A Couple Of Bookmark Eras

Hello and welcome.  For one of my final projects to share for 2024, I'd like to show you a couple of bookmarks I made my daughter for Christmas.  She is an avid reader and a HUGE Swiftie so when I saw this Taylor Swift look alike Country Girl stamp set from Scrabby Boy, I bought the stamp set in a hurry.

I started out by stamping the images in memento tuxedo black ink onto scrap Neenah white card stock.  I then stamped the song lyrics around "Taylor" before coloring them using both Lyra Giant Skintone and Castle Arts colored pencils.  Once my coloring was finished, I lightly stippled leftover stormy sky distress ink that was on my blender brush.  After layering the image panels, I added matching bling and stickles to her outfits as much as possible to the ERAS Tour ones.  I then placed them into some sleeves I had (bought 10+ years ago in bulk) before adding matching ribbon.  I'm really happy with how they turned out and so is my daughter.  She's asked me to make a couple more for one of her Swiftie friends.

A Couple Of Last Minute Projects

 

Hello and welcome.  Can you believe it's only a few more days until Christmas and the week after that is New Year's Day?  I will be glad to see 2024 go away.  It has not been a good year for me - health wise or personally.  However, I digress.  Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I've made over the last couple of weeks using Conjurer of Dreams images.

 

First up is a quick card made using an image from Stained Glass Gothic Christmas Windows (which was also the image for the last tag challenge in the Facebook group.  I just took the tag I had made and adhered it to a dry embossed card base.  After adding some more ribbon, and sequins, my card was finished.  It's not my best but I was dealing with a nasty migraine at the time.

My second card uses one of the images from the Victorian Ladies Greyscale Coloring Book.  I started by printing my chosen image at 3.5 x 5 to make it easier on my eyes while coloring.  Then, taking both Lyra Skintone and Castle Arts Harmonious colored pencils, I colored the image before using a blender pencil and eraser to soften some of the edges/highlights.  Once the coloring was finished, I layered her and added purple brads before adhering her to a dry embossed lavender card base.  The final touches, were adding some highlights using Castle Arts Gel Pens along with some purple/lavender bling.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship for this week's challenge.  My card this week uses Lawn Fawn's Car Critters and Car Critters Christmas Add On clear stamp sets.

I started out by stamping all of my images, and sayings, onto Copic X-Press It card stock using memento tuxedo black ink before coloring all of them using both prismacolor and copic markers.  Once the coloring was finished, I fussy cut several of the images out and assembled my scene using micro glue dots.  I then blended Tim Holtz stormy sky distress ink around them to "darken" the sky a bit before layering, adding brads and then distressing the bottom edge using my paper distresser.  I then added it to a dry embossed green card using pop up glue dots.  The final touches were pine needles distress ink blended around the card edges, white/silver bakers twine along the top and crystal ice stickles as "falling snow" to finish it off.

Who's A Ho?

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a snarky Christmas card I made for a friend using images from Conjurer of Dreams Grumpy Mrs Claus images and a saying from the Ugly Christmas Sweater Gumpy Seniors set.  

I've been slowly trying to get my craft area organized (thank you migraine) and discovered a package of felt "Ho" stickers I bought from Hobby Lobby years ago during one of their after Christmas clearance sales.  As soon as I saw them, I knew what I wanted to use them with.  After combining the Grumpy Mrs. Claus image with one of the sayings from the Ugly Sweater Set, I printed it out before also printing the same image at 5x7, only without the saying.  Taking the smaller image, I trimmed it down, layered and added some red baby brads from my stash before setting it aside.  Taking the larger image, I adhered it to an A4 red card, trimming edges as needed before adding some red organdy ribbon from my stash.  I then added the layered image using pop up glue dots before adding three of the felt "Ho" stickers.  The final touch was adding crystal ice stickles to highlight the snow outside the window and the buttons on Mrs. Claus's dress.  I'm really happy with how this turned out especially since I'm on the third week of this blasted migraine.

Fall Inspired Window Train

 

Hello and welcome.  Today I'd like to share with you a fall inspired card using images from Conjurer of Dreams. I started out by printing the Steam Train in the Seasons and Fall Window Scene onto Neenah white card stock. I then took a Fiskars© finger "knife" and carefully fussy cut the window panes out before adhering it over my train image, then layered and added some maple leaf brads I've had in my stash for years and not used.  Setting that aside, I dug though my old Stampin Up stamps and found the Petite Patterns set and stamped the border using the leaf images and adhered that to a riding hood red card.  I then stamped some migrating ducks in memento tuxedo black ink in the top left window pane using my Stampscapes© Ducks In Formation stamp.  After adding my layered image using pop up glue dots, my card was finished.

Hello and welcome.  Today begins a new challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and this week we're being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I would like to thank them for their sponsorship.  My card uses Gerda's Under The Weather digital stamp, which is discontinued, but the clear set is still available.  

 

After combining the image, and saying, I printed it off onto Neenah white card stock then colored using my Copic© markers before layering and adding black brads.  I then took my card and added raindrops using a raindrop stencil, Tim Holtz stormy sky and milled lavender distress inks and a blending brush.  After stippling ink around the edges of the card, I added my layered image, and small bow, using glue dots.  The final touch was adding waterfall stickles.
