PIP Challenge 2550

If you're looking for my Conjurer of Dreams Blog Hop post, please scroll down one.

Sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge. My card this week was made using one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add On.  My husband also loves these little guys so that's a plus.

I started out by stamping all of my images in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring them using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I fussy cut out the additional images I had stamped, layered my image panel before adding some faux brads and popped up images.  After I dry embossed my card base, I added a couple of Jolee's snowflake stickers I had in my stash before adding star dust stickles to finish it off.

Halloween Cake Greetings

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using an image I've had colored for some time, just didn't turn it into a card yet.  The image is from Simply Betty Stamps (now closed) and is colored using my prismacolor pencils. I have leftover tumbled glass distress ink stippled around her before layering and adding black brads.  I then popped the layered image up over a dry embossed spiderweb card.  The final touches were thunderstorm bling and some spider sequins.  I'm pretty happy with how she turned out.

Loon At The Lake

Hello and welcome.   Today I'd like to share a card made using an image I've had colored for some time, just hadn't finished it to a card.  The Loon Scene is from Whimsy Stamps and is just beautiful.  I see so many uses for this stamp.

The main image is stamped onto Neenah white card stock and colored using Castle Arts colored pencils and a blender pencil.  I then lightly stippled some tumbled glass distress ink before adding some silver photo corners I've had for years, and I mean years.  The card was made by stippling broken china distress ink over a slim line lily pad stencil from Picket Fence Studios.  Once I had the layered image added to my card, I added some bling, ribbon, diamond ice stickles and a small punched frog to place on one of the lily pads.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

All Things Are Possible

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made from one of the images I colored while my husband was still in the hospital. The stamp set is a retired one from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and is called Whimsical Wishes.  I've had this set for a while and just hadn't used it yet.

I started out by coloring the images using Castle Arts Watercolor pencils, and a blender pencil, before stenciling the clouds and grass using Tim Holtz tumbled glass and mowed lawn distress inks before layering and adding some faux brads.  The final touch was adding some green bling to finish it off.

PIP Challenge 2526

Our Sponsor is

THEME = SUNSHINE

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I would like to thank Pattie for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  Since this is also the 5th Monday of the month, we are having a sunshine theme.  Make sure your project(s) feature sunshine.  For my card, I'm using the Dog Days of Summer.  Which is really appropriate right now since we're "moving" into the triple digit "season" along with wildfire season.

My main image is colored using Ohuhu Honolulu markers before lightly stippling some Stampin Up bliss blue ink using my blending brushes.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I layered the image panel making sure to distress each of the layers before adding some faux brads.  I then took a summer sun scrap and die cut my sun using an old MFT die, then stippled summer sun and only orange ink over my sun.  After adhering it using glue dots to the image panel, I popped up the middle of the sun using pop dots.  A little bit of bling finished off my card.

Using Up Some Scraps

Hello and welcome.   If you're looking for my Pammie's Inky Pinkies post, please scroll down one.

I had some scraps from another project still laying on my desk so I thought I'd finally get them out of the way and create something with them.  The Steampunk CowgirlOld West Ghost TownOld West Dancing Ghost Couples are all from Conjurer of Dreams.  After I layered everything, I made sure to use my paper distresser along the edges to "roughen up" the layers.  Added a small scrap of copper cord, brads and an old copper clip I've had for years.  The final touch was a bit of yellow stickles to highlight the few light lamps.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Varada Sharma.  I would like to thank Varada for her sponsorship of this week's challenge. Now it's getting hot where I live.  We're supposed to be in triple digits by next weekend so I'm craving ice cream like crazy.  So, I decided to use Varada's Sweet Summer digital stamp set.

After combining the sundae, and saying in Photoshop©, I colored it using my Ohuhu Honolulu markers before trimming down to size and stippling Tim Holtz tattered rose distress ink around the edges.  Once the main image was layered, I added some bling brads before adhering to a pink card with some Making Memories© designer paper I've had for at least a decade (no joke).  A pink organdy ribbon, and clear 3D glaze pen on the chocolate fudge, finished the card off.  I'm happy with how this turned out.

Stained Glass Mermaids

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing this month over at Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge blog.  I would like to take a moment to thank Becca for the invitation to guest design.  For my card, I went with the optional focus of mermaids using images from Conjurer of Dreams

After combining the Stained Glass Sunken Ship with the Quirky Mermaids and a Sea Siren freebie from last year that was posted in the COD Inspiration group.  Once I had everything combined, I printed the finished image twice so one could be a mat layer.  After layering my card elements, I added some old photo corners I found in my stash (remember when we used to use those), some copper cord, copper bling and ice stickles to highlight the waves.  I'm happy with how this turned out especially since I've been dealing with another migraine.

After stamping all of my images onto Copic white card stock, I blended the following distress inks: dusty concordbroken china, chipped sapphire, stormy sky to make my snow/sky using my blending brushes.  I then added some Snow-Tex to add some texture before popping up the sledding children using pop dots.  The final touch was adding some diamond ice stickles to highlight the snow/falling snowflakes.

A Quiet River

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you my take using the Conjurer of Dreams free greyscale coloring progressive challenge image. This is image number 4 of this month's progressive challenge. I colored it using Castle Arts watercolor pencils on a dry embossed card using my Big Shot and dusty Cuttlebug Tree Branch embossing folder. Star dust ice stickles highlight the water. Details on the progressive challenge are in the COD inspiration group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/690288322484648 I'm happy with how this turned out since the coloring gave me something to focus on while dealing with this blasted migraine again.

Victorian Valentines

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you some Valentine cards I made using images from Conjurer of Dreams Victorian Valentines set.  Now, I generally don't make Valentine cards since I'm usually late mailing them out which is what's happening with these.  I've had the images, and background paper, printed out for some time but have not used them yet.

I printed the images on Neenah white card stock before layering them on scrap card stock.  After adding some faux brads to all of them, I then adhered them to cards with Gecko Galz Time After Time digital paper pack.  Digging through my stash I found a length of vanilla ribbon to add to the larger card and vanilla rosette bows for the smaller ones.  No idea how long I've had these, but I do know it's been over 5yrs at least.  After adding my own floral spray in the bottom corners of all of them, I added some gold and fruit punch stickles glitter glue.  I'm happy with how these turned out especially since I'm dealing with a nasty migraine from the weather changes we're having.  It's another focus hard, and push through, or cry again.  Here are close ups of the cards:
