 Sponsored by

  Gerda Steiner

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Gerda for her sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses a freebie image Gerda had made available as part of her 2025 advent calendar.

After printing the image out on white card stock, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers before blending some left over ink from another project and layering.  Once I adhered the card to it's base, I added googlie eyes and some star dust stickles to highlight parts of the image to finish it off.

PIP Challenge 2524

 Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at
Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank Gerda for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  For my card, I paired Gerda's Mouse In Cup along with a retired stencil from Picket Fence Studios and Cas-ual Friday coffee sayings stamp set.

I started out by die cutting a cup shaped white card base using a die I received from a friend as a present.  I then lightly stippled tattered rose, milled lavender and tumbled glass distress inks against a retired Tulip stencil from Picket Fence Studios.  I then colored the mouse/cup image using my Ohuhu Honolulu markers before fussy cutting it out.  Once I had the mouse cup adhered to the cup shaped card, I added some tiny white sequins before going over letters using a black 3D glaze pen.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Sunbird Spark.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of this week's challenge.  My card this week uses their My Favorite Chapter digital stamp set.

After combining the digital images, I typed the Dr Seuss saying myself before printing the image then colored it using my new Ohuhu Direct markers.  Once the coloring was complete, I lightly blended some tumbled glass distress ink around the colored image before layering and adding some faux brads and adhering the image panel to my card.  I then added some white/silver bakers twine, sequins and a googlie eye to finish the card off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out since I'm dealing with another migraine.

A Little Stained Glass Winter

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards made using Conjurer of Dreams Winter Stained Glass Windows images along with several others.  First, let me just say, I absolutely LOVE Kim's stained glass images!!  For both of these cards, I merged the stained glass with the following: Polar Bears AI Art Digitals, Frosty Quirky Elves, Christmas Gnomes and Christmas Ducks.

I started out by printing a non-merged Winter Stained Glass images twice to use as designer paper before printing the merged church/gnomes/ducks image at 3.5 x 5.  After layering, and adding brads, I adhered it to my card using glue dots before adding crystal stickles to highlight the snow/church windows/frozen creek.

Next is a card using a different stained glass church image.  This time I combined it with the Polar Bears AI Art and Frosty before printing it also at 3.5 x 5 then layered and added silver brads before adhering it to the card using glue dots.  After adding some silver cord, I again highlighted the snow/windows/frozen creek using crystal stickles.  I am really happy with how both of these turned out.

Mine!!

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an easy card I made using Conjurer of Dreams pre-colored digital image No Swimming.  With Halloween just around the corner, and all of the new scary movies coming out, I figured why not.  Right?

I started out by combining the image, and saying, in Photoshop© before printing the image on Neenah white card stock, I layered it before adding some faux brads.  I then cut a strip of recycled avocado mesh and adhered it to the back of my layered image panel using glue dots making sure to "wrap" some of the mesh around the corners to kind of look like garbage.  Taking more glue dots, I then adhered the layered panel to my card before trimming any excess mesh I didn't want showing.  After adding a few Picket Fence Spiked Ocean sequins and some diamond ice stickles, my card was finished.  Creepy enough? ;)  Maybe not your traditional Halloween image but if it's scary and creepy it works in my book.

Fear Not

Hello and welcome.  I'd like to share with you a simple card I made using an image from Conjurer of Dreams and a wood block stamp from Stampabilities I received in a destash.

I started off by printing one of the Serenity images as a 4x6 image before adhering it to a Neenah white card base.  I then stamped the phrase from Isaiah 41:10 directly onto the lake image before adding some sequins from Picket Fence Studios.  Very clean, simple and easy.  It's not my best work but was easy to do with this blasted migraine.  I'm sending this to a member of our church who just lost her father.

PIP Challenge 2423

 Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at  Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Penguin Palace.  My card today uses their digital set Cruising On The Ocean.  With the temperature here in California hitting triple digits, I'm dreaming of the ocean, beaches, and cool breezes.

