Woodblock Wednesday November 2025 Edition

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card with your I made for this month's Woodblock Wednesday challenge.  We all have wood block stamps, now let's dust them off and make something with them. I haven't been able to play along for a while because of health issues - both mine and my husbands.

My sister in law and her husband were visiting recently and treated us to Olive Garden so I wanted to make a special thank you card for them.  I dusted off my retired Viola! and Viola To Go sets from Stampin Up (that I haven't used in years) and stamped the card before coloring it using Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered the image panel before adding some black brads and adhering the layered panel to my card.  The final touch was adding some sequins to finish it off.

Pucker Up

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a New Year's card made with one of Whimsy's stamp sets called What the?!   Now I love a good snarky card, and stamp set, and this one rocks!

I started out by stamping the image/sayings in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Have I said how much I love these markers??  Well, I do.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I outlined the labels using a gold Copic marker before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then lightly stippled leftover Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink (leftover from another project) around the main image.  My background was created using the "Happy New Year" saying from the set in Stampin Up pacific pointe ink.  The final touches was adding a bit of gold bling to finish the card off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  My husband loves it.  Moral of the card, don't drink too much this holiday season or drive under the influence.

Oh Little Town......

....not Bethlehem.  Hello and welcome.  2nd post for me today.  If you're looking for my gnomes and coffee cards, please scroll down one post.

Today I'd like to share with you a Christmas card I made using the Christmas Village set from Pajama Crafter Stamps.  I started out by stamping the town, and tree, images in memento tuxedo black ink on Copic white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I fussy cut the houses, and lamp post, out before highlighting them using Sakura 3D glaze/souffle pens.  After adding the houses using pop dots, I then highlighted the "snow" using some star dust stickles since it's the easiest way to add glitter. I'm really happy with how this turned out.  It's at least my version of a clean and simple Christmas card.  LOL

Hello Autumn, Just No Pecking

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I've had colored for a few days just hadn't gotten to assembling them yet due to pain and migraines.

First up is card made using some old designer paper along with a Pattie's Creations digital image called Autumn Gnomes I had won last month.  If you don't already know me well, I LOVE GNOMES!!!!  Just about anything gnomes.  I have gnomes that I decorate the house with for each "season" and gnomes outside in my garden.  I've also got several gnome stamp sets (wood/clear/and digital) that I use.  I started out by printing these little guys on to Hammermill white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.   Once the coloring was finished, I lightly blended leftover Tim Holtz stormy sky and mowed lawn distress inks around the colored image before layering and adding some faux brads.  I then adhered my gnome panel to a ruby red card with scrap designer paper I had acquired last year.  After adding a couple of #dollartree wood elements, bling and faux stitches, my card was finished.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Next up is a sarcastic coffee card made using one of Unity Stamps new sets called Don't Cluck With My Coffee along with a retired Picket Fence Studios Down To The Last Drop 3x3 background stamp.   Normally, I'm a tea drinker (hot or iced) but have had Starbucks latte's from time to time.  Besides this chicken spoke to me so she came home. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it - LOL)  After stamping her on to Copic white card stock, I colored it using my Ohuhu markers before layering and adding some faux brads.  Taking my card base, I stamped it using my Picket Fence Studios background in orchid opulence ink before adding my layered image.  The final touches were some small white sequins and highlights using a couple of 3D glaze/souffle pens.

Merry Christmas Forest Party

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made for the Gecko Galz Monthly Christmas challenge.  I haven't been able to play along for a while due to health issues.  Though, finally, I was able to join in.

I started out by digitally combining the Gecko Galz image with the following Conjurer of Dreams images: Christmas Hamsters clip artChristmas Ducks, Cocoa Share, Christmas Mice, Metallic Silk.  After adding the "Merry Christmas" saying, I layered my scene onto the Cracked Winter Blues Background before adding a Gecko Galz Snowman from a recent Gecko Galz newsletter.  I then printed everything out twice, one for the card layer, assembled my card and added some silver cord leftover from Christmas a few years back.  The final touch was adding some star dust, and yellow, stickles to highlight parts of the images.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, especially, since I was feeling pretty bad while making it.

