PIP Challenge 2402

         Sponsored by Beccy's Place

Beccy's Place FB

Hello, welcome and Happy New Year!!  I certainly hope you had a fabulous Christmas and a safe New Year gatherings.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are being sponsored by Beccy's Place.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of this week's challenge.  My card today is using one of the free images Beccy has on her blog.  I love the quote by Helen Keller.  Now why have I not used this image before now is beyond me.

Once I had printed out the silhouette image onto Neenah white cardstock, I decided to try ink blending the background to make it look like a sunset using several Tim Holtz distress inks and my blending brushes before layering and adding some tiny black brads.   The card is dry embossed using my dusty Bird Call Cuttlebug embossing folder with my Big Shot©. After pouncing black ink over the raised images, I added it to a black card with black/blue fibers running along the edges.  I then added the silhouette image panel using glue dots before adding some forgotten black bling.  I'm really please with how this turned out.  Fortunately, I had it completed before this last migraine started.

PIP 2126

   Challenge 2126 - Team A

June 28

Hello and welcome to another challenge from Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week we are sponsored by Beccy's Place.  I would like to thank them for providing the images the design team are using.  My card today features one of the manger images from the Lamb of God set.

After printing the image off onto Neenah white card stock, I colored it using Castle Art pencils before blending in Adirondack espresso, Tim Holtz old paper, weathered wood, scattered straw, and brushed corduroy distress inks before layering.  After adding some brads, I added the image to my card using glue dots over a scanned image of Silent Night from an old hymnal my late mother in law had.  The only embellishments added were primas and some Stampin Up twill tape ribbon with Memento rich cocoa ink stippled onto it.  As an afterthought, I added some faux sewing to my main image panel.
