Hello and welcome. Today is part of World Cardmaking Day which reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart, not your bank account, so try making a
handmade card and give it to someone
you care about. For me, World Cardmaking Day is the kickoff for making my Thanksgiving, and sometimes, the Christmas cards I send out every year. My card today features this cute Happy Snowman and his bluebird friend from Gerda Steiner Designs.
After stamping him in memento tuxedo black ink onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored him using my Ohuhu markers. I then stamped the bird twice, colored and punched one out to pop up before stippling Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress ink using a blending brush before layering. I then added the layered panel to a ballet blue card with scrap designer paper that reminded me of snowflakes. To my card, I added some holly bling stickers in the corners instead of brads. I then added some more bling and a white/gold organdy ribbon along the side to finish it off.
