Steampunk Sepia

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share a card made using digital steampunk images from Conjurer of Dreams.   Now steampunk is normally "not my thing" but I do think I'm getting better at it.

I started out by combining the Steampunk SceneSteampunk Lady in SepiaAged PapersTea Dyed Papers and the Vintage Tags and Elements Craft Kit in Photoshop© before printing it out on Neenah white card stock, trimming down to size and then layering.  I then took the layered image panel and added it to a dry embossed saffron panel using an old Tim Holtz clock embossing folder and my Big Shot©.  After adding some faux brads, I dug out some ribbon I've had for years in my stash and added that before adding some bling to the butterfly, clock and main image.  The final touch was highlighting the background clock faces using a clear Sakura 3D glaze pen.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

PIP Challenge 2528

Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Polkadoodles.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.  Since I've been dealing with flare ups of my migraines and fibromyalgia lately, I decided to go a bit easy on myself with today's card and took the pre-colored fishbowl from the Too Cute Christmas Big Kahuna Bundle and paired it with three uncolored fishes so I would just have to color the fish.  This is a fast and easy way to get some Christmas cards done especially if you're not feeling well.  Once I had my image printed, and colored, I lightly stippled some stormy sky distress ink around my image, layered and added some silver brads from my stash.  Taking a red/silver ribbon, I added that to the top before tying into a knot.  After adding some faux sewing and bling for the bubbles, my card was finished.

I have a second card to show you using their Busy Bee Gnome Road Trip image and a retired Creative Worship/SNSS saying.  My card is colored using Ohuhu Honolulu markers.  I then lightly stippled some stormy sky distress ink using a blender brush before adding some bling to the flower/wheel centers and a clear 3D glaze pen to highlight parts of the image.  I'm extremely happy with how this turned out.

Floral Mushroom Gnome

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made using one of the images I colored while my husband's been in the hospital.  The images are from the Gnome One Like You set from Creative Worship Stamps.  I've had this set for a while and just hadn't used it until now.

After stamping the image/saying in memento tuxedo black ink onto white Copic X-press card stock, I colored everything using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I added some flower stems before stenciling my cloud background.  I then dug out my card stock scraps and Martha Stewart floral/butterfly punches to add to my scene.  After adhering some bling to the layered image panel, I added some tiny black dots for the butterflies.

PIP Challenge 2526

Our Sponsor is

THEME = SUNSHINE

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  I would like to thank Pattie for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  Since this is also the 5th Monday of the month, we are having a sunshine theme.  Make sure your project(s) feature sunshine.  For my card, I'm using the Dog Days of Summer.  Which is really appropriate right now since we're "moving" into the triple digit "season" along with wildfire season.

My main image is colored using Ohuhu Honolulu markers before lightly stippling some Stampin Up bliss blue ink using my blending brushes.  Once all of the coloring was finished, I layered the image panel making sure to distress each of the layers before adding some faux brads.  I then took a summer sun scrap and die cut my sun using an old MFT die, then stippled summer sun and only orange ink over my sun.  After adhering it using glue dots to the image panel, I popped up the middle of the sun using pop dots.  A little bit of bling finished off my card.

High Five

Hello and welcome. Today I'd like to share with you a card made using the High Five set from Pajama Crafter Stamps.  I started out by stamping the images/saying using my MISTI in memento tuxedo black ink before coloring using Ohuhu Markers then layering and adding brads.  After adhering the layered image panel, I lightly stippled leftover stormy sky to soften the white then adding some copper sequins to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how this turned out.

Thanks And Blessings

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I've been wanting to make for some time just didn't get to it before now.  The images are from a retired set called Gnome Home Fall/Christmas from Pajama Crafter Stamps/Prickly Pear.
I started out by stamping everything onto scrap card stock before coloring using my Ohuhu markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I assembled the card before stamping my saying from a long retired Stampin Up set (Wishes Awash). I then added some copper bling before highlighting parts of the images using a clear Sakura 3D glaze pen.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Cowboys And A Red Barn

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using a few Conjurer of Dreams images.  I started out by combining the Old Red BarnRuggedBarn Owl and Cute Dogs before printing the combined image  on Neenah white card stock, layering and adding some copper brads.  After distressing the edges, I adhered the layered panel to my card using pop up glue dots.  Digging through my stash, I found some twine and added that to the side before adhering some copper bling and a copper clip from my stash.  I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

Tranquility At The Beach

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a card made over the last several weeks in between my migraine and fibromyalgia flare-ups.  I used an image from Conjurer of Dreams greyscale coloring pages called The Beach.  Anyone that really knows me, knows the beach is my happy place.  I could just sit on the sand watching the waves for hours.

