Sunshine

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a quick clean and simple card made using the Tractor Florals set from Conjurer of Dreams.   This image reminds me of my late step-grandmother's flower garden she used to have on their grape raisin farm.

After printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I layered it before adding some faux brads then adhered it to a green card.  I then added some Dollar Tree© wood sticker embellishments before highlighting the flower centers using stardust stickles.  Quick, simple and fabulous.

Hooting Holidays

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a Christmas card I made using the Owl I Want set from Gerda Steiner Designs along with some scrap digital designer paper.

I started out by stamping my images in memento tuxedo black ink onto Hammermill white card stock then coloring using my Ohuhu markers and white paint pen.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it and added some faux brads.  I then added googlie eyes, stocking stickers from my stash and some gold bling.

PIP Challenge 2624

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank Gerda for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Gerda's Pool Piggies stamps and matching dies.  Before I begin, how is it June already and triple digit heat?  I am not a fan of the heat and would like my money back please.

I started out by stamping all the images in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring them using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I die cut the images, and a sun, before adhering them to a card with water designer paper I've had for years and not used up.  I then stippled some Tim Holtz wild honey distress ink using a blender brush.  The final touches were sequins, highlighting the saying using a black 3D glaze pen and adding stickles to the designer paper for the "waves".  I'm really happy with how this turned out since I've been having a lot of health issues lately.

Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge Blog #53

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenge where our theme is always Anything Goes Fantasy (think mermaids, unicorns, fairies, etc).  For my card this month, I'm using images from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started out by combining the following COD sets in Photoshop©: Pegasus MaidenQuirky FairiesMystical ForestButterfly Clipart then printing the finished image onto Hammermill white card stock, layered and added some faux brads before setting aside.  My card was made using COD's Blue Lace Background adhered to navy card stock before adhering the image panel using black pop dots.  The final touches were blue sequins, stardust stickles highlighting parts of the image and also running my fingernail along the edges to "distress it" a bit.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Heart's Quest Celebration of Love Challenge #30

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Heart's Quest Celebrations of Love challenge.  As always the BEWAS (Birthday, Engangement, Wedding, Anniversary, Sympathies)  theme is Anything Goes with this months option being Masculine cards.  For my project today, I am using some Gecko Galz digital stamp and paper and I'm going with the Anything Goes theme.

I started out by printing my image from the Spring Blush digital stamps then colored it using Castle Arts Harmonious pencils.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz lavender/tattered rose distress inks around the image before layering.  I then printed out a damask page from Le Palais Rose digital papers and stippling the same inks around the edges.  After assembling the card, I stamped the saying from a long retired Stampin Up set, Hope for Comfort, then punched it out.  The final touches were some bling and a mauve organdy ribbon on the side.

Heart's Quest Shaped Cards and Tags #18

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge at Heart's Quest for Shaped Cards and Tags where our challenge theme is Anything Goes Shaped cards (no square, A2).  For my card this month, I went with a tag shaped card using a pre-made card pack I've had for years and never used.

I started out by embossing my card using a Cuttlebug© dots embossing folder and my Big Shot© before blending tumbled glass distress ink over the raised images.  I then printed out a Birds On A Branch image from Conjurer of Dreams.  After printing my image, I layered it onto scrap card stock before blending tumbled glass distress ink around the layered image before adding some faux brads.  I then die cut several different leaves/stems/flowers from scrap card stock to create my own floral spray before stamping my saying in the bottom right corner.  The final touches was some fibers I've had for years, bling and stardust stickles highlighting the centers of the embossed images and flowers.

PIP Challenge 2622

 Ram Stamps

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Rachelle Anne Miller Designs.  I would like to thank Rachelle for sponsoring our challenge.  My card this week features Rachelle's Birthday Mouse image.

I started out by printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock then colored it using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly blended some wisteria ink around my colored image to soften the white spaces then layering and adding brads.  I then added the image panel to a dry embossed card using a dusty Cuttlebug© birthday embossing folder and my Big Shot© before sponging wisteria ink twice around the edges.  The final touches were ribbon from my stash and some stardust stickles to highlight parts of the image.
