Similar But Different

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I made a week ago, just hadn't uploaded yet.  I've been dealing with a nasty migraine for a while now, and nothing seems to be helping; including coloring to try and focus on something other than my migraine.

After stamping both sets of images from the Little Things and Gopher It stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs.  Once I had stamped all of the images, I colored them using my Ohuhu before lightly blending some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink.  Taking my retired Stampin Up Watercolor Mini's, I created the "grass" by stamping the fern repeatedly in the following distress inks: mowed lawncrushed oliveforest moss before lightly stippling some walnut stain on some primas I've had for years to darken them up.  I dug through my stash of designer paper scraps and found this long retired GinaK Great Outdoors digital paper and added that to my card bases.  After die cutting some scrap card stock, I made my own floral spray before adding the dyed flowers.  Some bling, faux sewing, faux brads, 3D glaze pen and stardust stickles finish them off.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.  Close up's below:

A Little Bit Of Grumpy Valentine Love And A Castle

Hello and welcome. Today I have a couple of projects to share with you using the free ATC sheet from Conjurer of Dreams along with the following COD sets: Valentine Book Covers, Red SilkGrumpy Seniors Valentine Kit and Victorian Valentines (retired).  I've had them finished over a week now, but have been dealing with a nasty migraine.

I started out by breaking apart the ATC sheet using Photoshop©, along with my digital layers, before printing them out and adhering to scrap card stock.  Once all of my layering was was finished, I die several small flowers, and stems, from scrap card stock before "shaping" them using my hands and adhering using glossy accents.  The final touches were some red bling and flat backed pearls.  I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out.

Next up is a card made using a free image from Gecko Galz along with a couple of sets from Conjurer of Dreams. I started out by combining the Gecko Galz fantasy image with the following Conjurer of Dreams sets: Warrior Women (retired), Castles With Dragon Clipart (retired), Red SilkBlack Silk and Photo Corners using Photoshop© before printing it out, layering and adding black brads.  My card base is dry embossed using an old Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder I ran through my Big Shot©.  After adding my layered image panel, I added some red cord along the side and several small gems.

PIP Challenge 2608

Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by GinaK Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Gina for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week features a retired set of Gina's called Birthday Hoot.  I bought it last year and hadn't used it yet.  I absolutely love it since the set makes the cutest cards and not just for birthday's.  It can be used for anniversaries, just because (don't ink the party hat), etc.

I started out by stamping the owl/balloons in memento tuxedo black ink on to copic© white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers before drawing some tree branches then coloring.  Once my coloring was finished, I dusted off my dusty Stampin Up Watercolor Minis stamp set and created the "leaves" using various colors of Stampin Up ink then layering and adding some faux brads.  Taking the birthday greeting from my retired Sincere Salutations set, I stamped the greeting before stamping the inside "I hope your birthday is a hoot".  I then adhered my layered image panel to a dry embossed card before adding googlie eyes and some copper bling.  As an afterthought, I lightly stippled some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink to help fill in the sky.  I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Sheepski Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Andrea for sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Sheepski's Retro Rocket digital set.

After printing the images out onto Neenah white card stock, I colored them using my Ohuhu markers before stippling Tim Holtz chipped sapphireaged mahogany distress inks and Stampin Up basic gray dye ink to create my "space" background for the images.  I then added some tiny "star" confetti before adding Ohuhu's glitter metallic marker pens to highlight the planet and rocket flame.  The final touches were a black organdy ribbon and highlighting the "windows" of the spaceships using a clear 3D glaze pen.

Love Stinks and Cupids Aim

Hello and welcome.  I'm guest designing for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers this month's theme is B For Black Black Heart (think valentine with black, anti valentine).  I have two different cards to share with you today.

First up, is a cute little card using some of my favorite stamps from The Cat's Pajamas (now closed).  After I stamped all of the images I wanted to use in memento tuxedo black ink, I colored the penguins/fish/heart using my Ohuhu markers before layering and adding brads.  I then lightly blended some tattered rose distress ink around the image panel before attaching it to my card base. The final touch was adding a small ivory bow that I dyed using the tattered rose ink.  I'm happy with how this turned out.

