Moonlight Kitty

Hello and welcome.  I'd like to share a card I've made using another one of Impression Obsession's digital stamps.  This one is called Cat With Gourd 1852-DG and is currently free on their website.  If you don't like working with digital stamps, then you could purchase the rubber stamp here. I really think it's hilarious the way the cat has a bird cornered inside the gourd just waiting for the little bird to come out so it can pounce on it.

For my card, I wanted to try using fall colors in a non-traditional fall, or Halloween, card.  After printing off the image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before stippling various Tim Holtz distress inks to create the night sky.  I then took a white prismacolor pencil to color in the moon then layered it while distressing the bottom two layers then adding some black brads from my stash.  I then tied some black twine I had forgotten about in my stash then added some black prima flowers for an accent.  My final embellishments were highlighting the house window using a 3D glaze pen and a white gel pen for the terrified birds eyes.

Merry Wishes Snowglobe

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a stamp set I recently got from Impression Obsession called Penguins Skating CL819 which is on sale right now on their website.  If you buy the stamp set, you get the matching die for free.  Who doesn't like free, right???

I started out by stamping my images onto scrap white card stock then coloring using both prismacolor and copic markers before die cutting them out.  Once that was done, I dry embossed a scrap light blue panel using a cuttlebug embossing folder and my big shot then added to a blue card.  As an after thought, I rubbed some Tim Holtz broken china distress ink over the dry embossed snowflakes using a stipple brush.   All of the die cut images were added to the card using dimensionals before adding a glittered blue ribbon I've had for years and never used.  My final embellishments were diamond and waterfall ice stickles and a couple of 3D glaze pens to highlight the sentiments and snow globe base.

Unicorns, Rainbows And More NBUS

Hello and welcome.  Second post for me today.  If you're looking for my Santa Pit Stop card, please scroll down one.

Now I'd like to share a card made using one of the new digital stamps from Impression Obsession called Unicorn H1935-DG and is currently free on their website.  If you don't like to use digital stamps, and prefer using a rubber stamp, you can buy it here on their website.  Personally, I'm loving their new digital stamps.

After printing off my never before used (NBUS) image onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I dusted off my old Stampin Up chalks and then colored the sun/sky with them using a cotton ball for the sky, then small makeup applicator for the sun.  Then I stippled some Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges of the image panel, layered, and added some light green brads.  For my card, I pulled out some scrap glitter designer paper from my stash and added that to a white card base.  I then sponged some green galore dye ink around the edges of the card before adding the layered image panel.  My final embellishments were 3D glaze pens to highlight parts of the colored image and a small felt green bow.

Even Santa Has To Make A Pit Stop

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using Twas The Night K1026, or K1026-DG for the digital version from Impression Obsession.  I've had this stamp for almost a year now and have never inked it up until now (NBUS). Since I've never used it until now, it will qualify for the Never Before Used Stuff challenge.

After stamping my image in memento tuxedo black ink onto white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers before adding white chalk for the moon.  Once all of my coloring was finished, I stippled Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges before layering and adding silver jingle bell brads.  I then took a Sakura 3D glaze pen, highlighted the sleigh, icicles, part of the outhouse, and down by the saying before adding diamond ice stickles as my final embellishment.  I'm really happy how this turned out since it's take me a long time to color it thanks to my health issues.

Clean And Simple Guinea Pigs

Hello and welcome.  Second post from me today.  Helps when you can't sleep due to pain.  So I've tried some simple coloring to try and distract my mind.  Didn't work but I've managed to make two clean and simple cards, along with CASE-ing a previous layout I used here, using scraps of white card stock along with some Impression Obsession stamps.  I'm in love with this little Curious Guinea Pig.

After stamping my image in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored it using Lyra flesh tone colored pencils along with a blender pencil.  Once my coloring was finished, I used some green and caramel chalk to make the ground before stippling some leftover tumbled glass dye ink for the sky.  My sentiment is from Impression Obsession's Successful Adulting set.

My second card also uses the Curious Guinea Pig with a different sentiment.  After stamping my image, I also colored it using Lyra flesh tone pencils and a blender pencil.  Prismacolor pencils were used for the ground this time.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz broken china distress ink around the edges of the card before stamping the Well Shit sentiment.

Favorite Grocery Store

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a couple of new and never before used (NBUS) Hollyhocks Cover A Card CC408 along with the Successful Adulting CL1027 sentiment set from Impression Obsession.  I absolutely LOVE this sentiment set. I can hear my mom saying this to me.

I started out by stamping the Hollyhocks in deep iris ink onto white card stock before layering the panel on a lavender card.  I then stippled some tumbled glass distress ink over the image before stamping my saying, layering, then adding it to my card.  After adding some light mauve organdy ribbon, I then added some purple bling to the centers of the flowers.  Clean, simple and oh so easy.

Kindness Flowers

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using digital images from Graciellie Design.  I started off by printing out the corner flowers from Life Happens and then the sentiment from Sending Kindness.  Once everything was printed, I colored the flowers using copic markers before lightly stippling tumbled glass distress ink around the image then adding it to a black card base.  I then layered the saying onto black card stock scraps before adding two butterflies and bling.  My final embellishment was highlighting portions of the saying, flowers and butterfly "trail" using 3D glaze pens.  Clean, simple and elegant.  I'm really happy with how it turned out especially since I was coloring while dealing with a migraine.  It was at the point, color or cry.

Birthday Video Guy

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card with you I made for a young man who's turning 9 and is still in quarantine.  Since he plays video games, I decided to use Bugaboo's digital stamp Video Game Guy.

After printing my image onto white card stock, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  For the carpet, I pulled out my lyra pencils and used various shades of brown before lightly stippling Tim Hotlz tumbled glass distress ink for the wall.  I pulled out a retired set from the now closed MFP Stamp Shop for the saying.  I then layered it, added brads, and distressed the edges before adding to my card on top of some boy designer paper scraps from my stash.  After adding some button stickers I've had for years and never used (NBUS), I highlighted parts of the image using Sakura 3D glaze pens.

A Cats Up The Tree

Hello and welcome.  I don't know about you, but all of these weather changes, and wind, the last week here in Central California are causing real issues with my migraines and health problems.  With that in mind, I'd like to share with you a card I made using an image from Kinda Cute By Patricia called Cat Playing Yoyo On A Branch.

After printing out my image, I decided to color using my dusty prismacolor watercolor pencils with a blender pencil instead of the blender marker.  Once colored, I stippled some tumbled glass and garden green inks over and around the image before layering on scrap card stock.  After adding some brads, I popped it up on the card base using Stampin Up dimensionals before adding some punched flowers/butterfly also from scrap card stock.  The final embellishments were ice stickles and a couple of 3D glaze pens to highlight parts of the image.