After printing it on Neenah white card stock, I colored it using both Lyra and Castle Arts watercolor pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I softened everything using a prismacolor blender pencil before layering and adding some sand dollar brads from my stash.  After adhering the layered image using glue dots, I added some "seagulls" using a black gel pen before adding some star dust stickles to the wave white caps.  After adding a scallop shell sticker from my stash, I added a few Meraki green shimmer bling to finish it off.  I'm happy with how it finally turned out.

Welcome To The Funny Farm

Hello and welcome.  Second post today.  I made these ATC's over the last couple of weeks due to my migraines and fibromyalgia flare ups.  The images are from the Funny Farm set from Conjurer of Dreams.  I printed this set out a while ago, and it just sat in the "to be made pile" until a couple of weeks ago.  I really love the sayings Kim made for these and hope she brings the set back.  With the exception of the images printed on Neenah white card stock, everything else is used from my scrap bin.  Here are close-ups of each ATC:

Also used a retired Stampin Up mini set for the dotted background, pearls, clip I had forgotten about

Also used scrap of Graphic 45 paper, bling, brads, clip I had forgotten about

Also used retired Stampin Up mini for dotted background, brown pearls, brown Prima flower I had forgotten about

Also used yellow mini brads, red Prima mini flowers I forgot I had

Mermaid By The Sea ATC

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you an ATC (artist trading card) using Gecko Galz Summer Days ATC Set and their retired Merry Little Mermaids collage set.

I started out by printing both the ATC background set and collage set before trimming off the images I wanted to use.  I then layered everything using Stampin Up's Bermuda Bay card stock scraps before adding some faux brads.  I then punched "kelp" from a bunch of tiny scraps using my Martha Stewart punches before running the punched "images" through my dusty crimper.  I then assembled my "kelp forest" in the lower right hand corner making sure to dig out a punched sea urchin and crab leftover from another project.  I then dug out a wooden shell I had bought at Dollar Tree some time ago and stained it in Bermuda Bay ink before adding it on top of my "forest".  Taking some pearl bling I've had for a while now, I added pearls in various places on the ATC including a couple for "modesty".  The final touches were a small white bow and star dust stickles to finish it off.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.  If my grandfather were still alive, I'd leave off the "modesty" pearls and just send it to him without them.  I do miss him.

PIP Challenge 2524

 Sponsored by

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at
Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank Gerda for her sponsorship of this week's challenge.  For my card, I paired Gerda's Mouse In Cup along with a retired stencil from Picket Fence Studios and Cas-ual Friday coffee sayings stamp set.

I started out by die cutting a cup shaped white card base using a die I received from a friend as a present.  I then lightly stippled tattered rose, milled lavender and tumbled glass distress inks against a retired Tulip stencil from Picket Fence Studios.  I then colored the mouse/cup image using my Ohuhu Honolulu markers before fussy cutting it out.  Once I had the mouse cup adhered to the cup shaped card, I added some tiny white sequins before going over letters using a black 3D glaze pen.

Recycled Medication Bottles

Welcome to the June Recycled Artistry IG Hop hosted by @newdawncards and @createwithkas ♻️ We’re taking recycling to the craft room and giving new life to discarded items in a creative way. From paper towel rolls, junk mail envelopes, cereal boxes, bubble wrap and so much more, we encourage you to look around and see if you can “use it before you lose it” to the trash! We post once a month on the 2nd Tuesday at 2 PM EST. To join, message Dawn or Kelly and tag us using #recycledartistryighop.  My project this month is recycling some empty medication bottles for the foster kittens I have.  I chose to decorate the bottles using the retired Pawsome Pals stamp set from Creative Worship (formerly Sweet N Sassy) stamps.

I started out by cleaning a few old medication bottles and letting them dry.  Once dry, I pulled out some scrap white card stock and stamped the Pawsome Pals images/saying in memento tuxedo black ink using my MISTI before coloring them using Lyra and Castle Art colored pencils.  I then stippled some going grey ink along the edges before adhering the panel using some 1/2 inch Scor-Tape.