I'd like to share a quick, cute, clean and simple card made using the new Polar Bear Hot Chocolate from Conjurer of Dreams.  Originally, I thought to make this an ATC, but decided otherwise while layering.   After adding some faux brads, thread and stickles to my card, it was finished.

Hello and welcome.  I haven't been around blog land much the last week due to health issues again.  I FINALLY got this little card finished for the 2025 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  Since it ends today, I am just sliding in at the last minute by the "seat of my pants" so to speak.

I had printed out this Gingerbread Latte gnome from The Cat's Pajamas (no closed) on Neenah white card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it using scrap card stock before using a Sakura souffle pen to color in the Christmas tree lights.  After adding some faux brads, I glue down some bling and a epoxy candy cane sticker to finish it off.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Varada Sharma.  I would like to thank Varada for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  My card today is featuring Varada's Hot Air Balloons digital set.

After printing the image onto Hammermill white card stock, I colored it using Ohuhu markers before stippling some tumbled glass distress ink then layering and adding some faux brads.  Once I adhered the colored image panel to my card, I pulled out a long retired Stampin Up set called Warm Wishes and added the "celebrate" to the bottom of the card.  The only embellishments added were then some tiny bling gems to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

A Wanted Halloween

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a couple of cards I made for Halloween using images from Conjurer of Dreams.  I've had these cards finished for a few days, just not photographed or blogged due to my health.

First up, is a cute little friendly robot card.  I started out by combining the following COD images using Photoshop©:  Cute Halloween RobotsYou're Driving Me BattyHalloween QuotesPhoto CornersBlack SilkAged Papers and a COD Inspiration Group freebie background from last year.  Once everything was combined and printed onto Neenah card stock, I added some faux brads before layering it on some black scrap card stock I had on my desk from a previous project.  After adhering to my card base, I added a black ribbon, some spider sequins and some bling to finish it off.

Challenges entered:

Cardz 4 Guyz #379 - Use Orange/Black/Purple + One More (used tan/brown, made for the little guys)

My second card uses one of the Halloween Mug Shots combined with the Halloween Photo Corners and the Wanted Poster.  After printing the witch image, I colored her using Ohuhu markers and a white gel pen before layering and adding brads.  The final touches were sequin spiders and some black bling.  I'm really happy with how both of these turned out.

A Frightfully Good Halloween

Hello and welcome.  Second post today so if you're looking for my puppies birthday card, please scroll down one.  Thank you.

I'd like to share with you a Halloween card, plus ATC, made using images from Conjurer of Dreams images. I liked how the card turned out so I made an ATC to go with it.  I originally started out by combining the following COD sets using Photoshop©: Victorian GraveyardVictorian Dancing GhostsEdwardian Bride & Groom GhostsFunny GravestonesYou're Driving Me Batty clip artAged Papers and Halloween Photo Corners, plus my saying before printing onto Neenah white card stock.  Once I had everything printed out, I layered onto some navy/black card stock before distressing the edges, adding brads and setting aside.  I then stenciled a spiderweb background on my card base using Tim Holtz picket fence distress ink before adding my graveyard panel using some pop up glue dots.  The only embellishments added was some spider sequins for the corners, crinkle ribbon I found in my stash and tiny gemstones for stars.

Someone Say Cake?

Hello and welcome.  I've not been around blogland much the last couple weeks.  Between my husbands, and mine, health issues, neither one of us has been having fun.  I finally got this card finished using one of the new release sets from Gerda Steiner Designs called Peeking Over Puppies.  These little guys are just adorable.  They're stamped in memento tuxedo black ink on Hammermill white card stock then colored using my new Ohuhu markers before fussy cutting out then setting aside.  I then created my background using a slimline cloud stencil and some stormy sky distress ink.  After layering, and adding some photo corners from my stash, I glue a few copper gems on to finish it off.
