PIP Challenge 2510

 Sponsored by Lawn Fawn

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship of our challenge.  My card this week uses their Garden Before N' Afters set.

I started out by stamping everything in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using both of my prismacolor and copic markers.  Once that was finished, I lightly stippled Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink before layering and adding faux brads.  I then added some bling to finish it off.

A Different Perspective

Hello and welcome.  Today I have a couple more cards made over the last couple of weeks that I finally got finished and pictured thanks to the migraines I've been dealing with.  Both cards use the Conjurer of Dreams Serene Forest Greyscale Coloring Book.  I printed both images at 3.5 x 5 because of the migraine.  Now, I absolutely LOVE Kim's greyscale coloring books.   The images can be used for a variety of projects; from cards, home decor, art journals, etc.  You get the hint.

After printing out both images on to Neenah white card stock, I colored them both using Castle Arts watercolor pencils while my husband was watching the news so I could focus on something and tune the TV out.   Once my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled a little bit of stormy sky and tumbled glass distress inks to finish filling in the sky before layering and adding brads.  I then took my paper distresser and ran it along the edge of the bottom layer before adhering the finished panel to a dry embossed card.  After adding some silver cord along the edge, I added diamond stickles to highlight the water before adding two vintage word plaques I've had in my stash for 10-15 years and never opened the package.  As an afterthought, I pulled out my Sakura 3D glaze pens and added some colored dots as flowers.

For the second card, I again colored it using  Castle Arts watercolor pencils before blending some leftover stormy sky to fill in the white space before adding some faux brads.  For embellishments this time, I only added some jute twine along the edge, diamond stickles to the water and the 3D glaze pens for flowers.  I'm really happy with how both cards turned out.

Spring On The Farm

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a couple of projects made over the last couple of weeks but haven't uploaded them due to a migraine that won't quit.  The weather we've had recently has been a little crazy - winter temps suddenly turning into spring temps; then dropping 20 degrees overnight with thunderstorms; now back to spring. Sigh.  Mother Nature please make up your mind.

First up, I have a fabulous country farm card made using images from Conjurer of Dreams plus a couple from my digital stash.  I started out by combining the following COD sets ( Anne of Green Gables, Old Purple Truck, Old Red Barn) in Photoshop before adding the horse, trees, birds from my stash.  Once I had printed out the finished image, I layered it and added some faux brads before adhering it to a rust colored card.  After adding some copper cord from my stash, my card was finished.

Next up, is an adorable spring ATC  made using Conjurer of Dreams Ladybug Love, Fairy Sprite and Quirky Faries digital sets.  These were also combined in Photoshop before printing onto Neenah white card stock, then layering onto scraps and adding faux brads.  Digging through my smaller scraps, I punched some greenery and flowers using my Martha Stewart punches and adhered those using Glossy Accents before adding some red stickles to the flower centers, small red bow and finally a wooden ladybug sticker I've had for years.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we are sponsoring the challenge.   My card this week uses a retired set Hanging With My Gnomies from My Favorite Things that I received in a friends destash box.  After stamping all of the images, and saying, in memento tuxedo black, I colored them using both prismacolor and copic markers before blending tumbled glass distress ink to fill in the sky.  Brads and ice stickles finish the card off.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out since I'm still dealing with a bad migraine.

A Quiet River

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you my take using the Conjurer of Dreams free greyscale coloring progressive challenge image. This is image number 4 of this month's progressive challenge. I colored it using Castle Arts watercolor pencils on a dry embossed card using my Big Shot and dusty Cuttlebug Tree Branch embossing folder. Star dust ice stickles highlight the water. Details on the progressive challenge are in the COD inspiration group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/690288322484648 I'm happy with how this turned out since the coloring gave me something to focus on while dealing with this blasted migraine again.

A Grumpy Valentine

Hello and welcome.  I'm a little late posting this (thank you migraine) but I'd like to share with you the card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day.   I used images from Conjurer of Dreams Grumpy Seniors Valentine Card Kit and the Red Silk background.

Once I combined all of the images, I printed the finished panel out on Neenah white card stock before layering and adding pewter heart brads from my stash.  After adhering it to the card, I added a small floral spray in the top left corner before highlighting parts of the images using a clear 3D glaze pen.

Victorian Valentines

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you some Valentine cards I made using images from Conjurer of Dreams Victorian Valentines set.  Now, I generally don't make Valentine cards since I'm usually late mailing them out which is what's happening with these.  I've had the images, and background paper, printed out for some time but have not used them yet.