After combining images using Photoshop, I pulled out my Castle Arts watercolor pencils and got to coloring.  Once everything colored, I lightly blended Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink to fill in the white space but also to give the impression of an incoming fog bank.  After layering the colored image, I added brads and set it aside before digging through my stash and finding the wooden anchor I knew I had, but also rediscovered a package of K and Company paper ribbon.  I then added my layered image panel using glue dots and the anchor using my Bearly Art glue.  The final touch was adding a bit of  diamond ice stickles.  I'm really happy with how it turned out since I made it while still dealing with this migraine that won't go away but also it's great for a kids birthday/get well, etc.

Boo To You

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a Halloween card I made using some "new" and "unloved stash".  I was inspired to dig into the "pile" after seeing a friend Marie's blog post of a "crafty squirrel" challenge.  Basically, time to find stuff that is over 2 years old/older and/or never seen some love.  No problem I thought.  Since I'm already done with this Spring heat wave, I went digging for a long retired Stampin Up set called Booglie Eyes dreaming of cooler temps.  I bought the set over 10-15 years ago (copyright label says 2006) and never even mounted any of the images to the matching wooden block.  Proof below:

Once I had cut and mounted the images, I dug out another retired SU set, Web Wishes and stamped the spider web on some scrap white card stock.  Then taking several of the newly mounted images, I stamped them in memento tuxedo black ink on the card stock making sure to stamp the spider one in the corner web.  After coloring everything using markers, I stippled Tim Holtz walnut stain, weathered wood, stormy skytumbled glass and mowed lawn distress inks using my paper pouncers to give a foggy night appearance.  Digging through my stash of designer paper, I discovered some purple with black glitter bat paper from Debbie Mumm and pulled that out to add to a purple card base.  After I added a purplish-brown border, I added the layered image panel using glue dots.  The final touch was adding a black glitter gel pen to highlight the web and googlie eyes to all of the characters plus my saying.

The Most Important Meal Of The Day

Hello and welcome.  Today I have a card to share I made for the Coffee Loving Card Makers blog hop.  I'm a little late to the party thanks to another migraine (Mother Nature make up your mind what season we're in) and being just plain sick for the last couple weeks.  I decided to use some stamps I had received from a friend recently.

I started out by stamping my Cathy image, and saying (retired), from Art Impressions in memento tuxedo black ink on vanilla scrap card stock before coloring using Castle Arts watercolor pencils and a blending marker.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it and added brads.  Setting my layered image aside, I took my Down To The Last Cup background from Picket Fence Studios and stamped it repeatedly in Adirondack espresso ink using a MISTI before stippling more espresso ink using my paper pouncers before adhering it to an espresso card base.  After adding my layered image, I pulled out my Sakura 3D glaze pens and highlighted parts of the image before adding coffee beans sequins.  I'm really happy with how it turned out since I made it while dealing with this migraine.  I needed to try focusing on something besides the pain and this card was fairly easy for me to make.

Falling For Wednesdays Week 5

Hi friends! Welcome to week 5 of Falling For Wednesdays hosted by @kellysantidesigns 🍂🍁  This week’s fall theme is: Fall Critters!  I immediately thought of Yosemite National Park again and all of the forest animals getting ready for winter.  Putting on pounds, storing food in their dens, etc. before beginning hibernation.

I started out by stamping my images from MFP Stamp Shop (now closed) in memento tuxedo black ink on Copic X-press it white card stock before coloring them using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Taking a small Marvy circle punch I've had for years, and rarely use, I punched out my critters peeking out of their tree "burrows" before adhering using pop dots.  After adhering the panel to an espresso card, I decided to add some "grasses" and dug out my Stampscapes large reeds (068D) and stamped the reeds using Tim Holtz mowed lawn, scattered straw and walnut stain distress inks.

My second card I made was inspired by Bear Country in Disneland and seeing all of the squirrels running around to snatch up the scrap droppings.  Taking out some MFP Stamp Shop (now closed) sets as well as the Stampscapes reeds/bush stamps, I got to work.  After stamping the squirrel on a log image in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored it using both prismacolor and copic markers.  I then stamped the pine branches in Tim Holtz pine needles distress ink before stamping the overhanging branches in walnut stain before stamping the reeds/bush using Tim Holtz scattered straw, mowed lawn and walnut stain to create my "grasses".  I then stamped the rocks on scrap card stock, colored them and adhered to the image panel which sits on an espresso card.  I then took a green glittered gel pen and highlighted some of the images.