Next up is a gothic style Valentine card made using images from Conjurer of Dreams.  Normally, goth is just not my thing, but I am getting better at creating goth themed projects.  I am in LOVE with how this turned out.

I started out by combining the following COD image sets using Photoshop©: Gothic Valentine Collage, Victorian MadamValentine Book Covers.  Once the images were combined, I printed it out onto Neenah white card stock before layering and popping the image panel up on a black card base using pop dots.  After adding some lace ribbon from my stash, I added a long forgotten pink rose to the upper left hand corner.  I then dyed three wooden hearts from Dollar Tree© using memento tuxedo black ink before adhering them to the popped up panel.  I then added some bling to the heart centers (kind of like chocolate) and throughout the main image.

Winter Fun

Hello and welcome.  I've been laying low the last several days due health and migraines, so today I'd like to share with you some ATC's (artist trading cards) I've made over the last week for this month's Conjurer of Dreams ATC Challenge.

I started out by breaking apart the challenge's free ATC sheet, in Photoshop©, before combining the elements with the following Conjurer of Dreams image sets: Skating Pond and Clip ArtWinter Christmas Photo CornersBlue SilkMetallic Silk, Snowflake Background.  Once everything was combined, I printed them out, layered and added my embellishments: snowflake sequins I've had for years, snowflake clay pieces, die cuts and some bling.  I'm pretty happy with how these turned out considering the pain level the last few days.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to take a moment to thank Gerda for her sponsoring this week's challenge.  My card this week uses a freebie image Gerda had made available as part of her 2025 advent calendar.

After printing the image out on white card stock, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers before blending some left over ink from another project and layering.  Once I adhered the card to it's base, I added googlie eyes and some star dust stickles to highlight parts of the image to finish it off.

Celebrate

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a quick New Year's card I made using the Fantastic Fireworks digital set from Conjurer of Dreams.

I started by printing one of the images onto Neenah white card stock (4 times for 4 cards) before layering and adding some navy blue brads.  Once that was finished, I adhered the layered image to the card base using glue dots.  I then added a chipboard saying I found at Dollar Tree© using Ranger© glossy accents before adding some bling to the firework centers.  I'm really happy with how these turned out.

PIP Challenge 2601

Hello, Happy New Year and welcome. Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge.

My card is using pre-colored images from the Too Cute For Christmas digital set.  After combining the images, I printed it out onto Neenah white card stock before layering and adding to a dry embossed card.  I then blended some left over Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around the globe before adding some faux stitches in the corners.  Embellishments were kept simple, just some flat back pearls and a small blue bow.  Pulling out a retired The Cat's Pajamas (store now closed) set, I stamped my saying on scrap card stock before adding it to my card.  I'm really happy with how this turned out and will be adding it to my Christmas card stash for 2026.

No Reason's Needed

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a Whimsy Stamps set I received from a friend, @mrsfoxdelights, last year and just hadn't ink'd up yet.  It's a Dustin Pike set called Dragon New Year.   Now I love Dustin Pike images and this set is just perfectly cute with just enough snark to make you laugh.

I started out by stamping the images in memento tuxedo black ink on to a ©Copic white panel before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I lightly stippled some Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around it before layering and adhering it to my card base with scrap Conjurer of Dreams Dragon Scales background paper.  For embellishments, I added some green illusion bling before highlighting parts of the image using a 3D glaze pen.  A small green bow was the final touch.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Woodblock Wednesday December 2025 Edition

Hello and welcome to another Woodblock Wednesday edition where we dust off those wood block stamps we all have just don't use much anymore. For my card, I dusted off an old, and I mean old, retired Stampin Up set called Bulbs that I received from a friend before she passed away last year.  It's kind of like she's still crafting with me. I do miss our talks.

I started out by stamping the tulip bulbs in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring the image using Castle Arts watercolor pencils and a blender pencil.  Once the tulips were colored, I dug out a retired sentiment set called Wonderful Words and stamped the "thank you" along the side before adding some white/silver bakers twine.
