butterfly post, please scroll down one.

I'd like to share with you a card I've made using a never before used digital image from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  The image is actually a freebie and can be found here.

After downloading and printing off the image, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz brushed corduroy and tumbled glass distress inks over and around the image.  I love the way stippling gives a "softer feeling" to an image.  I then drew the "tree branch" before pulling out my long retired Watercolor Minis set from Stampin Up to stamp the "trees leaves"; another favorite technique.  Once everything was colored up and layered, I added some white brads before adhering the image panel to my card.  I then stamped the saying before punching it out using oval punches.  I then highlighted some areas using Sakura glaze pens.  The only other embellishment is some sparkle dew drops otherwise I kept the card pretty much clean and simple.