I printed the images on Neenah white card stock before layering them on scrap card stock.  After adding some faux brads to all of them, I then adhered them to cards with Gecko Galz Time After Time digital paper pack.  Digging through my stash I found a length of vanilla ribbon to add to the larger card and vanilla rosette bows for the smaller ones.  No idea how long I've had these, but I do know it's been over 5yrs at least.  After adding my own floral spray in the bottom corners of all of them, I added some gold and fruit punch stickles glitter glue.  I'm happy with how these turned out especially since I'm dealing with a nasty migraine from the weather changes we're having.  It's another focus hard, and push through, or cry again.  Here are close ups of the cards:

The Three Polar Bears

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the Polar Bear Fun Greyscale coloring book.  I love how these little guys turned out.  With the migraines I've been having lately, coloring helps me relax and focus on something else besides the pain.

I started by printing them at 3 x 5 1/2 so they'd be easier to color and pulled out my Castle Arts Harmonious pencils and got to work.  I'm loving the muted colors of these pencils plus the varying shades of them.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered the main image before adding brads then distressed the outsides of the image panel.  After adding that to a navy card, I dug out some white/silver baker's twine I've had for a few years and added that to my card before highlighting parts of it using both ice stickles and star dust stickles.  It was then I decided to lightly blend some stormy sky distress ink, leftover from another project, to help "soften" the sky a bit.

Winter Church

Hello and welcome to the February Recycled Artistry IG Hop hosted by @newdawncards and @createwithkas ♻️ We’re taking recycling to the craft room and giving new life to discarded items in a creative way. From paper towel rolls, junk mail envelopes, cereal boxes, bubble wrap and so much more, we encourage you to look around and see if you can ‘use it before you lose it’ to the trash! We post once a month on the 2nd Tuesday at 2 PM EST. To join, message Dawn or Kelly and tag us using #recycledartistryighop.  My card today is re-using some corrugated packaging from inside a Chewy box as well as a digital stamp from Impression Obsession (now closed).   Although I've had this image printed for some time, I just hadn't colored it up to put on a card.

After coloring my church scene using both Lyra and Castle Arts pencils, I blended everything using a Prismacolor blender pencil before stippling chipped sapphire distress ink to fill in the sky.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered it and added some faux brads before adhering it to my card using glue dots.  The final touches were copper cord along the left edge and icicle/star dust stickles to add some sparkle.  I'm semi happy with how this turned out since I'm dealing with another migraine.

PIP Challenge 2506

Hello and welcome. Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're sponsored by Sheepski Designs.  I would like to thank Andrea for her sponsorship.  My card this week uses Andrea's image called Spring Gnome.

I started out by printing the image on Neenah white card stock before coloring using both my Lyra flesh tone and Castle Arts colored pencils.  Once I was finished coloring, I lightly stippled left over stormy sky distress ink around the image to "soften" the white space before layering and adding brads.  Taking my Martha Stewart hydrangea punch, I punched out several pink/purple flowers then shaped and added them to my card using glossy accents,  To the flower centers, I added some yellow ice stickles.  As an afterthought, I pulled out a long retired Stampin Up word set, Small Script, and added the wish in the bottom left corner.  It took a few days to get it done thanks to my migraine but I'm really satisfied with the end result.

A Birthday Deer and Valentine

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a couple of cards I've made.  First up is a birthday card made for one of my brothers-in-law whose birthday is next week.  Since he lives in Idaho, I decided to use a Sizzix stamp/die set I received from a friend for Christmas and pair it with a digital snowflake plaid background from Conjurer of Dreams.  After stamping the image twice, I colored only one deer before die cutting it using the attached die.  I then blended old paper and tea dye distress inks before layering and adding brads.  I then adhered the image panel to my card before stamping my birthday sentiment inside.

My second card is featuring a long retired Stampin Up set called Greeting Card Kids. I've had this old wood mounted set for years (10-15 yrs at least) and haven't used it until now for some reason.

I started out by stamping the image onto a white scrap before coloring using Copic markers.  Once my coloring was finished, I blended some tattered rose distress ink using my blending brush before layering and adding some tiny red brads.  I then adhered the layered image panel to a dry embossed card using  glue dots.  The final touches were red/gold organdy ribbon from my stash and some red Prima flowers I've had for a long time. I'm really happy with how both cards turned out.
